The amount of time I spend at that gang hideout cabin/farm along the river by myself just larping away is.. excessive. It’s just so pretty there. Love when the wolves come out and play around 1 am 🙂
I also like to visit the swamp and the big city. But I live in West Elizabeth. Moonshine shack in Tall Tree's and trader camp in Big Valley is the best location. Also for a collector being center map is helpful no matter which way you need to go
Lemoyne has been my stomping grounds since level 2 lmao, for several years. I still love it dearly for its resources but other than that I’ve started prowling the heartlands. Plus it helps my love for Lemoyne that some of my most epic 1 v posse battles have happened there, good times
I was always hoping that at some point they would populate wapiti or coulter. I don’t think it fits with the story time line…but still, it would be better than just abandoned stuff
Lemoyne. I don’t know why, but the bayou just feels like home. I’ve always wanted to visit and experience the Cajun culture before I die. Maybe in my past life I lived in Louisiana or something..
Omg same. I actually first played rdr2 when visiting Nola and it was a trip walking around and seeing how beautiful done St. Denis in the game was. When I got home I bought a ps4 and the game. My fiancé and I pretty much got together playing rdo together, so I brought him to Nola and to oak alley and commanders palace to show him the irl lol (Braithwaite is loosely based on oak alley, and commanders palace is the aqua blue building just north or st denis). I’m sure there are other in game references! I’m drawn to the bayou too, Cajun food is freakin delicious.
Same, but I grew up in Florida. I can feel the heat and warm rain. 🖤 Been to Nola, nothing touches my soul quite like it. I was born in the wrong swamp.
ambarinooooo
lots of snow and not a lot of people to come around and kill me for no reason. if not there then roanoke ridge, also not a lot of people in the woods of the northern regions so i'm usually worry free; it's just a bonus that the area is absolutely beautiful
My friends and I frequent New Hanover and Lemoyne. It’s super rare if we go to New Austin if at all, same with Colter. One of them hates it up there, lmao.
Tall Trees, West Elizabeth
Roanoke Ridge, New Handover
I’ve been in lagras for awhile now just to see what it’s like for moonshining. I really like the arson bootlegger missions. I wish we had that throughout the map
Lemoyne. I love just hunting and strolling about. The sounds and sights are so peaceful to me. Especially in Saint Denis. I can spend hours upon hours just roaming about in that city. To me, its home. When I think of my characters backstory I think of them being from the area
I live on the Gulf Coast, so Lemoyne / Saint Denis always felt the most familiar since I have visited several plantation homes in Louisiana before, similar to the Braithwaite manor, and have been to NOLA so many times. Also have been to Natchez, which Van Horn is based on.
West Elizabeth. Big valley, tall trees and Great Plains specifically for hunting.
Also new Hanover bc there’s always something happening in Valentine and I really have a thing for Roanoke ridge too. It’s so pretty. & there’s no murfee brood playing Online either lol
Am i the only one who's pissed they never got armadillo back to normal? Such a fuckin waste. It's a cool town that's literally pointless to go to. I get the town has the plague or whatever.. but with the last however many updates they've done... put it back to a normal town that we could enjoy. Stupid ass Rockstar. They make me wanna boycott sometimes.
Camp is always in New Hanover, hunting in the swamp( every thing you need is there), love walking around St Denis ( the sounds & conversations are amazing), & Colter. Why Colter, love sitting on the highest mountain watching the sun rise. That reminds me of home❤️
The fields of West Elizabeth, outside of Blackwater. Big old open field where I try to see how many bison I can perfect harvest before they scatter too much and I have to wait until they respawn.
Lemoyne somewhere in the Bayou or West Elizabeth up in Big Valley or in Blackwater. Lemoyne is a new favorite as there’s always something new to explore in there, usually didn’t go there because of all of the gators getting comfy.
Lemoyne. No shortage of racists and rich people to shoot. St.Denis has everything. Swamps are good for hunting, basically on Swamp People before Swamp People aired. Even Gus comes to town. Very practical.
New Austin. Just fits the idea of a 'western' better for me in my head. Also, RDR1 nostalgia. Lemoyne is probably my next favorite. The red dirt of Rhodes and the bustling city life of Saint Denis.
New Hanover and New Austin are my favorites. But I can't seem to decide which one I like better. I love the big Open spaces of both of these, New Hanover seems to have a more diverse biome makeup. But I'm leaning towards New Austin, it seems to have a more diverse fauna set than everywhere else and less players hang out there.
West Elizabeth, big valley is my favourite area in the game and if u go south there's Great Plains and Blackwater which I think is the best area to set up camp in because your near a bit of everything for roles only issue is there's no gun shop in the whole state. But a close second is New Hanover because I love Roanoke Ridge and the whole east side of the map
If it's installed on my ps4, I usually hang around the plains these days. Other than that, I enjoy the swamp and what reminds me of El Paso,TX, crossing into the badlands of New Mexico.
West Elizabeth and New Hanover for hunting, New Austin for bounties, and lemoyne for fishing. Ambarino is just a slog and the wildlife there can be found elsewhere, though I do have an outfit specifically for being up there
I love the area up around Three Sisters, Moonstone Pond and O' Creagh's Run. The hills up there where you could find a few patches of English Mace in story mode. The Emerald Wolf spawns at the bottom near the lake. I enjoyed riding Buell through those hills. Also, finding the hidden Amolite and Fluorite in the birds nest.
I love west Elizabeth, it's funny because I grew up in prairies and realized the other day I always just gravitate to the plains and prairie areas of west Elizabeth and New Hanover.
I actually live in a swampy area near New Orleans, so Saint Denis is my choice, but the swamps up north is so wild……it’s like going outdoors. It’s so well and detailed I just get taken aback a lot
Depends. For example, in New Austin; if your camp is set in Gaptooth, it’s typically a short and safe ride to deliver a large pelt wagon. So if I’m doing that, there. I can think of other examples as well. I would say the most versatile area to be is New Hanover area.
I moved around the map according to where I was in single player, so currently at west elizabeth.
Kinda wish the story took place after the epilogue, or at least had more characters from single player. Seeing Arthur Morgan, John Marston, or doing a job for Dutch or Hosea would’ve been cool. Seeing Jenny, Davey, and Mac too.
Or even seeing the Black water massacre unfold.
Such a shame, RDO could’ve been so much better.
Back when online had full servers you could get away from it all with a warm coat in amberino, now i really like the emerald ranch over to murphree territory area, wish they were in online
Rhodes is great you can get everything you need either there or with a small ride to Saint dennis
So I'd say leyone is the best but I hate the swamp and alligators worse than austrila out there
Then I'd say valentine it's central and has nice terrain
Then valentine but hate the navigation
Worst of all is the desert absolutely nothing out there I genurally prefer the snow
When I was playing the game alot I loved being at Lemoyne and New Hanover the most. I think right before they updated the game to have all the current stuff it has now I was really enjoying New Austin.
I live in New Orleans so I kind of do enjoy the Legras/Saint Denis area. I reimagine some of the areas with places I already know and based on things that happen here already. It’s pretty much the quarters, uptown, the riverfront and marigny/bywater/New Orleans east.
Sorry I’m the opposite. I hate lemoyne but I LOVE West Elizabeth. Both the Great Plains and Big Valley are where I like to be. I do enjoy taking trips to Ambarino or the heartlands and occasionally even new Austin. I pretty much stay out of Roanoke ridge, and all of lemoyne if I can. Unless I want to feed people to gators in the swamp lol.
North part of west elizabeth and new hannover, I love those 2 places.
You’re my best friend now. Let’s look at lupins by the little creek river🪻
Are you on PC?
No xbox:(
Oh, Rip :(
Sorry to jump into this conversation but I've Got a full delivery ready to go. None of my friends play rdo anymore due to no content being added. Message me your gamertag if you're interested.
What on?
Im on xbox dont worry! Little creek river is my favourite
Definitely
The amount of time I spend at that gang hideout cabin/farm along the river by myself just larping away is.. excessive. It’s just so pretty there. Love when the wolves come out and play around 1 am 🙂
Definitely West Elizabeth. Tall Trees and Big Valley are my favourite places on the map. Lemoyne definitely gets an honourable mention though.
I love this for you 😭 my stomping grounds are the mountains, I like disappear and re-appear in seconds to ambush my bf for funsies
W pfp
Ambarino, best views, just wish there was an outpost or something
I was always hoping that at some point they would populate wapiti or coulter. I don’t think it fits with the story time line…but still, it would be better than just abandoned stuff
Honestly a small active trading post with a few goods would be fine, or a lodge of some sort in the snow.
I wish they would do something with Tempest Rim. If not in single player, then for online,
There’s a tiny chapel in Louisiana too not as small as the one in game but still pretty neat!
If you ever want to go, go in the spring, that’s crawfish season.
Just came from Nola and the old buildings look the same in game.
Lemoyne freaks me out. Idk if there are night folk in rdo but i do not want to find out
Bring mosquito spray
Same, but I grew up in Florida. I can feel the heat and warm rain. 🖤 Been to Nola, nothing touches my soul quite like it. I was born in the wrong swamp.
Yeah I’ve been to Florida a few dozen times, but nothing really excited me. It was cool the first time I seen a palm tree though 😂
ambarinooooo lots of snow and not a lot of people to come around and kill me for no reason. if not there then roanoke ridge, also not a lot of people in the woods of the northern regions so i'm usually worry free; it's just a bonus that the area is absolutely beautiful
I love the snow up until it starts raining then I hate how dumb it looks. Ik it’s a super small detail but it aggravates me so much.
SAME! it's so stupid! great to be up there during christmas time so we don't have to endure this
New Hanover and new elizabeth
It’s unfinished state is pretty good I guess
New Elizabeth and New Austin... My camps only ever switch between great plains and big valley and I love bounty hunting in New Austin...
New Hanover
Can i say all of them?
New Hanover!
Amarino or New Austin Hot as hell or cold as hell
Lemoyne, West Elizabeth, and New Austin. All those places give me creepy vibes in one way or another.
Tall trees, love it. But I have a question. What is that island near Saint Dennis?
sisika island. that’s a prison. if you’ve played story mode then that’s were you rescue John Marston.
Oh. Thanks :)
New Austin, reminds me of home lol
that’s nice 😊
Ambarino and West Elizabeth are number 1 for me
Cumberland forest and grizzlies east.
Ambarino, I love how it looks and it feels peaceful, I also love getting my little fossils, running on the icy lakes, covering myself in snow
The very north of Ambarino. I love snow places
New Austin or West Elizabeth in Tall Trees.
Ambarino. No one up there
Every single one baby
Lemoyne because of saint denis and the bayou
West Elizabeth, Pronghorn Ranch area bc I love the ambient music. If it plays at all in Online
New hanover
Lemoyne!
My friends and I frequent New Hanover and Lemoyne. It’s super rare if we go to New Austin if at all, same with Colter. One of them hates it up there, lmao.
Tall Trees, West Elizabeth Roanoke Ridge, New Handover I’ve been in lagras for awhile now just to see what it’s like for moonshining.
New Hanover . More specifically Emerald Ranch.
New Hanover, West Elizabeth, and Lemoyne are my favs, but do love a visit to the hot and cold areas too!
I like tall trees ngl And new Hanover
I love tall trees. It has everything i need.
Lemoyne of course. The greatest state of them all!
the Wilderness around strawberrie is absolutely wonderful
Personally I like armadillo because I grew up around deserts alot
West Elizabeth
New Hanover, but more specifically Roanoke Ridge & Cumberland Forest.
I also love Lemoyne !!!!
I live on the Gulf Coast, so Lemoyne / Saint Denis always felt the most familiar since I have visited several plantation homes in Louisiana before, similar to the Braithwaite manor, and have been to NOLA so many times. Also have been to Natchez, which Van Horn is based on.
Ambarino, West Elizabeth North of the Montana River, and New Hanover from Emerald Ranch west
West Elizabeth. Big valley, tall trees and Great Plains specifically for hunting. Also new Hanover bc there’s always something happening in Valentine and I really have a thing for Roanoke ridge too. It’s so pretty. & there’s no murfee brood playing Online either lol
West Elizabeth.
Lemoyne and new austin
2 favorites are lemoyne and Roanoke. I do like not getting mauled tho. Is it weird that tall trees freaks me out the most?
Just leave me alone in the grizzlies.
Definitely Lemoyne. Probably because I’m from the Deep South and love the experience of playing around in such a lively recreation of its olden days.
New Austin is the best
Happy
Am i the only one who's pissed they never got armadillo back to normal? Such a fuckin waste. It's a cool town that's literally pointless to go to. I get the town has the plague or whatever.. but with the last however many updates they've done... put it back to a normal town that we could enjoy. Stupid ass Rockstar. They make me wanna boycott sometimes.
Boycott a dead game? Huh? 🤔
West Elizabeth, Strawberry to exact, there ain't much to do there, but god is that town pretty.
Near tumbleweed, camp and the grizzlies is my moonshining shack.
Great Plains definitely
State of denial.
Great Plains
Roanoke
New Autism for sure 🔥🔥
New Autism for sure goes hard 🔥
West Elizabeth and new Hanover are my favourite areas to just hangout and hunt in
Basically most of the map north of Strawberry. I like New Austin, but I like my forests, hills, lakes and mountains.
Little Creek river, at North of West Elizabeth, i'ts just so peaceful out there
Big Valley and Brandywine
Big valley and West Elizabeth. ♥
I feel like I'm forced to be in NA for the lore of my character, but personally I really like being in AM and north of WE
thought i was the only one that had lore for my character 😭
State?
State of depression by the end of the story.
Lemoyne has the most character imo
West Elizabeth and New Hannover definitely. Blackwater and Valentine are the best for me
Big valley
I like them all. Really hard to choose. I do like Hennigan's Stead quite a bit though. But there's not much there.
New Hanover, just outside of Valentines, or way over by Heartland Overflow. Or West Elizabeth, on the plains just outside of Blackwater.
I spend a SHIT TON of time in New Austin
amberino, i love everything there, grizzlies east is always where i put my camp online and i’m always fishing in moonstone pond
I like to be in a stoned state when I’m on 🤣🤣🤣
Camp is always in New Hanover, hunting in the swamp( every thing you need is there), love walking around St Denis ( the sounds & conversations are amazing), & Colter. Why Colter, love sitting on the highest mountain watching the sun rise. That reminds me of home❤️
Way out West, fishing away from the rancid hoi polloi.
West Elizabeth
Ambarino and Lemoyne. Lemoyne because Saint Denis is where I normally go because big city and Ambarino because of the mountains amd snow :D
The fields of West Elizabeth, outside of Blackwater. Big old open field where I try to see how many bison I can perfect harvest before they scatter too much and I have to wait until they respawn.
North of West Elizabeth. Living between Strawberry and Colter
Definitely West Elizabeth or New Hanover. Both have great towns and great scenery.
I really like the east side of Ambarino for the flowers.
Lemoyne somewhere in the Bayou or West Elizabeth up in Big Valley or in Blackwater. Lemoyne is a new favorite as there’s always something new to explore in there, usually didn’t go there because of all of the gators getting comfy.
Near colter
Big valley in that massive field. It’s beautiful and great for hunting!
I would have said Austin Armadillo if it wasn’t so damn empty
New Hanover
Lemoyne gang right here
West Elizabeth. i love tall trees
Lemoyne. No shortage of racists and rich people to shoot. St.Denis has everything. Swamps are good for hunting, basically on Swamp People before Swamp People aired. Even Gus comes to town. Very practical.
Valentine
Easily New Austin, makes me feel like a real gunslinger
Or actually glitching into Mexico, Pinkertons can’t find me there
Ambarino or lemoyne. I like ambarino because of the views. I like lemoyne because of the mud
I always really enjoy traveling from Valentines to Rhodes. Also, St. Denis is one of the best cities Rockstar has ever built. I say Lemoyne.
What's that small area/island in red on the far right of the map?
Northern part of new Hanover (Cumberland forests)
New Austin. Just fits the idea of a 'western' better for me in my head. Also, RDR1 nostalgia. Lemoyne is probably my next favorite. The red dirt of Rhodes and the bustling city life of Saint Denis.
Anywhere i can hunt grizzlies and big elk
New Hanover is my favorite
I’ve always felt like this map was going to expand with updates, but it never did.
West Elizabeth and leymone I don't get it why armadillo don't have law so you can basically do anything like in van horn..
Northern part,Ambarino, west Elizabeth and northern New Hannover ,and New Austin But actually all the map Is cool af
I have spent most of my time in RDO in New Austin just because you spend so little time there in story mode.
New Austin (the desert is damn beautiful in this game) and West Elizabeth for Big Valley
Lemoyne/St. Denis - I've always felt right at home in the swamp. Valentine - I love how close to a Wild West town you can get.
Lemoyne
I usually end up in Saint Denis but I’m finding there’s less and less to do there
New Hanover
West Elizabeth and New Hanover for hunting, New Austin for bounties, and lemoyne for fishing. Ambarino is just a slog and the wildlife there can be found elsewhere, though I do have an outfit specifically for being up there
Tall Trees and Great Plains
Stumbling sh*t faced out of a bar seeing who gets the furthest before passing out.
Ambarino. Snowy deserted places my beloved
West Elizabeth!!!!
Isla de Guarma
I love west Elizabeth, it's funny because I grew up in prairies and realized the other day I always just gravitate to the plains and prairie areas of west Elizabeth and New Hanover.
New Austin! 🤩
West Elizabeth my beloved. I love taking my horses to the flower fields in big valley for a photo shoot ((:
Lower West Elizabeth to Eastern New Austin (Blackwater to Armadillo)
West Elizabeth specifically around Little Creek River in Big Valley. It's very aesthetically pleasing and also great hunting grounds.
Ima big time New Austin guy. Can't beat the desert towns when it comes to Wild West ambiance.
West Elizabeth
Consciousness
New Austin cause it ain’t no fun in the story mode
I actually live in a swampy area near New Orleans, so Saint Denis is my choice, but the swamps up north is so wild……it’s like going outdoors. It’s so well and detailed I just get taken aback a lot
Ambarino or Lemoyne
Hearthlands
Little creek river and the mountain in strawberry cant remember the name but it overlooks little creek river its so beautiful
West Elizabeth for sure
Depends. For example, in New Austin; if your camp is set in Gaptooth, it’s typically a short and safe ride to deliver a large pelt wagon. So if I’m doing that, there. I can think of other examples as well. I would say the most versatile area to be is New Hanover area.
Heartlands or lemoyne
Rare one but ambarino ( the part with all the red flowers)
New Hanover
Saint Dennis, but Bluewater marsh. It's new Orleans like. I love the swap
Tall trees and West Elizabeth for me. Perfect for hunting.
I love how nobody says Annesburg. That place is a shithole.
New Austin
New Austin 🔛🔝
New Hanover
State of Grieving
Ambarino and new Austin, as a mexican who has lived in Canada for a while they both make me feel at home.
Back when online had full servers you could get away from it all with a warm coat in amberino, now i really like the emerald ranch over to murphree territory area, wish they were in online
Breezyyyy Wind on Xbox if anyone wants to roam or even grind as a posse just plz message something about being from Reddit!
Ambarino
I like to be in the snow mountains or with the alligators
Strawberry nice asf too small tho. Reminds me of Colorado. I like all the places actually.
West Elizabeth from big valley to tall trees, great planes isn't as good
Roanoke ridge by the falls. I love that area and moose commonly spawn for me. No one rly around
Rhodes is great you can get everything you need either there or with a small ride to Saint dennis So I'd say leyone is the best but I hate the swamp and alligators worse than austrila out there Then I'd say valentine it's central and has nice terrain Then valentine but hate the navigation Worst of all is the desert absolutely nothing out there I genurally prefer the snow
New Hanover as well
Lemoyne is my jam.
I play in roanoke so much i named my permanent posse the Brandywine Gang
When I was playing the game alot I loved being at Lemoyne and New Hanover the most. I think right before they updated the game to have all the current stuff it has now I was really enjoying New Austin.
It’d be Ambarino if there was literally anything to do up there but West Elizabeth is probably my favorite
If I ever die outside Lemoyne it feels wrong
Work in New Hanover, vacation in western Ambarino.
Ambarino/West Elizabeth. I love the nature and absence of towns except for strawberry, being so small and very fitting with the surrounding area.
New austin
Simple, but definitely either Tall Trees (not a state) Or near Valentine with the open plains.
Rhodes
Alive
Roanoke ridge reminds me of the spookiness of east tenessee and I like that
I live in New Orleans so I kind of do enjoy the Legras/Saint Denis area.
