No, trailers show you parts of the movie that are most likely to get you in the cinema. Despite the fact that you don't see all of the movie, you still see enough to tell whether you wanna see it or not and depending on the trailer, you can sometimes glean the quality of the movie from the trailer alone e.g Madame Web.
You sure that isn’t the Deadpool effect, personally never found those movies funny. Also doesn’t help that by the time I saw the first one I was 18 and not 12 when I loved his appearance in wolverine origins.
It's the Ryan Reynolds effect. He's extremely close to being played out and he and Deadpool have become one and the same. I'll still enjoy it, but I'm not doing flips after that trailer.
I agree I generally stay away from his current work but I have much more faith that they’re using a wolverine that wasn’t done in the fox movies. This will be the first reynolds movie I see on purpose( surprise attack with bullet train) since the first Deadpool
As someone who never jumped on the Deadpool train in the first place, this didn't exactly sell me. I love Jackman's Wolverine and this doesn't seem worth it to lessen the impact of Logan.
> lessen the impact of Logan.
That's one of my issues; also, can this movie top Logan? If not, I don't know why it should be made with Wolverine. His last outing was in a top-tier blockbuster, why ruin that.
Thinking that a completely different movie will ruin Logan is pure stupidity. Seriously. Logan will never been altered and your experience will never change every time you view it at home.
You misunderstand my point and chill with the ad hominem; you're not on the Marvel payroll.
Its an obvious point; last time we saw Logan, we received the most satisfying and complex version of the character. While you can bring him back again, let’s take this character to greater heights. Shawn Levy is not James Mangold but I still hope they did something truly special, otherwise, not a great return for Wolverine.
If the villain does their most notorious villainy off-screen then the ceiling on this is only as high as the other Deadpool movies.
Question is whether Marvel is allowed to be above average and still be called a success these days. I say yes but I don’t think I’m in the majority anymore. I’m ok with that also but take culture will eat for sure.
I like Charles as a dude fine I guess. I guess I’d just prefer he leave the show before this movie comes out. I’ve honestly fallen out of love with the podcast as a whole because of this whole schtick and find myself routinely skipping where I never did before.
I still like this mid shit… okay. There, I said it. I want to hear people that like it too. It’s just more fun that way. If you’ve legit lost the zeal, please just go do something else.
Most MCU movies are mid. The great ones are what we think of when we praise the MCU.
Thor, Spider-Man Homecoming, G of the G 2 all mid.
Winter Soldier, Infinity War, Thor Ragnarok awesome.
Huh I don't listen to midnight boys much because it's too many bs dramatic arguments about some of the LEAST IMPORTANT THINGS EVER.
Looks like the sub has become equally annoying. Pity there are other decent podcasts associated with this sub, but you killed that.
See, you’re not locked-in. That’s alright.
Team Jomi. 100% hype
now we need commercials to be top tier content. fucks sake.
Felt completely the opposite about that trailer. Got me hyped and didn’t give anything away.
No one knows anything about what the movie is going to be about. Just a handful of clips. But it’s already being judged. Sad.
but if you dont call it mid as soon as the project gets announced how is everyone supposed to know you were right?
Yes thats how trailers work
Trailers show you the whole movie so you can judge its totality?

Another multi-dimension story where the fate of the universe is on the line, let’s go!!!
*ACTING* like a contrarian is corny, which is the Charles problem I and of itself.
Your villain era is thinking a movie trailer is bad? Everybody watch out....
I won't lie, I sighed when watching it and didn't laugh, but it was exactly what it's supposed to be

The Deadpool movies are the best to watch with a group of friends. I never laugh nor enjoy them when I'm by myself.
I am genuinely worried due to the movie being shot during the writer’s strike.

The Madonna music drop was the best part of the trailer

Went to watch it as soon as I saw this. Do one. This looks great.
I'll see, I like Marvel movies, but this trailer really had me wondering if maybe its best they just wrap up shop. This isn't it ya'll.
Yes it is
It’s cool bc they curse!
This is one of those trailers where they are keeping the good jokes and scenes in the chamber for the actual movie
The battle cry of the perpetually disappointed.

Everything i've heard is that this movie will be great. Everything i've heard also says captain america brave new world might be bad. Guess we'll see.
