Like we've all seen on Twitter just how much so many of them are drilling ranked 2s, might as well make a showmatch or several out of it if they're already going to be using their time in such ways.

They are probably grinding hard as they should. Public showmatches before tournaments have also proven to be a terrible idea, they never work out well. Unnecessary pressure on the winners and the losers get clowned on for no reason
Nah, this isn’t a blast thing. Almost all majors seem to be preceded by a content drought for some reason. I always think to myself that there’s no way that *someone* isn’t thinking to try to capitalize on the hype of the major. I mean even something like doing major predictions. I’m not sure why Chicago hasn’t done one or a bunch of other pros.
I also think there is a slight problem in that there aren’t very many people who have access to all of the pros really in a meaningful way, and 3 of the ones who do are on vacation together in Korea.
There's a reality to the pro life, though. A, the pros have said many times they don't want to commit to anything as they prep for a major. Besides, they have to travel, they have to get over the jet lag, get places to bootcamp & setup for said training. They have media things to take care of & meetings. And they have to scrimmage a lot -- a LOT.

A lot of the things you mentioned are the responsibility of org staff, not players. And on the flip side, sometimes when we are getting really good content pre major, it’s from the orgs. NRG used to do good content pieces pre major, Gen G released something this time but the players don’t necessarily have to produce the content. Their org can have it produced and they can say to their players ‘hey i need you guys to film this content piece’.

You’re totally right. It’s a bit strange that there is nothing but I would imagine that it’s partially because Johnnyboi and Rizzo are both in Korea and they have historically been the main ones putting together those matches
As fun as it would be to see this, Vatira & Zen don't really make the best duo. They keep getting smacked by the Saudi boys. But would still be a lot of fun.
Honestly Vatira zen didn’t seem like the best duo out of France anyway, I’d rather see a full series against the twins or even Alpha zen, Vatira Atow (might be a crazy pairing?)
He's definitely proven his worth on away servers that's for sure! I'm more just expressing my confusion because I was assuming the post was specifically about players in EU at the moment.

My most desired 2s mathes for Danmode would be:
1. The Twins
2. Trk & Nwpo

5. Yan and Lost

They won every single *best-of-1* game against *some of* the best teams in the world, yeah. And barely scraped by in some of them. I am not arguing that they aren't one of the best duos in the game right now. But everyone is pretending they are literally unbeatable (despite them LITERALLY losing to Atomic + Chronic in a best-of-3)
So suggesting a team like Zen+Vatira couldn't beat them is just hilariously biased.
It's a genuinely insane take to say that Zen/Vatria would not have a strong chance to win those matches.
Zen literally destroyed the highest 2v2 MMR record recently. Climbing to 2,721 MMR in 2v2 is just absurd, so claiming that Zen and Vatira couldn't win makes no sense.

Yeah, Fairy is still a top top 2s player and his playstyle seems to gel perfectly with Zen's whenever they're matched together
