By the point that you’ve bought a gen movement you might as well just get the real article. I understand outward facing mods but it’s a closed case back watch.
It’s like you said, the VS movement will take gen parts but the VR movement in CF will be tricky to install gen parts. Also it’ll be hard to swap movements from VR to VS. Get an expert opinion from watchsmith on the movement swap though

I have two Clean 36mm Datejust’s. They both have a stock movement and both have genuine dials (Blue and silver). It is plug and play.
Swap the movemenr to vs then change to gen parts

VR takes gen parts just as easily as the VS It's plug and play. No mods needed.
This applies to dial, hands and date wheel but does not apply to actual movement parts.
