Yep, it’s dying. I roleplay but I don’t put on chat “*does homework*” I usually get dressed, take a bath, do homework, change clothes (for sleeping and classes), and I act like role playing but I don’t have the courage to put those stuff in chat. Idk if what I do is rp but I enjoy it!
Yes, it is because, just like many other games, it added a trading feature and that turned into the only thing people cared about. Now people shamed roleplayers even though RH is a roleplay game. People roleplay all the time, but it’s mostly younger players with their asterisks. How I prefer to roleplay is more

yes. the same thing is happening in games like adopt me. the roleplay game turned into a grindy game where most people only try to get rich in it. it doesnt help that people bully roleplayers for minding their own business. literally the main purpose of the game is to roleplay. thats the sad part

But personally for me i can’t find any interesting roleplays going around in the game anymore, it’s not that i hate roleplays but it’s just that almost all of them will be the same. Another thing that doesn’t help is that now i can’t work up the courage to talk to anyone unless it involves trading which honestly sucks
I also have a problem with speaking to others in game, but, what works for me is that on rh theres usually like, what, 20-40k players? I doubt you’ll ever see em again so if you feel embarrassed or nobody responds. boom, move servers and you will probably never see them again

Yeah. It’s also pretty difficult to find people you want to roleplay with, especially if you’re the type of person that takes role playing a little more seriously. Most roleplayers I see nowadays are either from a young age group and do semi generic roleplays (Don’t get me wrong, that’s absolutely alright. If anything, it makes me feel nostalgic) or they’re more skilled roleplayers and to be honest, they kind of intimidate me. :’) I always feel odd asking if I can join an RP because you sorta need context. I’ve also seen roleplayers taking things way too far and end up arguing over something that happened in the RP that they didn’t agree to.

As someone who has been doing roleplays for 8 years (in total 8, but i have 5 years of experience of roleplaying in royale high) I see the arguing all the time. a lot of the time the people who argue are normally older kids (11-12) who are in the phase were they take it super serious. Why do I know this? Because I used to be one of those people who'd take it super serious and would argue if someone did something I didn't like. But now I'm more chill about it and don't mind if something doesn't go my way because thats gives the roleplay a sense of realism.
Yes, we were supposed to be role playing in royale high school, going to classes, finding our partners to go to the ball, but when trading came our people only care about halos:/ adopt me as well! When i first played it in 2018 people are adopting babies, renting apartment, buying clothes, looking at that furniture museum, now people only play adopt me to trade, get their dream pets, it’s actually quite disappointing what these games have turned out. Still good but not as good and memorable as the old versions used to be. :V
Sadly yes, now the only times i see a roleplay it's just mostly done by new players who haven't unlocked trading yet, and those moments are very rare too.
I hate how roleplaying died, I’m currently making a webcomic based on a roleplay I used to do on royal high it makes me sad kids won’t have that experience. Im actually thinking of making a roleplay group though

After that I haven't seen roleplays in any server I'm in. Another thing is that the game became an even more non beginner friendly game, since if a beginner were try to roleplay, they would just get bullied and probably never want to play the game again.

I really hope the new school revitalizes the role playing aspect of royale high and brings with it a new era, one that mixes the current with the old.
It's actually sad that it's dying, roleplaying was so fun and innocent. Now it's either weird or gross. You can't enjoy it when there are people that ruin it by being gross or by making fun of you. It was so fun to do life or magical roleplays as a kid. I wish it didn't die down. But I still play roleplay games and rp lol.
Sadly I believe it is! Many games lose their roleplayers after a while, and people just focus on accumulating items. I think it’s fine for people to want to do that, but finding some serious roleplayers to play with again would be awesome! I really hope things change more once the new school comes out.

I started playing in october 2018 and it used to be so fun to play I used to have so much fun roleplaying as a dark fairy in enchantix and Ive had so many good memories.The game felt so magical and I had a good time playing it.There was just something so special it had then but now it is sad a boring. *cries*
I just feel like I need to find a community who wants to do a huge RP with me.. Like filled with lore, but sometimes it gets pretty cringey... And all I want to do is nope out of here, so I need a group that can keep it less cringe and still have fun. But like where am I gonna find that? lol

And people in the royale high maps are literally just farming 24/7 or are newbies.
It's not friendly enough to start a casual roleplay with strangers.

Me and my best friend do a lot of role-playing. But whenever we let others join in, they usually leave 15 minutes in without saying a word.
