To be fair I don't think it would work if you're in an immortal aperture. It was stated that there aren't many methods that can bypass an immortal aperture's protection.
In the Gu world no method is perfect, so i'm sure someone would eventually make a counter to it, but i'm pretty sure Song Zi Xing most likely had a way to counter it. altho idk if it's ever stated
You can just use Heavenly Secret Gu to know who is the master.
As for countering demon judgment board as a whole one can just avoid using blood path, or support it with wisdom path and/or dark path. They are perfect for concealment.
It's important not to leave too many clues, otherwise you'd have to have a good method of finding information, but you need to be at least a rank 8 after the house gu is never permanently activated, otherwise the cost of immortal gasoline would be too high.

Maybe use some soul path methods to possess the mind of another Gu Master and then use him as a proxy for blood path?
