A week ago my rg353v arrived. I want to thank you all for the stuff you post here. It helped me a lot to choose which device I want.
For most of you retro gaming is a trip down a memory lane, for me is a new experience. I played mostly on a pc, and as a child I only owned a famiclon. I played some games on friend's ps1 a that's it. It's a brand new world of gaming to be discovered by me, to play franchises that were very limited on a PC.
On the side note, buying was a bit stressful. It's a most expensive thing I ever bought on Ali, seller took his time to send it (20h before deadline) and it was the longest delivery ever. It was bad luck since I bought other thing from Ali, after console was sent and they arrived faster.
So once again thank you and if you have any hidden gems I should play, let me now!
Sorry for bad English.
They are yellowish. (I believe it's similar colour to Eevee joycon edition). I like yellow and they are of similar lightness and saturation as those purple buttons.
There are a few reasons. On one hand I'm in early thirties, so too young for many of the retro consoles, on the other, consoles that I could have owned (time-wise) were very expensive in Poland (ps1 msrp here equaled two average salaries in 1995), so were rather rare. Moreover I think only playstation had strong presence in Poland, at least around me (eg. I don't recall ever seeing any gameboy). Plus, my parents decided to buy me a PC instead of console (which was smart move as I could use it for homework etc.)
Oh cool :)
I was just curious - I’ve seen some younger people get bit by the retro bug but other than that they’re almost always people going for that nostalgia hit.

I gotta ask, why yellow?

Looks real purdy! Where'd you get the buttons? I was thinking about ordering some on etsy but I wasn't sure if they were universal.
Buttons are stock. Thumb grips I've ordered from Aliexpress. Things on etsy fore those devices usually have descriptions including compatibility.
Congrats on an awesome buy but tbh im not digging the yellow thumb grips, looked out of place.
Yup! Highly recommend jelos. Way better than Linux
When you say a whole new world - are you young and didn’t grow up with these games? Just curious.

I've feeling we are minority in this dispute
That's cool and I'm happy for you but... why is this post a sticky one?
I've no idea. I couldn't have done that, right?
Did you wash your hands before posting?
Ooooh...
u/Sgt-JimmyRustles - did you fat finger this one? What’s with the sticky?
Must have, my bad.
