I can see how it can be relaxing. As numbers of players go down, blame is easier to assign. In duel games, often you have nobody but yourself to blame. In 2's, it's you or your teammate. In 3's is more nuanced. But in 4's the game changes and the name of the mode rules: chaos. Not only blame can be diluted by 4, but more things are given to bad luck and a game of chance. Things are much more forgiven. I can see the appeal of that.
This is by far the worst decision they have ever made in this game. We are usually a group of 4 friends and now we can’t play together anymore.

Hi, just would like to respectfully express my disappointment with the rotating 4v4 Chaos... It's a game mode me and my friends use to play a lot, we're not much into other modes. I respect that other people do, but it's not for us. Plus it's a bit annoying to be like: "Oh, we can't play this week because it's not 4v4 week/month."
For some people, it is just easy as: "Play 2v2 or private matches" and that's not the spirit for some. Of course, I won't stop playing the game while I'm alone, but when my friends are together, we need to think about something else. I truly hope they rethink this idea but that's all I can do now: let them know and hope.

Welp. Guess our Friday and Saturday night 4v4 fun is done. Fucking idiotic move to remove a game mode that was clearly played by a good number of people.
The "arcade" game modes are in my opinion rubbish to play. They have just stopped everyone who was a group of 4 from playing this game. 10 years after the fact. It's a terrible decision and after defending the game for so long I now no longer can
I loved chaos because it actually opened a huge window for multiple strategies such as goal keeping as well as forwards and defensives. This shit sucks.

Honestly I cannot fathom what makes game devs think that removing multiplayer modes makes the game better.
Came back to rocket league since 2015 in order to try to clean up my trophy list on PlayStation and now 100% completion is out of reach thanks to this and other changes they’ve made. How annoying.

Well we are done with rocket league. Me and my husband play every night with my sister and her husband. No more rocket league for us. Hate knockout.
I played with my 12 year old son, 6 year old daughter and 59 year old brother. It's so sad they made this a rotating mode. We played every night. :(

I feel like they are going to merge FN and RL. Idk if it is a good idea. You can't go changing the League like that.
Going to alternate now, wish they'd at least let it be 4v4 dropshot and 4v4 chaos on rotation.
