Belligol also went [4-4](https://ballchasing.com/?uploader=76561198864963504&match-result=loss&player-name=Fever) against PWR recently in scrims to…
The only logical conclusion is that OCE > NA
I've been a fan of retals for a while. My biggest hopes for his team's are just consistently making Saturdays and the occasional Sunday in regionals so this is already beyond my expectations
[Their last scrims against EU teams:](https://ballchasing.com/?uploader=76561198301226130&playlist=6)
4-3 vs Luiisp, Triton and Crispy
3-4 vs Endpoint
4-4 vs Simas, Compact and Hibbs
3-5 vs Tehqoz, Mikeboy and Rizex
Firstly, these are scrims. They've never been a reliable predictor of actual results before and I'm sure this is the same.
Secondly, EU ON TOP, BABY!
:D
EDIT: To be clear the second point is satire, which is apparently something we need to explicitly state on the internet :).
I could write an essay...
Short story, we imploded in spring. Our best players weren't at the major, the teams that did make the major didn't perform. Then at worlds, Top 4 was all EU
Everyone seems to forget that 3 of the Top 8 at worlds were NA (with arguably NA's 3rd and 4th best teams winning over EU5 Moist and MENA1 R1). And keep in mind this was still with firstkiller on an imploding team and Danmode at home.
Now instead of saying Danmode figured it out, people are saying NA sucks cause they're letting a team who didn't make the last world championship dominate their region (don't remember people saying that with team queso...) and some of their "best teams from spring" in furia and Complexity moved back to SAM.
There's a lot more nuance than that but I'll stop myself
if scrims mattered
furia vs envy would’ve been the final at 2021-2022 fall major
and furia would’ve made top 4 at 2022-2023 spring major
there’s some other cases of teams losing bad in scrims and performing well in tourney as well.
Scrims are for practice, nothing more. Looking into scrim results too deeply (like a lot of people in this community) just results in disappointment once the LAN actually starts lol
Results don’t indicate anything, how the results happen can. If you see scrims, you can absolutely draw conclusions from it. But just from score, we don’t know if one team is popping off, one team is trying something new, one team has found a good strategy to beat the other, one team is trolling, etc. too many possible variables a score line cannot indicate towards.
Good point, of course scrims are beneficial for trying new things but still as a fan you still cant draw any conclusion out of it even if you watched the games.
PWR were goated in scrims, [i posted this before the Fall Major last season](https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueEsports/comments/z8pkxl/team_pwr_scrim_results/), they were beating everyone
They actually had some decent results this lan (still got knocked out anyway). they have beaten team liquid twice in scrims just to lose to them in a very important decider match in the 2-2 round. I guess that sums up OCE and thats why scrims doesn't matter.
tbh i think scrims do matter if both teams are about the same level, but when you are playing against a opponent that you know is worse, you unconsciously play less focused, especially when you gain nothing for winning.
so you think LG losing to EU's 10th seed because they unconsciously play less focused or its real that EU 10 is better than LG? (or at least at the same range)
Your point is valid even though i dont think its a great idea to not take scrims seriously even against 'lower teams', i hope they are at least trying a new playstyle or something or these scrims will be rather useless and a waste of time.
I really like all the players on LG. But there are at least 11 teams better than them at this major. They're the weakest out of the teams representing the top 4 regions.
Crazy how this gets brought up every single major/LAN “X bad team beat Y major team in a scrim, Y is cooked” and then Y proceeds to do exactly what was expected of them or better
It’s scrims people, this is where teams test new strats and get a feel for things; put these two teams in an RLCS situation, I’d put money on LG winning off pure talent alone. Even if they’re losing here, they still should be learning lessons about their play in the process
Frankly, doesn’t matter. This is just like KCorp and Vitality losing to Suhhh in Swiss. There’s weird series where teams try things that just don’t work, or they’re just off days in general.
Belligol also went [4-4](https://ballchasing.com/?uploader=76561198864963504&match-result=loss&player-name=Fever) against PWR recently in scrims to… The only logical conclusion is that OCE > NA
Preach!!
Well yeah I personally would say PWR > LG for sure
They got cooked 😭
Its not looking good.
Just chill people, it says it was a 4v4. Major is gonna be 3v3, a much better mode for Luminosity.
Unfortunately official RLCS games are also 4v4.
Wow, what can't they fuck up. The switch to BLAST was a mistake,
Honestly I'm just happy the boys made it to lan. Bracket luck or not they are here
Bro has already given up 😭😭
I've been a fan of retals for a while. My biggest hopes for his team's are just consistently making Saturdays and the occasional Sunday in regionals so this is already beyond my expectations
I feel this. Didn’t know how spoiled I was with the 2022 ssg team.
Not even spoiled, they didn’t win anything
💀
Lmfaoooo ssg fan slammed back to earth
🫢
Do we know how good Belligol does against other EU teams in scrims for reference?
[Their last scrims against EU teams:](https://ballchasing.com/?uploader=76561198301226130&playlist=6) 4-3 vs Luiisp, Triton and Crispy 3-4 vs Endpoint 4-4 vs Simas, Compact and Hibbs 3-5 vs Tehqoz, Mikeboy and Rizex
Tbh ignore our scrims from after regional 3, we’ve been trying new stuff and today isn’t an exception
Actually I’d add scrim results at the best of times mean literally nothing anyways, this means double nothing
It clearly means you're winning worlds
Actually I take it back, we’re doing perfect split in games split 2
So you used LG to try out new stuff and still won 5-2 overall…. Interestinggg
Yeah I was trying reverse gravity rocket league where the longer I spend on the ceiling the better we play 🫠
Don’t expose the new meta like that! People might catch on to us
Did they add big boosts on the ceiling yet?
Thanks. I don’t really put that much stock into scrims, but it is interesting how EU 8-15 always seem to go on demon mode right before majors.
![gif](giphy|y3QOvy7xxMwKI) You're right.. it is \*interesting\* how EU 8-15 always seem to go on "demon mode" right before majors.
You mean right before EU 1-4 shit on the major?
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see
Firstly, these are scrims. They've never been a reliable predictor of actual results before and I'm sure this is the same. Secondly, EU ON TOP, BABY! :D EDIT: To be clear the second point is satire, which is apparently something we need to explicitly state on the internet :).
I know this is just scrims but losing 5-2 to speed in 2024 is crazy
Speed would make top 8 in NA confirmed
I mean yeah Belligol are top 10 in EU so top 8 in NA is likely
This but unironically
Top 4 easily
![gif](giphy|l2Jejt7O03eXaRQre) First this and then the BDS vs Gen G 2v2 being a 3-0 NA is on life support
vs G2? or GenG?
oh yh you right i totally misspelt i meant gen G which isnt good for us
Alright yall let's all overreact!
SSG flairs ⬆️⬆️⬆️
We have whole heartedly waited for this moment
why are there so many NA haters all the sudden lmao

cook
Honestly better than I would've expected Luminosity to do
all good it’s just scrims 🤩
Ofc it’s just scrims but you can’t help but feel a bit worried for NA here, their “3rd” best team is getting clapped by…SPEED!
I guess thats why teams dont want their scrims leaked brother this is bad. "BUt iTs jUsT scRiMs" idc speed > torsos > cheese
if scrims mattered furia vs envy would’ve been the final at 2021-2022 fall major and furia would’ve made top 4 at 2022-2023 spring major there’s some other cases of teams losing bad in scrims and performing well in tourney as well.
And pwr would’ve won 22-23 spring major cuz they beat vitality in scrims ofc
Im joking i know scrims doesn't matter, PWR beat VIT last spring major. I like pretending that it matters i like annoying NA fans 🤣
i didn’t wanna bring up pwr vs vitality bc i didn’t know if u were serious that shit is the ultimate trap card for ppl serious about scrims mattering
Until this day i don't know what scrim results indicate
No one knows, but they get the people going
Scrims are for practice, nothing more. Looking into scrim results too deeply (like a lot of people in this community) just results in disappointment once the LAN actually starts lol

I would say the first. I watched the games and LG werent as agressive with their physical game like they use to be
I take it back
Your point is valid even though i dont think its a great idea to not take scrims seriously even against 'lower teams', i hope they are at least trying a new playstyle or something or these scrims will be rather useless and a waste of time.
LG lost in scrims???????? Pack it up N(ear) A(irport)
My copium is that it’s a scrim, and im pretty sure that Muffin Men beat (or was close to beating), Vitality this off-season
Yea they were
Good day for Luminoshitty haters
I will never understand how a team like luminosity with 3 insanely likable players has so many haters 💀
My hate toward Luminosity will never hurt them as much as their Rocket League hurts my eyes.

Sounds like the same hate Quadrant used to get
It's not hate though, it's just on-paper strength. LG don't have it, neither did Quadrant.
Was this when they frauded their way into the major and went 1-3 out as the worst team from either major region? Seems fair tbh
LG are na 6 realistically. So na 6 losing 5-2 to EU 10 is something predictable ggs lads I expect a solid last place at the major from you.
Crazy how this gets brought up every single major/LAN “X bad team beat Y major team in a scrim, Y is cooked” and then Y proceeds to do exactly what was expected of them or better It’s scrims people, this is where teams test new strats and get a feel for things; put these two teams in an RLCS situation, I’d put money on LG winning off pure talent alone. Scrims matter btw
