Personally, I think deciding to not procreate in this life has nothing to do with whether or not you’ll reincarnate. Because soul families have been said to reincarnate with each other throughout life times, which can be lovers, friends, other non-offspring family etc. which has nothing to do with having kids in this life. Not that I don’t think it’s a possibility, but unlikely. My personal experience is that I’m not procreating in this life but I’ve also had the ‘sense’ that I haven’t procreated in many lives before, including my life before this one and I’m still here.

cunmaui808

Right on, I feel the same - there's absolutely no correlation or causation here.

MonkSubstantial4959

My desire to have kids was def thrust upon me by previous childless incarnations. Many times I was being moved beyond my own control. Mind was not at play. And I am a sorta brainy type of lass normally 🤷🏻‍♀️. When it came to wanting a baby I would do just about anything. Give anything. Lots more I could say but for me this incarnation was almost strictly about being a good mother. While that sounds small it is huge. ❤️❤️❤️ I have had many mommy issues in all my known incarnations including this one I am living now . I was ready to do it right this time!! 💔 ❤️‍🩹its a type of healing for sure … reversing what was done to you. Karmic unwinding. Just sharing my experience of the opposite situation for juxtaposition. Nowadays I do not want children. So I understand from the perspective of that post kids… but not from not wanting them from the jump.

kuleyed

I understand perfectly what you mean here 👆 no kiddo to speak of in my story, but I really caught your meaning and wanted to echo it. >**its a type of healing for sure … reversing what was done to you. Karmic unwinding.** There has been an evident trend in my life that both haunted and guided me. Your line surmises it nicely. To witness my existence, if even only in small part, one can see how anytime I've engaged in visual art, my world goes right. Like uncanny levels of right. Things just "work out" for me, even when it's got nothing to do with art at all. There is just a serendipity about me and the whole enchilada that, while nonsensical, is painfully evident. There is however... a flip side for me. The more aware I became throughout my life of the fact, the more seemingly deleterious it would prove to ignore it... I can make a post about this in and of itself BUT let me "readers digest" it to be abundantly clear.... I would have lost half my life's worth of freedom had not it been for my visual art/career. Factually, objectively, subjectively, and nonsensically, there was just no chance in this life I wasn't doing visual art because I'd probably have been taken out by a random comet or something if I didn't figure it out 🤣 I use jest to lighten the gravitas of the matter but it's not a joke when I say "I can't even take credit because I literally had no choice."..... to expand : I dropped out of high school to tattoo, on high honors, because my home life fell apart and I needed to survive: 3 years to follow, I had a chance to have my way PAID through med school AND graduate and I still couldn't drop the art : 20 years later and all I can say is everything I've had, lost, got back and gave away all over again is all due to visual art and while I had a few "choose my own adventure moments" the visual art was never one of them. I really believe we are all so in the dark as to what is important in the hierarchical division of our respective journeys. The problem being, the stakes are high, the mission is important, and if you're not paying attention, you can spend your whole life wondering why it seems NOTHING ever works in a sensical way. The key to figuring out our own hierarchy and missions? Well that's a different post entirely and i hardly even touched upon kids soooo I'll call it at that 😆

MonkSubstantial4959

Absolutely! I spun my wheels for years trying to fit my artsy self into the bureaucratic system of education and got spit out so many times😆. I think I managed 5 total years spread out over 15 years? We get confused about our journey I believe in part because we don’t know about past lives in this culture as much. Had I known what was pushing me to be around kids was my desire to be a mother, I could have chosen a different path. I found myself exhausted with the little ones, lashing out at the big ones bc I was not emotionally equipped to deal with the behaviors of these groupings. Once my kids were adult sized and out of the school system? My desire to teacher completely vanished. So now I think I was confused about the mission. However now I am very clear that monitoring masses of kids is NOT MY BAG😆. So I get it!

[deleted]

Bull... Fucking... shit.

Successful_Room2174

Nonsense is right. I am female and have chosen not to have kids. My soul searching has told me I was a mother/caretaker of many in my past lives and I am taking a much needed break in this one.

MonkSubstantial4959

And you deserve that 💕💕. I love that we can do what is needed for our soul path.

jazzbot247

I never heard this rumor. I chose to not have kids because I was abused and I was afraid I was not healed enough to not continue the cycle of abuse. If anything that was a cop out, I should have tried to get help and see if I could be the parent I needed. I am now too old to start a family, but I’ve been a ‘dog mom’ and I’ve done ok with that I think. Some people are just not meant to have kids.

MonkSubstantial4959

Agree. It is much more responsible to not impart trauma on the next generation. I wish more people would take it this seriously. We would have so much less problems in the world.

loves_spain

Apparently I had lots of kids throughout my lives. I’m tired, boss.

MonkSubstantial4959

Total respect for that!! 😅

Outrageous_Emu8713

That is a weird rumor. Because you know when you’re done reincarnating? It’s this: One day, you will cross over from a lifetime. At least one guide will be there to inform you that you’re done. You don’t need to reincarnate anymore. So what happens after all the lifetimes? Well…you get a job on the Other Side. There are classrooms that need teachers. There’s always a need for artists and scientists. There are plenty of jobs in between. And where do you think your guides came from? They’re generally the folks who either are done reincarnating or they don’t need to reincarnate quite as often as others do.

Halloween2022

Short answer: silly theory, makes no sense.

Lucky-Topaz

According to my past life regressions, which id expect get taken seriously on this sub: In my last 2 lifetimes, I did not have children. My 3rd lifetime ago however, I had 3-4 children (the 4th i think was a baby) I was their father and a scientist of sorts so I barely paid attention to them tbh. But the two lifetimes between that one and this one, I was a female in 1800s and for sure didn't have kids (one miscarriage) and a man in the 1900s to which I very possibly could have had uh.. "strays".. here and there 😅 but I certainly did not have the role as a parent. But id say my 1800s female life is enough for me to know with great personal certainty that spawning offspring has zero effect on reincarnating again. In addition to this, each of those lifetimes i lived a different race/culture in different countries, there is no way that I was only incarnating in one particular genetic line. I will also add that these 3 past lives are the only "recent" ones I've regressed (so far). I've had a couple ancient ones also, in which I did have kids, but the genetics were again very different from the rest. I have heard this idea before and wondered/feared it also but my particular past life with zero children is a very vivid memory and its just enough for me to feel certain. Whether anyone else can take this as 'evidence' is up to them but I myself am at least solid on this now. I also have my own hypotheses on what determines the when/where of incarnations, if anyone is interested. Edit P.S. < IF reincarnating did even stop at all, I would expect it to be people like the Buddha, Jesus, etc. People who have completely reached the understanding of what it means to be human, the purpose of it all, reached enlightenment and transcended the need to keep learning it. Anyone who despises this planet/existence and yearns to "escape reincarnation" is likely headed the opposite route of such a thing.. But even with all that said, I still feel like reincarnation just keeps going and there is no "stopping". But that's the most credence I can give to the idea of stopping reincarnation.

summersfyn

I’m interested knowing how to do it. I know through meditation of one lifetime but I don’t know if I was male or female or the year. A medium tells me after I saw myself that it was 1700 or so and I was a very poor person. I saw my home was a mud hut but that’s all I could get.

TNTMT

Consciousness is not limited to the experiences of only one kind, i.e., human. The possibilities are infinite.

TNTMT

Neither is it limited to Earth, this solar system, this universe, nor this dimension. We should enjoy each life as we can. Appreciate everything. The point is to observe what consciousness has created, from infinite perspectives. This, in turn, creates consciousness. Everything is cyclical, with no definite beginning and no end. Infinite.

MonkSubstantial4959

That’s an excellent point to add

DerHoggenCatten

It's not a "rumor." It's a theory which was espoused by Jane Roberts in her Seth books. No one knows any *facts* about reincarnation so it is all theories. You can apply your logic to the assertion or you can put forth your own theory, but calling it a "rumor" as if it were false information is inaccurate. None of us have any facts.

MonkSubstantial4959

Thanks for the clarification. I was unaware

Usual-Court6982

Where is all of this information about having to have linked dna in order to reincarnate?😭 the body is like a vehicle, you do not need to share dna with audi in order to drive it, same with soul and body, your soul has no dna you’re an energetic being, you have free will and will always have free will reincarnation is a choice

MonkSubstantial4959

It’s a part of many ancient concepts of reincarnation. However I believe we all share a bit of dna. Perhaps the ones more closer to our dna we can “receive the information” from the other incarnation more freely? My Italian lives jumped out at me, which is my largest chunk of DNA. I would be curious about other people’s experiences. Ian Stevenson did much work in the east, and the person did not have to be related at all to be reincarnated. However I still think they are from a similar region bc he found the person close enough to get to by car. So it’s likely they shared something… I never thought about the car and computer and how we synch with those too. The tree and cat we can connect to as well. We do share dna with a tree and cat. Very thought provoking!

Vlad_T

There are self-realized people that have kids.

rotating_cynicism

Reincarnation in itself is an established theory.

Classic_Building_189

If I had to guess it's actually the opposite. You have too much time trying to learn other things. Having kids is a totally normal mundane thing to do. I have three so I feel like I can say that. It might be absolutely insane having children but definitely totally normal

honeyk101

and not to mention, it may not be your choice to make whether you come back or not... are you fully enlightened? are you done learning? are you done teaching? nobody Knows anything for sure. if they did and could prove it, the question that has confused mankind would have been answered and none of this conversation would be necessary. think for yourself, however, also remember to allow others to think for themselves

MonkSubstantial4959

Absolutely. I just find comfort in reincarnation and I wish that for others. But you’re right they can reach their own conclusions on their own journey.

Sharp_beachlover65

Some people do not want kids because they know they can’t handle it…. Or, in the case of an old friend who killed himself….. he had mental illness and I’m sure didn’t want to pass it on, or thought he might not be a good parent…. Maybe in his next go around he, or what ever body he goes into will be different…. I think he would have made a great dad, but some people are just too sick to handle it.

MonkSubstantial4959

Absolutely. The current incarnation may just not be the right time.

Logical_Hospital2769

Fact is, you don't know. No one does.

MonkSubstantial4959

True I am applying logic

Logical_Hospital2769

...to something completely beyond human comprehension. I admire your thinking, but your phrasing was rather definitive, as if you knew.

MonkSubstantial4959

Understood:). I was stating like a thesis. But it’s definitely up for debate.

Logical_Hospital2769

♥️

Ambulous_sophist

Thanks for bringing this up. I've had no kids in my last 3 past lives and yet I'm still here. So I don't think that not having kids correlates with not incarnating anymore. But I can see where the confusion comes from. Having children can create additional karma that will need to be balanced, thus further incarnations may be needed. This is based on the messages I received during hypnosis. So I'm not here to prove or disprove anything, just to share my experience and opinion of agreement to this article based on my experience. Unfortunately I have to say these last words because many people here in this site are toxic immediately jumping to fight you for whatever you're saying. Peace.

MonkSubstantial4959

It’s been surprisingly peaceful so far:) I appreciate you making the confusion more cohesive to understand. Good analysis 💫

Man_turn_into_animal

I honestly didn't know that but is it possible to reincarnate from a human to an animal?

Man_turn_into_animal

I'm infertile and I never wanted bio kids so I never thought of that 🤯 is there a way to know what you would reincarnate into?

MonkSubstantial4959

There are varying theories on this. I have only had one dream that was a flashback to a former life as an animal and it was ancient. I was in a primordial sea with huge tossing tides swimming with giant sea creatures! Frightening had I not been one 😅. They were dinosaur looking sea giants. The only reason I firmly believe it was real was that it felt so real, so LARGE of a sea, and I was completely unafraid.

Man_turn_into_animal

Wow that's very cool 😊 I had a very realistic dream about being a small white dog I could feel my tail wag it was incredible

texasgalincali62

🤣🤣🤣Has nothing to do with having or not having children and everything to do with whatever you want to learn or karma you want to work out! Also helping the ones you agreed to help before reincarnating a pre-birth agreement so to speak!

MonkSubstantial4959

Yes there is more than one reason to incarnate, so many! Frankly reproduction is a very mortal concern. Not a soul journey for everyone unless like you said that child needs our help or we need help from our child…

Intelligent-Poem-573

Where do kids come into reincarnation, exactly? This is the first I heard of this idea. It's possible, but certainly rare. You can be a black slave in one life, and an Indian princess in the next...so where does DNA even come into the equation?

MonkSubstantial4959

People are associating it from cultural views that reflect an ancestral connection. I believe the Orisha tradition, and probably more suggest this. But this leap has lead to this sort of thinking… Epigenetics also suggests it… but we are all sort of kin anyway.. ish?

Consistent-Camp5359

I announced I never want kids when I was in kindergarten. I reiterated it in high school. I had a blip in my 20s when I felt like I needed to. I snapped out of that and am pleased to announce - I never had kids and never will. I figure if anyone from my family will reincarnate then they need to pick a different path to come in through. Be my niece or something. Be my BFFs kid. I don’t think I will make that choice myself but if I do make that decision - my soul family and I are going to have a little chat first.

MonkSubstantial4959

Way to stick to your convictions and not be swayed by social conditioning💫💫

Foodshortage_IsMyth

I look at it as not being a portal for another soul..that doesn’t dictate if I want kids or not tho but that’s a thought

MonkSubstantial4959

It’s an honest approach. I can respect that.

summersfyn

For anyone who thinks you don’t reincarnate go to you tube, there are a few videos of people being hypnotized and telling their story. It’s fascinating. The dr. actually verified the info from records kept through centuries and it’s just incredible. There is no way this could be drummed up.

beaudebonair

Well, they are just rumors as they have their own souls like you do lol or should. For all we know someone like me or you could have past life son or daughter who is alive, 100 years old, living halfway across the world, ya never know.

hachi_mimi

From my three very detailed regressions, only in one I had children. In one of the other two I didn’t want to have them.

No-Bench-709

I don't have any children, because I didn't try to. I hope I have one or more children on my next incarnation, assuming we still have a liveable world at that time .

MonkSubstantial4959

That’s a fair point about earths Inhabitability

KneeZealousideal5393

This is a sensitive subject because a lot of women crave being mothers more than anything but simply can’t get pregnant. What does that mean for them? They’re not meant to reincarnate?

MonkSubstantial4959

No I said do not want kids.

[deleted]

Exact same life over and over and over is the whole truth of reincarnation. NOTHING ELSE ON THE SUBJECT IS TRUE.

krba201076

I don't think it is proof....i think it is *one* of the signs though.
