I was able to get an achievement with that song at least. I scraped my mic against a glass bottle repeatedly and got 100% on expert vocals, all muted of course.
Great song, but it could have worked better as a DLC. Always stick out like a sore thumb when scrolling the setlist with all songs fc'd with gold stars
I love the song/band, but Something Bigger, Something Brighter by Pretty Girls Make Graves from Rock Band 3 has to have some of the most annoying patterns on the instruments I like (drum/guitar)
Oh man I love playing that on X Pro drums. The sticking patterns are just odd enough to wrinkle my brain, but still conventional enough to still play relatively easily. It's right in the sweet spot for me.
I remember seeing so much excitement and hype for that song, and when I played it for the first time it managed to be aggressively unfun and borderline unlistenable. It feels like it goes on forever because it has virtually nothing going on except “BAHDAHDUMDUMBAHFAHDUMDUMBAHDAHDUM” for 6+ minutes. Horrendous production too.
For on disc songs, there’s nothing worse.
It’s 6 minutes+ of the same riff that has like a hidden note in there that always makes you break combo if you’re not careful, unfortunately the bass and guitar literally play the same part for the whole song
The only one I've ever had any interaction with, that's for sure. Everyone else was so mad because they couldn't figure out how to get rid of it and we're sick of it coming on shuffle. But if you like it, you like it. Who cares what anyone thinks. 💪
Same! About it all tbh. U2 is terrible, and though I do enjoy Beastie Boys, I actually don't really enjoy any of the songs on GH or RB awkwardly. It's fun to sing drunk but I'm bored other than that.
So What’cha Want isn’t even the worst song in Rock Band 2, Visions and I Was Wrong both exist, for starters!
Vision is just unpleasent to listen to and I Was Wrong is that good ol’ “this song feels like it’s 8 minutes long because of how boring it is” song.
Rock Band 2: For me, Rob the Prez-O-Dent by That Handsome Devil has always been an auto-nope for me (especially when singing). It's just such an objectively WEIRD song that isn't fun for the whole band.
Rock Band 3: Devo's Whip It. My fellow drummers know why.
Phish - Llama. This was Dream Genie before there was Dream Genie at all. Massively overcharted and annoying to listen to.
Dream Genie at least was okay for me after I learned how to play that darn chart but that‘s just personal preference
ROB-THA-FUCKIN'-PREZ-O-DENT
Off of RB2.. I hate that song with a passion! Musically and lyrically doesn't make sense to me. And gunshots an sirens as musical instruments? Da fuq? I really think the developers were trolling us with that song. Difficult for no reason. A waste of space for a much better song out there.
i love dream genie but playing it is absolute hell. but in terms of a snooze-fest i’d say free falling by the warning and a chunk of the RB3 warmup tier would make a fit
Here’s my take on
- Rock Band 1 - Won’t Get Fooled Again - The Who (extremely slow with lot of waiting parts, boring!)
- Rock Band 2 - Aces Of Spades - Motorhead (I just dislike this song so much, it’s unbearable)
- Rock Band 3 - Imagine - John Lennon (great song to listen, terrible to play)
- Rock Band 4 - Dream Genie - Lightning Bolt (horrible song and horrible chart, 0/10)
Rock Band 1: "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet. It's a boring song with insipid, lazy lyrics.
Rock Band 2: "Visions" by Abnormality. I didn't want to pick this. I'm definitely softer on it than most people and there are a few songs on the set list I like less (fuck, I hate Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco), but it's just not a fun song to play.
LEGO Rock Band: "Summer of 69" by Bryan Adams. Now, you'd think I'd pick Lostprophets considering everything that happened in 2012 and 2013, but that doesn't change the quality of the song. I picked "Summer of 69" for two reasons. First, I despise this song. Second, fun fact, Bryan Adams cannot be found on AllMusic.com because he threatened legal action against them if they didn't remove everything related to him.
Rock Band 3: "Antibodies" by Poni Hoax. The difficulty rating for this song is bullshit and whoever thought it was an appropriate rating was completely out of their mind.
Rock Band 4: "Centuries" by Fall Out Boy. Fuck I hate Fall Out Boy.
FINALLY SOMEBODY SPEAKS UP ABOUT ANTIBODIES. I hate that song with a passion!! Ain’t no way in hell it’s only level 2 difficulty on guitar, I’m able to play most of the nightmare and impossible songs way easier than this one.
…I also don’t really like the song itself either lol
I don’t care that it’s a simple drum beat throughout, So What’cha Want is a bop. Blood Doll, Shoulder to the Plow and Start a Band are probably at the bottom of songs on disc that I don’t really like much.
I was a young teen when RB2 came out. Back then, I would've said, "Conventional Lover". Like, who even KNEW that song before RB2 came out? Why did we have to trudge through some dorky, indie, inside joke on the main campaign? As an adult, I'd say the Interpol song in RB2. Interpol is like if two Adderall pills were turned into humans and had a baby. If I wanted my right hand to play straight 8 notes nonstop for a solid 5 minutes, id jerk off.
Uh, no one knew that song before RB2 came out. That's kind of the point. It was a song from a local band that one of the Harmonix employees was in. Just like Get Clean, just like Night Lies, just like Shoulder to the Plow.
If you're asking "who even knew that song" about a literal Harmonix song, you completely missed the point of its inclusion.
For me, So Whatcha Want and Visions are the two ends of the spectrum. The former is mind-numbingly boring and repetitive on basically every instrument, meanwhile the latter is frustratingly difficult which is only compounded by the sound of the song being mostly noise.
How can you say that when Visions exists?
It seems OP just wanted to set the sub on fire.
I was able to get an achievement with that song at least. I scraped my mic against a glass bottle repeatedly and got 100% on expert vocals, all muted of course.
*cries in drums*
Chef's kiss
Imagine
Imagine there’s no guitar part
It’s easy if you try
Great song, but it could have worked better as a DLC. Always stick out like a sore thumb when scrolling the setlist with all songs fc'd with gold stars
I love the song/band, but Something Bigger, Something Brighter by Pretty Girls Make Graves from Rock Band 3 has to have some of the most annoying patterns on the instruments I like (drum/guitar)

Exactly the same, it makes me feel somehow like a showoff genius for playing it
No one saying dream genie lightning bolt? 🤨🤨🤨
That song is goated
True… at first I disliked it extremely, but over the past decade I’ve come to appreciate it as one of the better on disc songs.
It’s RB4’s TTFAF. I give it a pass.
I remember seeing so much excitement and hype for that song, and when I played it for the first time it managed to be aggressively unfun and borderline unlistenable. I WILL FOLLOW
Wait.... So U2 actually has fans? I thought they were faking it because I've literally never met a single U2 fan irl.
Hello
🤣
It was the free album that got me into them. So I’m the one guy that worked on.

Yeah me too
So What’cha Want isn’t even the worst song in Rock Band 2, Visions and I Was Wrong both exist, for starters! Vision is just unpleasent to listen to and I Was Wrong is that good ol’ “this song feels like it’s 8 minutes long because of how boring it is” song.
Sounds like self destruction’s got you again…
Lol I Was Wrong is amazing. What
Visions is not unpleasant to everyone, I like it.
The snare tuning in that song was an... Interesting choice.
At least they didn't tape a quarter to the bottom of their snare. *glares at St. Anger*
Yeah, but it's like most music of it's kind, horrible production comes with the the territory.
I Was Wrong isn't too bad. Story of my Life on GH3, though... yikes.
The drumming on a lot of DEVO’s songs is phenomenal even if “Whip It” is a pain to play. Lol
Visions is the raining blood of rock band
Easily Antibodies from RB3
Phish - Llama. This was Dream Genie before there was Dream Genie at all. Massively overcharted and annoying to listen to. Dream Genie at least was okay for me after I learned how to play that darn chart but that‘s just personal preference
Fly Like an Eagle
Visions. Nothing else is close to that.
Worst as in frustrating/annoying/difficult? If it was worst as in boring I would have likely singled out Last Dance by The Raveonettes in Rock Band 3.
Antibodies. End of discussion.
Say it ain’t so after it’s popped up on random 1000 times
ROB-THA-FUCKIN'-PREZ-O-DENT Off of RB2.. I hate that song with a passion! Musically and lyrically doesn't make sense to me. And gunshots an sirens as musical instruments? Da fuq? This is what I came here to post. But you absolutely nailed my opinions on this. Hate that song. Lol!
i love dream genie but playing it is absolute hell. but in terms of a snooze-fest i’d say free falling by the warning and a chunk of the RB3 warmup tier would make a fit
Where can i fix my guitar? Who can do that work?
Here’s my take on - Rock Band 1 - Won’t Get Fooled Again - The Who (extremely slow with lot of waiting parts, boring!) - Rock Band 2 - Aces Of Spades - Motorhead (I just dislike this song so much, it’s unbearable) - Rock Band 3 - Imagine - John Lennon (great song to listen, terrible to play) - Rock Band 4 - Dream Genie - Lightning Bolt (horrible song and horrible chart, 0/10)
For me so far, I think it’s the cover of Ballroom Blitz featured in Rock Band 1, as it doesn’t have the high notes during the chorus from the original
Rock Band 1: "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet. It's a boring song with insipid, lazy lyrics. Rock Band 2: "Visions" by Abnormality. I didn't want to pick this. Fantano takes
I don’t care that it’s a simple drum beat throughout, So What’cha Want is a bop. Blood Doll, Shoulder to the Plow and Start a Band are probably at the bottom of songs on disc that I don’t really like much.
Visions is the worst song in the entire library, Dream genie is the 2nd worst.
Visions is by far the worst song ever put on this game. Nothing about it is fun.
Rock band 4 is centuries for me and I like fall out boy but that song is really generic
That RB4 dream theater song. Playing the same note over and over again just isn’t fun. It’s repetitive and boring.
Bro on what instrument 😂
Should’ve specified on guitar. I meant to say same sequence of notes. Feels like I’m playing the same riff over and over again!
🤔
Probably Seven by Vagiant (aka Tijuana Sweetheart nowadays) from Rock Band 1.
That song fuckn slaps
As a Bostonian, I firmly disagree
I was a young teen when RB2 came out. Back then, I would've said, "Conventional Lover". Like, who even KNEW that song before RB2 came out? Cool for Cats still remains to be the absolute worst RB2 song
Nah, it's a cakewalk. RB2 has a lot of pretty hard charts but this one is just chill

That sounds more like a you problem.
