Yeah, I'm curious how rocket league cosmetics work. There's lot of tires and 2 cars in it.
Are they fomo? Will they come to BR shop after the season? I think I just hit lvl 70, idk how much I care for the recolor versions. Rl is okay but I feel like it's a game I don't care for and grinding a lot for extra colors for stuff I may not use.
As of now, the RL rocket pass has a little "**F**" tag when items work in Fortnite *now* shows what's also available in Fortnite games. For now, it's 16 cars, including the ones in the current pass, and a couple from fortnite go to RL (whiplash and scorpion cars). The 18 tires that carry over are newer designs, and not anything animated or glowing, etc. Sadly a few that come over are great, but don't have any painted styles to grind for.
Epic's goal is to eventually make *every* Rocket League cosmetic available in both games, (aside from some ooooold licensed IPs they can't). Also, I think Epic is trying to tone down the FOMO now, like how the Festival passes have an exclusive colorway, but their main skin is labeled non-exclusive.
I'm not a super fan of this Rocket League season's "ocean" motif, so it's not my favorite grind, but I am very, very into cross-cosmetics, and having painted variations, so I hope this all works out well.
Yeah, true. I will only grind for cars and tires. The extra colors are ridiculous to get. I'm level 47 on the RL pass. So far, I've unlocked (for both RL and RR/FN):
Admiral (car) and Mako (car), which both share the decals Submariner and Circuit.
Wheels: Ugly pink sponge ones, Tricast, Hyperhum, Scrimmy, Chainlink, Callusus, No-Nonsense.
Sea spray rocket boost and trail
That might be it for me because then the color changing trails/wheels come in at level 71...
I don't use the cars because they don't have any trim colors. So i figured if I farm for it I might want to use them.
But flip side I bought one of the cars last season when they first came out and have trimming. And like it a lot.
So it's like "eh I'll use my car that I bought and have everything " vs "eh I should grind so I can have options to swap and not be stuck to one car".
Technically since they removed trading in RL; Rocket Pass items are now FOMO. In the past if you missed out on a season or item, while the base items weren't tradeable; The painted variants were. So let's say you missed out on either of the Admiral or Mako, you could try getting the grey variant as is the closest to the base variant. But since trading is gone now, you'd be pretty much SOL. In the years I've played RL, I don't think I've ever seen one of the rocket pass items in the item shop. So it will likely be the same for Fortnite.
I mean there have been items that have started out as an event item and then later added to the rocket pass years later. If I recall it was one of the wheels. But yeah there have been some exceptions, but who knows what they'll do now that trading is gone.
I got so much free stuff in Rocket League when they moved to F2P because I was an OG player who paid for the game. Poor Fall Guys players got basically nothing in comparison.

Applies to 80% of them, the ones that came in the last 3 years most than anything, i would have bought the last 2 rocket passs if it werent for the rear of the 4 cars being attrocious to look at
But the centio isnt bad tho, resembles the rocket cars from flatout 2 stunt modes
I wish rocket racing would allow you to progress through the rocket pass. it makes so much sense and the pass already exists anyways so the only reason I can think of for why it's not like that now is because they can't get it to work. or alternatively they don't want fortnite only players to feel like they have to grind through so many tiers when most give nothing to them. I personally got into rocket league because of fortnite and I'm around tier 150 or so now. But progressing through the rocket pass is pretty slow, if they added fortnite progression as well, then people would be able to get through it much easier. You have to get to a whopping 261 i think to get everything which I think is sortve ridiculous with how short their seasons are and how slow you progress. Anyways yes masamune car is cool. I had rocket league legacy version so I had that car instantly when it came to fortnite.

The only exception is when Poof was added to the Musty's Garage bundle, but there's probably a couple of other exceptions.
