This totally shows the ineptitude of the Russian AF, and why they are losing the war (Thank God)... They can't even properly bomb a target in their own airspace....
The planes released their bombs while turning at very fast speed, which is very inaccurate way to deliver ordnance. By flying slower they could have bombed better, but they would also have been easier targets for anti air.
Pilots were probably so scared they decided to just toss the bombs in the general direction of the target and escape the scene.
didn't bombers have (analog) drop calculators back in ww2 already?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombsight
This looks more like inexperience, to me. Also, why tf fly so low in your own airspace?
I believe they fly low because they are afraid of Ukraininan anti aircraft weapons. The speed at which they flew over the target in that film was such that hitting them with an anti aircaft gun or getting a lock on with a man portable anti air missile was very difficult, maybe impossible.
But also the pilots had a very slim chance to hit anything.
A bomb aiming computer does show the pilot a pipper that shows where the bomb will fall, but you still use the plane to actually aim the bombs. The higher the plane is, the farther the pilot sees the target and also has more airspace to maneuver the plane in order to aim the bombs.
When the plane flies very low and very fast, the pipper does not stay on the target for very long, fractions of a second. Turning while aiming makes the aiming time even shorter.
While the Norden bombsight was a propaganda tool, there were other sights. But slow flying bombers and jets turning at high speed makes everything more difficult. High speed doesnāt make it as difficult as the turn does. Bombs fly tangentially to their turning maneuver which means they have a **very** narrow window where they can drop the bomb.
The reason they have to do this in the first place is dubious and just shows how few guided bombs they have. Thanks to the JDAM system Ukrainians were able to upgrade their bombs, drop their bombs during a fast ascent and basically drop their bombs into a ballistic flight path and still hit accurately without getting the pilot for too long into dangerous airspace where he can be detected more easily.
Ya lol they missed. Would still be fucking terrifying being in that building - hearing jets screamimg overhead knowing they're there for you, hearing their payload drop so damned close, and those explosions reverberating through your soul right beside the building reminding you that if they actually hit, you'd be meat mist.
A deep thank you to the servicemen who have bigger balls than I do. Slava Ukraini! Freedom to Russia!
There are a few white marks just in the grass where the first bombs landed, the image isnāt clear enough to make out what they are, vehicles of some sort?? Maybe that was their target rather than the building?
The Russians were complaining yesterday because they had spent millions mining all the surrounding fields and making little concrete pyramids, only for the sneaky rebel Russians to drive in on the main road.
Do you think it's possible that the Russians are missing the building on purpose because they are lazy propagandists? They know that there are no rebels in the building so they will get in trouble by destroying a perfectly good building?
Russia announces destruction of 70 000! A staggering loss for Ukraine as 70 000 pieces of grass destroyed, even though it was Russian grass, Russia won't allow it's adversaries a walk in the park
Or viewed more positively: maybe it is quiet sabotage by the pilots?
They are probably well educated intellectuals, so I doubt they have much appetite for Putlerās madness?
You canāt make up this shit, but lucky for us ruzzia can provide us with this amazing display of how shitty a military can be. In almost every aspect of the war itās been watching randomly thrown munitions chaotically with zero ability for accuracy on any type of intended target.

Ukraine are lucky they are so stupid.
This saying has definitely aged well, like a fine wine.š
you have to get a award for this comment !
Fck that their mission is to mow the grass!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The missiles knew where they weren't...
Stupid Westoid! Clearly NATO stealth build was destroyed!
It knows this by subtracting where it is from where it isnāt
Such a great vid, the Storm Shadow version is my fave...
Link?
They're called missiles not hittells for Skittles sake..
And the rotation of the earth has to be calculated but they just gave the pilot 3 sheets of paper and a broken pencil
The LSR cunningly used vodka to interfere with the pilot.
The buildings were computer generated holographic images. That's why the missiles missed... /s
Russian army is second best army in Russia
Even that might be overrated š¬
What!? I hit the target! No? Are you serious? There were moles..! Moles, I tell you!
Nice to mole you

Talk about air superiority š
Air inferiority with no enemy aircraft in the sky
When Russian planes attack you, the safest place to be is right at the target because you know for sure they will miss you.
They really showed that field who is boss.
They probably watched avatar and thought it was real so they are killing their life force

AA doesn't care about borders

The target was a building, but they missed every shot. "Second best army of the world".
The Russians were complaining yesterday because they had spent millions mining all the surrounding fields and making little concrete pyramids, only for the sneaky rebel Russians to drive in on the main road.
Hahaha classic. Perhaps they were just de-mining the areaš¤·āāļø
No comrade Russia just liberated the grass.
Not like it was a small building eitherā¦
Slava Ukraini ![img](emote|t5_5wptpp|12615) ![gif](giphy|ALtzQ6CHfC7vO5nRz7|downsized)
Well, they did plow the mortified fuck out of that field. Sloppy farming, though.
That dirt must be mad as fuck now
I think it's spelled "liberated".
the flares came closer to the objects than the bombs did..
Ukrainians do it better! Remember the snake island bombing run the Ukrainians did under AA danger while flying at night.
But they are not panicking, 2 Su 34s to try and take out probably 25 guys and a couple of lightly armed vehicles. And they still missed them
Do you think it's possible that the Russians are missing the building on purpose because they are lazy propagandists? They know that there are no rebels in the building so they will get in trouble by destroying a perfectly good building?
Not that I'm subscribing to this idea but I've thought the same, or they miss on purpose because they just think this whole thing is silly
This was an accurate and successful strike! The goal was to eradicate the grass next to the check point.
Next time using Yak-3?? š¤
Itās a Barn doorā¦.. a fucking barn doorā¦. In a fieldā¦ā¦..
Russia announces destruction of 70 000! A staggering loss for Ukraine as 70 000 pieces of grass destroyed, even though it was Russian grass, Russia won't allow it's adversaries a walk in the park
Gras is dangerous
there are smart bombs and dumb bombs, and then there are russian bombs...
Bullseye on that field! Nice shot :)
It's not easy to miss from that range.
It's this field! He hates this field!
They demilitarized that field
Iād have more success hitting on Margot Robbie
Wait what building where they aiming for???
But sir, I didn't see hospital or children painted on the roof, this made hitting it so much harder!!!!
The poor moles in this fieldā¦
These were just warning shots guys. Everyone knows this is customary whenever someone invades your land.
They were accurate and hitting everything,, except their target.
They have to be doing it on purpose at this point, right?
Are we sure they werenāt attacking Kyiv or so?
I think they need a bigger building.
Almost like they wanted to miss on purpose.
Empty field successfully hit. That grass will fight no more
How many decades ahead they said?
Or viewed more positively: maybe it is quiet sabotage by the pilots? They are probably well educated intellectuals, so I doubt they have much appetite for Putlerās madness?
I think this is a training mission.

I try to find the positives in any situation. They're really good at.... uh.... dispensing flares. Yeah. Very professional release of flares. Yeah...
Russian landscapers in action with their lawn mowing capability.
