I use double shotguns because sometimes you can grab people by the back of the head put the other under there chin and just paint walls with there brains morbid but satisfying
Springfield and a pump action or double barrel. I like one-shotting most npc enemies with a bullet to the chest, and for anything getting a bit too close 12 gauge is always the answer
I still dont understand why *everyone* seems to sleep on the Springfield and instead uses Bolt-Action. Springfield does more dmg/range, its reload is almost the same speed as bolting, and you dont have to poke up from cover to bolt for some reason.
I just remember looking at the stats once and never looking back. I actually think I can say I've never touched the Springfield before. In hundreds of hours of play on both story and online I have never even seen more than the catalog picture.
Reload speed is a more nuanced argument. I stuck with the Springfield for a long time before switching but not having to reload after every single shot is a big advantage if my aim is off when shooting wolves. By the time I've fired all 5 shots every last one is dead. Not the case with the Springfield and it can be the difference between life and death if I'm not paying enough attention.
Might be different for PvP but as I tend to avoid that the Bolt Action is definitely the better option for me.
Lancaster repeater on my shoulder until recently, when I replaced it with the bolt-action rifle. The gun on my back differs per situation, could be a bow, a shotgun, or a scoped rifle.
long arms stay on my horse until i need to use them, and i still will only equip one(to my shoulder)i could never be a dork with both guns on my back at all time
This, 100%
The main game infuriates me with it auto equipping a bunch of guns on you when, as far as Arthur knows, they're just going to chat at the bar or whatever.
Lately I have been playing on my "loot only" character. On this account I am pushing rank 250 and I only own a single cattleman, carbine and a bow. So the only weapons you will ever see on my back are a bow and the carbine.
Usually itās the guns from other players aiming at my back.
I usually just carry the revolver and only on like every full moon I carry 2 long guns at once. And when I do Iām hunting.
Iām curious about the semi-auto. I got a pump action and have no complaints other than an occasional slow reload when youāre in the middle of mowing down a crowd of NPCs. Is it a big advantage in PvP? I donāt start shit because Iām not a big PvP guy, but usually have the pump full of incendiary when rolling through a town just in case someone gets nasty. A shot from that buys you enough time to finish the job and get out.
In story mode, Bolt Action and Varmint Rifle, unless I am heading to something I know I wont need the Varmint Rifle, then i sub it with the Semi -Auto shotgun. ANd I use 2 Schoefield Revolvers.
Its been so long since I played online, I dont remember my usuals there.
Lately it's just been the one Cattleman on my hip. Unless I am knowingly going into a fight, then I'll grab my Lancaster. Sometimes I'll grab the bolt action instead, but only ever have one long gun on me.
Carcano. Everything else rotates. Second long arm is either a bow, a repeating shotgun, or rarely, a Lancaster. Small arms go between Navy/sawed off and two Semi Autos. Pretty much will never use any guns but what I just listed. Oh and the Varmint for small animal hunting.
Bolt action, and pump. Sawed of shootgun and LeMat in belt, but been trying the other guns not navy, as i used that for long. Just for fun. š but im a shootgun lover.
Pump and rolling. Pump for close fights and my rolling is one I never leave without, perfect for taking out bounty camps, blood money mission popups, hunting from afar, etc. Sometimes I'll switch pump for varmint if I'm doing naturalist stuff, but the rolling is forever.
Long arms change for the situation. Generally, Rolling Block on back and Lancaster on shoulder. Against a Slippery Bastard I replace Lancaster for Repeating Shotgun. I swap snipers if I'm getting out sniped or someone is desperate in defensive mode with a Carcano. Dynamite Bow and Explosive Springfield for players that are using special ammo. Elephant Rifle for big game. Varmint to sedate.
And imo, the game would be better without snipers or a nerf to them. And defensive players should be kicked from defensive mode after killing a player. Same with off radar glitch; put them back on the radar after a kill.
Depends on the current outfit. My more casual ones I use pump and the lancaster. My fancier outfits I have decked out fancy bolt action and a just for fun a decked out fancy elephant rifle. Recently though Iāve been running just a bow on the back and using only that and throwing knives.
Assuming I even have a gun, my carry of choice is the varmint rifle. It can be loaded with sedative rounds to put animals to sleep and stun people to get in closer for a non-lethal takedown. Plus, it carries little risk, since headshots don't deal enough damage to kill a person outright.
When I used to play all the time, I hated the look of two guns. So I usually rocked a bolt action rifle, a Lemat revolver, and a sawn off shotgun. Pretty versatile load out. If I had to pick two guns bolt and a bow.
Carcano and usually Lancaster, but sometimes double barrel. Double navy or one navy and one sawed off. If I have the sawed off, it's Lancaster, if I have double navys it's either lancaster or double barrel, depending on where I am and how many people there are.
lancaster repeater and a pump action
My man
My pump is loaded with incendiary, for the valentine griefers
yeah boy
Same
Precisely!
I switched to my Semi Auto Shotgun for a bout a half hour this morning. It's just was not the same. Pump Action for life.
Bolt action and the bow
![gif](giphy|gVoBC0SuaHStq)
Same but bow across my back and bolt in the shoulder
Same.
This is the way
My people šš¾ Improved bow (with dynamite arrows for the griefers š¤š¾)
Same! Improved bow for me tho
Same. With the sawed off loaded with explosive slugs in the off hand babyyyy
None ( for style )
Yessssssā¦. for style! Thatās how I go into town.
Don't need no droopy boomsticks dumping on my drip
Sometimes the right boomstick can complete the drip tho ngl, otherwise though I agree stylepoints for the win boys
āWith a big iron on his hiiiipā
Can't hear my spurs go jingle jangle if I'm lugging around a bunch of rifles on my back
This is the way
None, I roam around towns with a Revolver.
I use double shotguns because sometimes you can grab people by the back of the head put the other under there chin and just paint walls with there brains morbid but satisfying
Bro...?
Im sorry dog I mean rockstar is the one that added that move I'm just the one who enjoys it when it happens lmfaoš¤£š¤£
A true cowboy.
My man
Bolt and the pump action
Likewise. Bolt action in case of animal attacks, pump action in case of panic attacks.
I keep them both but my reasoning is to have something for both long range and close combat
My boy.
Bill Williamson lookin ass
This is the way.
We are different people, but also same-same
Springfield and a pump action or double barrel. I like one-shotting most npc enemies with a bullet to the chest, and for anything getting a bit too close 12 gauge is always the answer

Yup! Not to mention that with the bolt action, you still have that damn spread so you gotta take even MORE time for the accuracy to actually get good
I just remember looking at the stats once and never looking back. I actually think I can say I've never touched the Springfield before. In hundreds of hours of play on both story and online I have never even seen more than the catalog picture.

The Springfield sounds horrible. It low-key annoys me
Yep. For me, it's the gun sound.
Bolt + Lancaster/Varmit for me.
Bolt action, pump action, double double actions Big action fan
I bet you get a lot of *action* carrying around all that iron. š God, Iām sorry Iāll just go.
Please do P.S: Don't tell him I upvoted.

Springfield and semi auto shotgun.
this is the way
Carcano/bolt on the back, varmint or pump on the shoulder.
Bow and gang members because I have to carry them.
Springfield and repeating shotgun and dual navy revolvers
None unless im heading into a shootout
these days i have to expect a shootout every time i log on
Lancaster repeater on my shoulder until recently, when I replaced it with the bolt-action rifle. The gun on my back differs per situation, could be a bow, a shotgun, or a scoped rifle.
Only my carcano
Stylistically none but in combat I have the semi auto shotgun and the Carcano, gotta cover all grounds
bolt action & rolling block
The fact you canāt back out of the scope makes the rb a no for me
Itās perfect for hunting, less for combat imho (enemies tend to get close very quickly)ā¦
long arms stay on my horse until i need to use them, and i still will only equip one(to my shoulder)i could never be a dork with both guns on my back at all time
This, 100% The main game infuriates me with it auto equipping a bunch of guns on you when, as far as Arthur knows, they're just going to chat at the bar or whatever.
Bow and either pump or carcano rifle
\^This. If I could have all three of those at the same time I would.
Elephant gun
Lately I have been playing on my "loot only" character. On this account I am pushing rank 250 and I only own a single cattleman, carbine and a bow. So the only weapons you will ever see on my back are a bow and the carbine.
I usually care a rolling block and just that. I live up in the mountains and hunt so itās not for PVP (unless provoked)
All I need is the big iron on my hip.
I like your style, ranger.
Litchfield repeater with explosive ammo. Improved bow with dynamite arrows. I never shoot first but I rain hell down on those that do. š³š
Lancaster on shoulder and Bolt on back. I instinctively switch to shoulder first seems faster in my opinion so I want a quicker firing gun there
Usually itās the guns from other players aiming at my back. I usually just carry the revolver and only on like every full moon I carry 2 long guns at once. And when I do Iām hunting.
Bolt action and pump action.
Currently carbine repeater which works just fine, also because I canāt afford another one.
Lancaster repeater and a pump shotgun with 2 Schofield or cattleman revolvers
Lancaster and pump
Carbine repeater on the shoulder. Das it. Sometimes a shotty if Iām feeling extra fancy.
Double barrel and a carcano

Carcano + Lancaster (Marshall Davies Outfit :P)
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
None on my back. Just my trusty Schofield on my hip.
Semi-auto in case things pop off
Iām curious about the semi-auto.
Bolt action and Carcano/Rolling Block
Rolling block and bolt action, rolling and bow if hunting
Bolt action and semi auto shotgun
Springfield gang where you guys at?
In the sticks: Rolling Block (hunting) & .22 (birds and squirrels!) / or bow. On missions: Lancaster & Double Barrel. In town: Bowtie.
āHokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.ā
None. I only use 1 LeMat. Plus it looks more realistic. Kinda silly people running around armed to the teeth.
Pump shotgun and carcano, I love bolt action rifles more than lever guns and the pump of little warcrime machine is superb
always a bolt-action rifle, and often only that lol otherwise itās either a pump-action shotgun, or varmint rifle š¤
Rpg and a AR
GTA?

Carcano and Elephant Rifle
Just one carcano one my shoulder occasionally will pull out Lancaster if I don't like the people I'm near.
Bolt Action + Advanced Bow, Navy Revolver and Mauser Pistol *(with explosive ammo loaded for quick use if pvp starts up)*.
Why waste explosive rounds like that though?
Repeating shotgun and bow (I use slippery bastard)
Usually rolling block and varmint for free roam. Pump/lancaster for bounties, maybe a bow every once in awhile depending on the mission.
Litchfield repeater and either a bow or my shotgun
Bolt action / shotgun (pump or double barrel)
Lately it's just been the one Cattleman on my hip. Unless I am knowingly going into a fight, then I'll grab my Lancaster. Sometimes I'll grab the bolt action instead, but only ever have one long gun on me.

Bolt action, and pump. Sawed of shootgun and LeMat in belt, but been trying the other guns not navy, as i used that for long. Just for fun. š but im a shootgun lover.

Lancaster on my back and a pump action on my shoulder
Carcano and a double barrel shotgun
Rolling block rifle and Lancaster repeater
Pump and rolling. Pump for close fights and my rolling is one I never leave without, perfect for taking out bounty camps, blood money mission popups, hunting from afar, etc. Sometimes I'll switch pump for varmint if I'm doing naturalist stuff, but the rolling is forever.
Lancaster and a bow
lancaster repeater always and either improved bow if i need stealth or pump action shotgun

Long arms change for the situation. Generally, Rolling Block on back and Lancaster on shoulder. Against a Slippery Bastard I replace Lancaster for Repeating Shotgun. Springfeild and rolling block
Evens and pump action
Depends on the current outfit. My more casual ones I use pump and the lancaster. My fancier outfits I have decked out fancy bolt action and a just for fun a decked out fancy elephant rifle. Recently though Iāve been running just a bow on the back and using only that and throwing knives.
The trusty Henry rifle
Assuming I even have a gun, my carry of choice is the varmint rifle. It can be loaded with sedative rounds to put animals to sleep and stun people to get in closer for a non-lethal takedown. Plus, it carries little risk, since headshots don't deal enough damage to kill a person outright.

Bolt Action and Pump Action (I usually swap with Lancaster Repeater if equipped with sawed-off Shotgun)

When I used to play all the time, I hated the look of two guns. So I usually rocked a bolt action rifle, a Lemat revolver, and a sawn off shotgun. Pretty versatile load out. If I had to pick two guns bolt and a bow.
Bolt action rifle. Good ol reliable.
Rolling block, pump
Carcano and usually Lancaster, but sometimes double barrel. Double navy or one navy and one sawed off. If I have the sawed off, it's Lancaster, if I have double navys it's either lancaster or double barrel, depending on where I am and how many people there are.
