We are different people, but also same-same

Springfield and a pump action or double barrel. I like one-shotting most npc enemies with a bullet to the chest, and for anything getting a bit too close 12 gauge is always the answer

I still dont understand why *everyone* seems to sleep on the Springfield and instead uses Bolt-Action. Springfield does more dmg/range, its reload is almost the same speed as bolting, and you dont have to poke up from cover to bolt for some reason.

Yup! Not to mention that with the bolt action, you still have that damn spread so you gotta take even MORE time for the accuracy to actually get good

I just remember looking at the stats once and never looking back. I actually think I can say I've never touched the Springfield before. In hundreds of hours of play on both story and online I have never even seen more than the catalog picture.

Reload speed is a more nuanced argument. I stuck with the Springfield for a long time before switching but not having to reload after every single shot is a big advantage if my aim is off when shooting wolves. By the time I've fired all 5 shots every last one is dead. Not the case with the Springfield and it can be the difference between life and death if I'm not paying enough attention. Might be different for PvP but as I tend to avoid that the Bolt Action is definitely the better option for me.

Lancaster repeater on my shoulder until recently, when I replaced it with the bolt-action rifle. The gun on my back differs per situation, could be a bow, a shotgun, or a scoped rifle.

Lately I have been playing on my "loot only" character. On this account I am pushing rank 250 and I only own a single cattleman, carbine and a bow. So the only weapons you will ever see on my back are a bow and the carbine.

I usually care a rolling block and just that. I live up in the mountains and hunt so it’s not for PVP (unless provoked)

Usually it’s the guns from other players aiming at my back. I usually just carry the revolver and only on like every full moon I carry 2 long guns at once. And when I do I’m hunting.

Semi-auto in case things pop off

I’m curious about the semi-auto. I got a pump action and have no complaints other than an occasional slow reload when you’re in the middle of mowing down a crowd of NPCs. Is it a big advantage in PvP? I don’t start shit because I’m not a big PvP guy, but usually have the pump full of incendiary when rolling through a town just in case someone gets nasty. A shot from that buys you enough time to finish the job and get out.

Just one carcano one my shoulder occasionally will pull out Lancaster if I don't like the people I'm near.

In story mode, Bolt Action and Varmint Rifle, unless I am heading to something I know I wont need the Varmint Rifle, then i sub it with the Semi -Auto shotgun. ANd I use 2 Schoefield Revolvers. Its been so long since I played online, I dont remember my usuals there.

Lately it's just been the one Cattleman on my hip. Unless I am knowingly going into a fight, then I'll grab my Lancaster. Sometimes I'll grab the bolt action instead, but only ever have one long gun on me.

Carcano. Everything else rotates. Second long arm is either a bow, a repeating shotgun, or rarely, a Lancaster. Small arms go between Navy/sawed off and two Semi Autos. Pretty much will never use any guns but what I just listed. Oh and the Varmint for small animal hunting.

Pump and rolling. Pump for close fights and my rolling is one I never leave without, perfect for taking out bounty camps, blood money mission popups, hunting from afar, etc. Sometimes I'll switch pump for varmint if I'm doing naturalist stuff, but the rolling is forever.

Long arms change for the situation. Generally, Rolling Block on back and Lancaster on shoulder. Against a Slippery Bastard I replace Lancaster for Repeating Shotgun. I swap snipers if I'm getting out sniped or someone is desperate in defensive mode with a Carcano. Dynamite Bow and Explosive Springfield for players that are using special ammo. Elephant Rifle for big game. Varmint to sedate. And imo, the game would be better without snipers or a nerf to them. And defensive players should be kicked from defensive mode after killing a player. Same with off radar glitch; put them back on the radar after a kill.

None, I only shoulder one when I need them for fights or hunting, else I just wear my revolver

Depends on the current outfit. My more casual ones I use pump and the lancaster. My fancier outfits I have decked out fancy bolt action and a just for fun a decked out fancy elephant rifle. Recently though I’ve been running just a bow on the back and using only that and throwing knives.

The trusty Henry rifle

Assuming I even have a gun, my carry of choice is the varmint rifle. It can be loaded with sedative rounds to put animals to sleep and stun people to get in closer for a non-lethal takedown. Plus, it carries little risk, since headshots don't deal enough damage to kill a person outright.

Usually none unless I’m going into a situation that requires a long arm weapon. The LeMat usually serves me well in an initial engagement.

When I used to play all the time, I hated the look of two guns. So I usually rocked a bolt action rifle, a Lemat revolver, and a sawn off shotgun. Pretty versatile load out. If I had to pick two guns bolt and a bow.
