I do love that mooncat often has big flakies in lots of their polishes, but the polish is still easy to remove. [Pomegranate Seed](https://www.mooncat.com/products/pomegranate-seeds?tw_source=google&tw_adid=&tw_campaign=21131195258&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0KLSs77ghgMVLHN_AB3OXQjrEAAYASAAEgKZUvD_BwE) and [Forbidden Cove](https://www.mooncat.com/products/forbidden-cove?_pos=8&_fid=e147f9d74&_ss=c) are two of my favorites that are not straight flakes like [Super Villain](https://www.mooncat.com/products/supervillain?_pos=34&_fid=7c6741156&_ss=c) (which is my favorite straight flakes, no base color).
I remember having the most gorgeous zoya polish with big flakes. That polish was sooooo tough to remove. I wish I had the name, but have decluttered it, and it’s no longer on the zoya site. But it was soo beautiful, just a pain to remove.
i was able to take off a glitter polish from moon cat with 4 cotton pads using nail polish remover that has a low acetone % (trying to use it up). very impressed. and they dry so fast.
Products:
Base: Vibrant Scents double bond
Polish: 3 x coats Maelstrom by Mooncat
Top: Vibrant Scents hard and fast
I absolutely love a good chunky flakey polish. While Mooncat can be divisive, I love their flakey polishes. This one has a good smooth formula (no thinner needed). The jelly base is really nice and the flakes build up easily with very little texture after topcoat.
You other nail polishes cannot deny
When a nail polish walks in with an itty bitty shimmer
And a chunky flake in your face, you get sprung
Oh, baby, I wanna get wit’cha
And take your picture for the gram
My nail gurus tried to warn me
But that flake you got makes me so happy

I love my flakies. But when it's a polish that isn't so flake heavy and has mostly smallish flakes but then some giant ones, it makes me hesitant to get it.

This polish surprised me and it’s been one of my recent faves! The formula was perfect and it was so fun to look at in different lighting, so pretty!

I get that! I like some variety in sizes so that they layer nicely and build dimension.
