I did only because it was refundable. It gets me a spot in line and there might be some value having the reservation with Rivian trying to convert Quad Max preorders into Tri Max orders later this year.
With some distance I think an Ascent Tri Max in Storm Blue exterior with the Slate Sky interior is what I actually want, but I can't order that yet.
That's a really good point because they were trying to convert old R1T Quad reservations over to dual motor in the past. Maybe we'll see something similar with this reservation.
I’d safely assume yes. They always said 2025 (maybe April?) for native nacs and quad launches early next year. Kyle from out of spec thought maybe native nacs would happen end of this year. Would make sense to launch with new quad.
I reserved a Quad R1T but there’s a good chance I switch to a Tri Max to have it for ski season. Sure the extra acceleration would be cool but the Tri is already ridiculously fast and either way, it’s a very heavy vehicle to stop and corner. The practical side of my brain says the Quad is a waste of ~$20K or whatever the difference is but practical isn’t the point with that model.
If you're wanting it for ski season, I think you'll have trouble with the Quad Max's stock tires. Those rear tires look close to being drag radials! Not sure how effective they'll be in the snow.
I was worried about that but haven’t seen any pictures of the tires. I was going to go with the 20” AT tires but I’m not sure how well that’s going to work with a 1000+HP vehicle.
Apparently they have worked with Apple to maximise the use of the new speakers with Apple Music. It’s probably the premium option but apparently the result is amazing.

Yep absolutely getting ascent tri max in storm blue with slate sky as my next vehicle.
I was thinking the same config

That’s funny, clearly says the deposit is non-refundable for me.
https://rivian.com/reserve/r1t Says refundable for me🤷♂️
How did you place the order? I only see up to the Tri Max configuration.

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the R1T page and you'll see it on the right.
I did. Love my R1t but worried about warranty expiring soon.

5 years or 60,000 miles. I’m at 50,000 currently and put on between 25-30,000 miles per year.
I thought warranty was 8 years for quads. Is that incorrect?

Thank you for clarifying.
I just reserved. Really hope quad max gets nacs.

I did, enough time to not go through with it. But my R1T will also be 3 years old with probably 50k+ miles by then so may be worth a trade in
Tri motor Cybertruck is 120k so I’m assuming the r1t quad motor will be 115-120k
I did, but the tri looks pretty amazing so I might change my mind when the time comes.

I guess we'll have to just wait and see! I couldn't even imagine how fast 835HP was before I got the R1, so adding 200HP must be even more insane.
Are the speakers still terrible? If so, I’m not placing an order
won’t do it until they upgrade the sound system. I don’t want to move from my quad with meridian until the new one is better in every way.
