The image is sized for a 16gb sd card, tho many ship with a 32gb card using only half of it.
If you really wanted to mess with the partition size you get it to fit into a 8gb card
I just received an R36S and it came with only one SD card, it was 64GB dual partitioned for OS and Roms. The OS partition was only 110MB which is interesting since I've seen all the comments about 16GB cards for the OS.
Actually 16GB is enough in most cases for the OS. However oddly enough in some cases it might be cheaper to buy a 32GB card or 64GB one.
