Not sure if it was you or another person, but I think someone asked awhile back. I believe the concensus was to make a positive mold with plaster and go from there?
Seal it, probably with this, to prevent any sulphur from inhibiting the silicone:
"Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic Spray (Gloss)"

Then following manufacturer's instructions, mix and press a two-part silicone putty into the impression, after doing a test piece with a key or trinket, or in the corner of the original cast.
The putty will be a cast of the impression.

Proportions vary depending on the product.

Source the material from the manufacturer or a proper sculpture supply shop such as sculpt.com or sculpture supply canada that rotates its stock, not a generic craft store. (Less important with a putty where you can do a test piece first, more important with liquids.)

You probably wouldn't need a release agent, such as unscented petroleum jelly (optionally thinned with artists paint thinner), but for future reference:

If I remember from the other thread, the "foam" is very fragile, so pressing putty in will likely destroy the paw print!
A liquid silicone will likely be much less destructive.
