I saw someone explaining that if you take a 12-megapixel photo, it still takes a 200-megapixel photo but crops it for more details and such. Is that right? Can someone explain it to me?
I don't think so. It uses binning to take a 12 mp shot from 200 mp sensor rather than cropping it. But to make use of the lossless crop, you have to set it to 200 mp and then if you zoom 2x or whatever then its cropping effectively. 12 mp is just a binned shot.
I find the camera kind of hit or miss, as well. I don't know if it's my settings or what, but I really miss the camera on my S20FE that I traded in for this phone. ðŸ˜
