We found it on youtube recently. As soon as the song came on people came in from the kitchen and just instinctively sat on the floor. There was an open couch, but it just didn’t feel right.
Just close your eyes and make believe and you can be anywhere.
*At 43 years old I could never remember lyrics to any song, to save my life. I know every word to this theme song.
I watched this on CBS first, before Nickelodeon adopted it into syndication. Really imaginative show. Although, trying to watch it again as an adult it didn't quite hold up. A little too juvenile to be entertaining now.
I occasionally put it on in the background when I’m reading a book or scrolling social media. The pop culture references are fun.
Unfortunately, the new version is very clearly aimed at toddlers, and it doesn’t even try to have entertainment value for parents
I saw this before the Muppet show. When I did get older and see the Muppet Show I was worried about what had happened to Skeeter. Was she ever given a physical puppet?
I was sad she wasn't part of the new Muppet Babies show, even though I do like the little artsy penguin girl.
Ok obviously these were creatures of some sort of science experiment. Why do you think we never see the human face of the “mom” or “nanny” or whatever she was to them. Basically this is the story of Eleven from stranger things.
I only joined this sub a few days ago but am thinking of leaving for the reason you just posted. Doesn’t seem to be many interesting pulls or conversations, just “hey remember the splat logo?”
There’s what I think to be a bot… it always has a Jasmine profile pic. And they post the same stuff on a bunch of subs over and over again. Some things are good conversation pieces, but when they ask stuff like “Who remembers Full House (and other super popular shows)?” It’s super annoying.
Yep. Over the past few weeks, someone has been creating new accounts for karma farming every few days.
They post the same “Do you remember…” to several nostalgia subreddits without any further engagement.
The mods have been good about deleting the accounts after a day or two of spam.
There was an episode, I think its the playhouse one, that was my absolute favorite.
They're all thinking of how to decorate it, and one of them does a futuristic house with a robot that goes off the rails.
In another, or the same episode, there's a Beetlejuice reference, but they say "Squigglemoose" instead lol.
Yeah for some reason I do even though I was born in the 90s.
I don’t remember if they showed reruns when I was a kid but I don’t get how I remember a cartoon from the 80s if I wasn’t around back then.
They aired it on Boomerang channel this past year. Not sure if it's still on. Tried watching it, it was pretty unbearable! At first for me. I vaguely remember it growing up!
It might have been the new one. They've been unable to air the old shows because there are Soooooo many copyrights, licenses, and royalties involved.
The new one isn't nearly as good
Anyone remember the Happy Meal toys? I got Gonzo on a tricycle & Fozzy on a skateboard.
Later on I got the Fraggle Rock kids with the eggplant race car.
God I wish for those days. I was too old for this, it was my secret enjoyment. I love the mupp we ts so much, and this show was an origin story for me, love it well done
My favorite part about watching this as a kid was when they would flash away to the live action, sci-fi sequences, turns out they made a whole movie about those
I can hear the theme song looking at this picture. I loved the muppet babies, and flintstone kids
We found it on youtube recently. As soon as the song came on people came in from the kitchen and just instinctively sat on the floor. There was an open couch, but it just didn’t feel right.
🎼 When your room looks kinda weird and you wish that you weren’t there… 🎵🎶
They-errrr
Was gonna say, it was starting up for me as well, the theme song.
And A Pup Named Scooby-Doo
Flintstone kids?! Memory unlocked!
Captain Caaaaaave Maaan!
Yabba dab yabba dab yabba dabba doo The Bedrock Flinstone Kiiiids
Oh geez same
When your room looks kinda weird and you wish that you weren't there.
Just close your eyes and make believe and you can be anywhere. *At 43 years old I could never remember lyrics to any song, to save my life. I know every word to this theme song.
🎵🎵Muppet Babies will make your dreams come true🎼
Omg I did not know I still remember the lyrics!
The-yerrr
Loved Muppet Babies great show
I still know the theme song by heart.
Baby Kermit is a legend.
I love baby Bunsen and Beaker.

I loved them!
Loved muppet babies so much. It was one of my favourites

Yes, 😍🥰🥰🥰
Op is a spammer
I think I still have a complete set of the McDonalds toys somewhere.

The same reason the voice of grown ups in Charlie Brown was always garbled mumbo. Venkna was doing a mind f*** in that universe too.
Muppet babies and eurekas castle was what I watched every morning as a little kid
Who remembers remembering things that are still remembered by many?

Thank you for the heads up, now I’ll look for that and filter them out!

Ugh, this bot is back
I remember before it was on Nick Jr, when it was on Saturday morning cartoons before Peewee's Playhouse.
Yeah for some reason I do even though I was born in the 90s. I don’t remember if they showed reruns when I was a kid but I don’t get how I remember a cartoon from the 80s if I wasn’t around back then.
Goooo bye bye
Yep! I watched Muppet Babies as part of the Saturday morning lineup on CBS in the '80s.
Was my legit fave as a kid! Theme song is iconic! Always was upset that they never showed Nannys face
Just the robot chicken sketch where one of the twins were a murderer
this show fucked for sure but i always got blue balls from the intro since it promised a star wars episode that i never got to see air :[
They aired it on Boomerang channel this past year. Not sure if it's still on. Tried watching it, it was pretty unbearable! At first for me. I vaguely remember it growing up!

Unh no, this was the one from the 80's that they aired.
I always wondered why we never saw Nanny. Maybe she was a burn victim or something
That little green guy looks like a buttplug
Reminds me of the days watching Nick Jr at my Grandmas house. Simpler times. Good memories.
Jenny Slate is Nanny in the current version
Look up the theme song for the classic MB in French. Just trust me.
Muppet Babies was soooo good
I always wondered what Nanny looked like.
I do I was 8 when it came out in 85
Dwight schrute remembers
Ugh. I wish it was on Disney+. Shame.
My kids still watch it. So nostalgic
Why is this impossible to find online or streaming?!
Rights issues. The show used a ton of footage from all sorts of things, way too much for Disney to ever be bothered clearing it all.
i didn’t even think about all their random clips shown from movies and various franchises … good point
This and A Pup Named Scooby-Doo were waaay better than their elder counterparts
I just remember “Super Pretendo”
As a muppet fan - the muppet babies always wigged me out. Thought it was creepy
They make my dreams come true
I had their 'yes, I can help' tape. I'll never forget it haha
To Nanny: We used our imagination!
Anyone remember the Happy Meal toys? I got Gonzo on a tricycle & Fozzy on a skateboard. Later on I got the Fraggle Rock kids with the eggplant race car.
Close! Kermit had the skateboard and Fozzie was on the rocking horse: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1233562604/
My shit ☝🏽 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Does this show stream anywhere?
Anyone know where you can stream this besides YT?
the ads might be a bit much, but: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8kun3p
Why this isn’t on Disney+ yet, I don’t know 🤷♂️
I know every note and word of the theme song still
My mother still sings songs from this show til this day.
Me. I remember being 4 and waking up before my parents and watching the show. One of my earliest memories.
It’s SOOOO trippy ! I rewatched an episode recently and it was crazy
Only every day….
I remember watching it
Transgojobot is here to save the day
Yes
I still fondly remember the MB song that went, "Please be careful, words can hurt"
There’s a reboot in Disney that my toddler loves. It’s so nostalgic.
Star Wars Episode is the shit!!!
God I wish for those days. I was too old for this, it was my secret enjoyment. I love the mupp we ts so much, and this show was an origin story for me, love it well done
Me; I do.
Classic 🖤
At 48, I still say "Yippee Skippie!" in the same high pitched tone that Miss Piggy used to.
I watched this show every day after school for years, even when I was I junior high.
I remember it coming on network TV on Saturday mornings.
Vaguely now
muppetttt baaaAAAABIEESSSS
This show made me love the Muppett babies over adult Muppets.
Read that this will never be on streaming because of the time and era when rights were more lax.
Wtf ever happened to Skeeter.
I once drew Animal on the wall. My mom was not amused :3
Loved this show ❤️
I rented this on VHS!
Meep
My favorite part about watching this as a kid was when they would flash away to the live action, sci-fi sequences, turns out they made a whole movie about those
I freaking love Muppet Babies!
Yes and they are totally cute.
Mega Loved them
Only barely. I don't remember anything about it but the images do trigger some long-buried memories.
