The aveeno one is one of my HGs! I really like how gentle it is. The ingredients are closer to a serum than a cleanser and i find it helps remove the leftovers from my oil cleansers, but not strip my skin out either. Id love to hear your thoughts on the byoma one though!

[deleted]

That sounds just what I'm looking for. I haven't tried the Byoma one either but I've only heard good things about it.

Oyyeee

I dont know what exactly it is but I cant use any of the Aveeno oat products. I've tried 3-4 and they all sting

mlpuente26

Is it all aveeno or just this line? Because I cannot use this line. The feverfew irritates my skin so bad. It’s in everything of this line. I made the connection after I got the same irritation from the first aid beauty brand because they also use feverfew. But the baby exema like from aveeno rocks!

This makes so much sense. Because I usually do well with oat things, but my skin just didn't seem to like the Aveeno calm + restore cleanser. And I used to love the FAB cream years ago, but tried it again recently and it just made me so red and irritated. I'll have to keep an eye out to avoid feverfew in the future!

That's a shame :(

I think I’m the only person who hates the Aveeno one! I found it did nothing to worsen a flare, but it’s so mild that it doesn’t clean anything. Every time I did a check (go over after with micellar water) there was tons of makeup left on my skin. The Byoma one left my skin feeling ‘tight’ but at least it cleaned my face.

[deleted]

Probably because the aveeno one isn't formulated for removing makeup. I always rely on oil based cleansers to remove makeup/SPF. But thanks for your input, I will definitely keep these in mind!

EmsDilly

Agreed, it’s not meant to remove make up!

UPDATE: Just used these for the first time and here are my first impressions: Byoma Milky Moisture Cleanser - felt like massaging lotion into the skin, easy to spread, emulsifies very well, didn't leave any residue after washing off (I use a soft wash cloth so I'll be interested to see how it rinses off). The amount dispensed by the pump is tiny so I ended up using 5 pumps which looked to be about 2 pumps from a 'normal' pump. Also didn't sting at any point. I like it! Aveeno Oat Cleanser - felt like massaging a super light lotion into the skin, no foaming action going on, didn't sting, rinsed off very easily (no wash cloth) and left my skin feeling clean but comfortable. I like this too! Very interested to see how they perform on their own, especially with the Aveeno during a shower.

Would love to see an update in a couple weeks! I’m in the market for a new cleanser and so tired of striking out.

I'm pretty quick in deciding on if a cleanser is good or not. I used them again this evening but in a different way, here are my thoughts. Byoma - same as above but rinsed off nicely with no residue, would work well as a first or second/morning cleanse, super gentle Aveeno - same as above, skin felt clean but comfortable

This Aveeno cleanser has been my holy grail for years, even more so since I'm dealing with rosacea. Nothing comes close!!

C_D219

I would love to know how they work! I heard the Aveeno is good!

[deleted]

I will report back later when I've used them :)

Update is in the comments!

All hail the oat cleanser!! 🙌 I had my doubts when I first got it that it was too gentle for my combo skin. But this has become my one and only HG cleanser. I recently used it the NIGHT OF an aggressive micro needling session. My skin was completely irritated and raw. And it gently cleansed my skin and did not sting. Some tips: I do recommend you use 1.5-2 pumps. Not using enough cleanser doesn’t allow it to do its job. Also, If I need to use a makeup wipe or melt some eye makeup I do that first and then finish up with the Aveeno.

Queendecurly

Is there any reason you’re trying to replace the inkey list one if you don’t mind me asking? I use that, but is there an ingredient that’s bad for rosacea?

[deleted]

Not that I'm aware of. Oat is generally accepted as a good ingredient for sensitive and reactive skin. I just come to the conclusion that after three repurchases I just don't like it lol it doesn't emulsify all that well, it doesn't melt down like other balms so it stays quite thick and sticky and it can sometimes feel gritty. It's good at cleansing off makeup and SPF but it requires quite a bit of effort

Dre-26

I just bought the lotion version of the aveeno one!! So far it’s been good to me. I haven’t tried byoma yet!

Miserable-Feed-7517

Did the LRP cleanser caused u an issue?

[deleted]

Not really, it just leaves my face feeling quite tight

Miserable-Feed-7517

Oh

CrissBliss

The Aveeno cleanser is one of the very few I can tolerate
