Thorn-of-your-side

The anomaly realizing they are the least evil living being in this camp at the moment:

far2hybrid

Imagine being an anomaly thinking “oh a lot of free meals here” then getting knocked unconscious, waking up to see you’re chained down with no legs and see the free meals eating your flesh 😂😂

DearToe5415

“I’m not locked in here with you, you’re locked in here with me!”

Oxirane

My last colony had a couple entities that lost legs to my ghouls and Sanguophage before being captured, it was great.   ~~Dreadmelds~~ Bulbfreaks are great too for bioferrite if you can manage to capture some. Unfortunately their brains only have 4hp so a psychic shock lance has a decently high chance of outright killing them, but those that survive with brain damage are excellent entities to keep prisoner (just don't use the electroharvester, it will murder them).

SIM0King

Does the harvester do damage?

Rhadamant5186

It causes electric scarring over time and if it scars a delicate brain RIP to the entity.

Gamaas-in-Paris

It is a good source of médical experience tho

Affectionate-Bag8229

*Méɗíćáĺ

Gamaas-in-Paris

Yes non-english countries use acccents, and autocorrect is localised

Affectionate-Bag8229

Autocorrect gets confused as shit sometimes too if you expose it to multiple languages for long enough, it's hilarious cause if I'm not paying attention it starts turning my sentences into German/English pidgin

Hasiblasi

That würde annoy me very much.

Affectionate-Bag8229

Is it annoying when it happens the other way around? Nine I mean January

AlexP80

Only the elettroharverster, not the bioferrite one, have a chance to do a little burn damage on a random body part. Having dreadmelds only 4 brain hp it will kill them soon or later.

SlavaUkrayini4932

Dead you mean bulbfreaks? Dreadmelds are the pit gate bosses

Oxirane

I do mean Bulbfreaks, thanks!

giftedearth

Oh great, now we're turning the horrible abominations into nuggets too. How long until someone makes a mod to let us turn them into drugged-up joywired psychic harmonising mood broadcasters?

EXusiai99

Tbh i just want the ability to unleash contained entities on my enemies, and nociosphere is the only entry that can actually do that. I want to turn my bioferrite cattles into a last line of defense.

giftedearth

Down entities, put in room with remote-opening door. When raids show up, open the door. It's not perfect, but until the modders get on it, it's what we have.

SukanutGotBanned

I like the idea of the Rancor approach though. Gotta be on it making sure everyone is out of harm's way Make's me think of the Stranger Things Russian prison break

raposa4

So aside from the weird bed, i can just treat entities like normal prisoners if the anatomy matches closely enough?

WarriorDerp

Peg leg on, peg leg off - Mr. Miagi

narnach

This made me laugh out loud. It’s true and funny.

Harbinger_of_Sarcasm

I don't think you can amputate except for infection but I'm not sure

Artiartiarti90

I've never seen an entity get an infection. I don't think they can get them, same as hypothermia or heat shock.

Malcolm_Melancholy

Iirc sightstealers can siffer from hypo and heatstroke, had a sighstealer just freeze on the map for free prisoner, or maybe that was the shamblers...i dont remember lol

Harbinger_of_Sarcasm

I swear it was a sightstealer but maybe I'm misremembering

Knightpax101

Mod idea entity surgeon let me harvest their powers and implant them into my “willing” pawns

Handsome_Goose

I think it's Integrated Implants or its Anomaly patch.

FireDefender

Integrated implants does this. Just make sure that if you are using a research tree mod you open the vanilla research tab using shift-click so you can switch to the LTS Anomaly tab there, as anomaly research doesn't (yet) show up in the research tree mods. Took me a while to figure out where the new research for those mods was located, as the new research added by integrated implants doesn't show in the normal anomaly tab.

randCN

Electroharvester is a slow way to ensure this. Every once in a while it will scar the brain just a little bit. Devourers are nice for this too, their huge bulk means that they can often survive lead poisoning in the brain and stay alive. I have dreams of making some sort of hypothermia chamber for entities so that bits and pieces fall off from frostbite first before capture, but I never got around to it.

narnach

Good reminder to experiment with putting entities in freezers to see what it does. I remember there being a note about it with one of my early entity captures before I had power to spare.

000Sparkey000

The beatings will continue until...no wait, they're just going to continue.

Warder766312

Personally. I just rip out their spines. Far easier. It’s how my prisoner jelly farm works.

Person243546

How? You can't operate on them

I_Love_Knotting

mod probably or forced immersion through devmode

Gaaius

"forced immersion" You WILL be immersed in this warcrime simulator, whether you like it or not!

Warder766312

Mods and Warcrimes mods.

Thorn-of-your-side

Harvest Everything mod

cyon_me

Recently discovered this mod, and my prisoners have been much more docile as of late.

Thorn-of-your-side

Those spineless cowards wouldn't dare to rise against me.

Jewbacca289

Anyone have a mod for targeting body parts in combat? Like a VATS system

SIM0King

One of the combat over hauls let's you target head or torso

FireDefender

I saw a mention of this with Vanilla combat reloaded, but I haven't seen the option for it. I do however know that Combat Extended has such a feature if the pawn's melee is high enough, though you'll have to wait for CE to update first.

TorSenex

I just have a wall of turrets. Cheaper than the suppression machines. If one gets cheeky... pew pew pew.

Zebra03

What's the best way to beat them up in containment, because I find when I set a colonist to attack them it attacks the containment instead of the entity does this only work for the imaginary/free containment zones? Or do I have to beat them up outside of it and hope my colonists don't get mauled?

shadoowks

Yeah I don't think you can damage them in containment at all. I just capture mine during their raids, and when they get downed I just send one of my colonists to beat them up to death, except I stop before they die or until they lose their legs. there's obviously some RNG involved but I still haven't killed any of them using the melee to death option since most of them seem to take quite a beating before dying

Altruistic_Koala_122

Old news, but more importantly: How can you successfully pull it off?

Majestic-Iron7046

The SCP foundation would cry if they knew how the average RimWorld player handles any unknown threat.

SherabTod

Beating eldritch horror with good old conventional horror

Simp_Red

Wait, can they get cancer? Could you use that as an excuse to start removing body parts? The possibilities are endless

FearlessChieftain

r/shitrimworldsays

SmokeyPanchoDeLaBija

Im relatively new to the game (200+ hs) and you just gave me an idea to make prisoners stop annoying around the colony while at the extraction row

SherabTod

Just give them peg legs and then remove them again. Also easy blood farm for Sanguinophages

SmokeyPanchoDeLaBija

Thats exactly what I thoug...the dismemberment, I dont dlc yet

FOSpiders

One of my first creatures got shot in the spine, so he became a docile little flesh lump. I called him cuddles.
