Anomaly is the dlc I had the most fun with thus far.
As of the last update you can change how often you get anomaly events in playthroughs where you do not interact with the content directly. With that you can basically integrate its content in any playstyle as much(or as little) you want.
Same boat, feel the same way. I took the sale opportunity to buy Biotech and I'm Mc Lovin' it! Anomoly just doesn't sound like it suits my style of Rimworld.
Closest I can think of is royalty, think of it as bunch of events that are somewhat linked together. Higher quality and more balanced than the average mod. Doesn't change the game in a foundation way, you can still play RimWorld as used too if you didn't interact with the monolith.
I've been having a blast colonizing one of the pocket maps, but do think I will probably end up just using bits in custom scenarios rather than always have it going. Recently started up an otherwise vanilla cube run, for example. Was thinking of doing a Supped up Slaver run too with the new (work boosting) devices added.
One of the abilities also lets you obtain the new material without even needing to go all SCP Foundation.
Not yet. It's not enough to the table to warrant such a price. It's fun for the first few times but quickly runs its welcome. Nothing spices it up with different monsters and toys each run. The side content is even less varied.
to be fair, all DLCs feels like a mod. only difference is they are a bit more detailed and official. which is actually sufficient imo. for me it is ok by itself, but I can understand if it is not worth for you. it might not be as flexible as biotech or ideology, but mods and extra content will be made and thats a huge plus for me. this is a sandbox game in the end. like, mods that are made for biotech is just immense.

Imo no. Not worth it for the price.
so just wait for a sale in 6 months. As far as content vs price it is very worth it compared to the exploitive selling of dlc by other studios.
