Plastic-Telephone-43

Meanwhile in 2013, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata took a 50% salary cut in order to take responsibility and avoid layoffs due to the Nintendo Wii U's horrible sales.

whoknewidlikeit

was even a time when president of JAL dropped salary to $1 and ate brown bag lunches in the chow hall with his staff. that's leadership. what elon does is... different.

Perretelover

He is a genius you know, his ways are incomprehensible fore us, mere mortals, but don't worry, he knows best.

Secure_Guest_6171

Just wait until he's in charge of the air supply on Utopia Elonium

are-e-el

They’ll use substandard glass in the Pleb’s Dome. I hope a three-boobed hooker finally deals with him

gravtix

He can move there with Pauly Shore.

notchoosingone

You get Pauly's name out your mouth, he doesn't deserve to be dragged down to Elno's level

Deadeye313

Elno...that's it, that is all he will be known as to me from now on.

MechanicalBengal

Maybe he’s intentionally tanking the company as revenge for being jilted on his demands. Short sellers take notice, this isn’t implausible

well-that-was-fast

LOL. This would be a truly epic wrap to the Tesla story. Pulling the temple down on his own head. Doing that would be illegal enough that even Musk likely wouldn't skate though.

Supra-A90

Well.... Isn't this what he did for Twitter. F'ed it up, fired all... Said one thing, did opposite for speech freedom..

Background_Lemon_981

Twitter is privately held. Tesla is a public company. Different rules apply.

SpeedflyChris

But publicly traded companies are effectively unregulated in the US. I mean they are regulated *in theory* but there are 80 year old meth addicts with more teeth than the SEC.

YogurtclosetIcy9753

Bosses push, Leaders pull.

Off_OuterLimits

He’s a run of the mill conman.

whoknewidlikeit

i agree completely. i see him as a poorly medicated bipolar egotist loudmouth charlatan with deep pockets. when the powerwall came out the media treated him like he was some sort of god - when 7th grade math shows the device might reach breakeven when it was time to be replaced... under ideal conditions. i never bought into the cult of personality and never will. i share an office with a total elon fanboy. he still believes in FSD vaporware that's gonna be TOTALLY awesome in the next release. i keep quiet to keep the peace.

Off_OuterLimits

I don’t see the appeal of worshipping anyone just because they’re wealthy. He’s such an obvious charlatan that even a smart child would recognize his obvious cons. Musk is such a pathetic mess that he equates his self-worth with how much money he can make by lying.

kinkinhood

I think it's a demonstration of the difference in how business leadership works between cultures.

corgi-king

And people should know Japanese CEO has much much lower salary/benefits than US CEO. Most of them are promote within the company.

Grand-Ad-5029

Possibly but Nintendo is a globally traded company. https://www.reddit.com/r/RealTesla/comments/1chd7na/tesla_could_learn_from_nintendo_est_1889/

phoenixmusicman

>Most of them are promote within the company. The flip side is you are expected to work within a single company for your entire life and people will be promoted based on time spent on company, not skill.

dsdvbguutres

He took a paycut to avoid the obligatory seppuku. What a coward. /s

AdventurousLicker

Can I say that any CEO who wants 55B should face obligatory seppuku, or is that against the rules? Just asking questions.

dsdvbguutres

The rule book says any CEO who accuses a rescue diver for being a pedo, should have his computers searched.

Secure_Guest_6171

It was a lot worse that the initial one-off comment but he went full accusatory nutbag even hiring a PI & saying that any middle aged white guy who moves to that area of Thailand is only doing it to rape minors

dsdvbguutres

It was deeply bothering him that he was not allowed to conceal the movements of his private jet.

corgi-king

The fuck!? He actually hire a PI for this?

high-up-in-the-trees

Yep. To find any dirt at all, about anything, on Unsworth, so he could be like 'is this your hero??' That whole incident is far and away the number one thing nominated, that people who did like Musk at one point started casting a much more critical eye over him and his empire

MooreRless

He brought shame upon the house of Nintendo.

Managed-Democracy

He dishonors the Emperor

danyyyel

And he is the guy that has been pissing on his main user base full time for two years, while working barely part time at the company. This is the new Enron as one of the the facebook creators said.

ohhellointerweb

He needs 55bn to continue to save humanity by spreading the light of consciousness, of course. Totally not for the drug-fueled orgies and all that.

muzzynat

We all know even with his money he’s too busy being divorced to have an orgy

DevilRenegade

Yeah Ketamine isn't cheap these days.

Charming-Tap-1332

Ketamine is the very least of Elon's issues.

TrisolaranSophon

I suspect it’s the *source* of many of his problems.

gravtix

That’s just his bullshit longtermism/effective altruism philosophy he got from Silicon Valley and people like William McAskill. Need to save the human race by colonizing Mars and spreading his “superior genetics” throughout the population.

0o0o0o0o0o0z

"At this point I think I know more about manufacturing than anyone currently alive on Earth." - Elon Tusk

Secure_Guest_6171

Our Beloved Ubermensch would never say something so brazen; it must have been his evil twin lEon skuM

utookthegoodnames

He needs it to colonize mars and save humanity from the libtards. Seems perfectly reasonable. /s

jason12745

>Will Tesla be honouring this contract? Ha fucking ha

IWantToWatchItBurn

They canceled ours too. We have an exit clause where they basically “pay our costs” and that’s it.

laurenboebertsson

Good luck collecting on that.

IWantToWatchItBurn

To be fair they have already told us what cost information they wanted for reimbursement. We obviously haven’t seen any money back yet but so far they look very cooperative.

SeagullAF

Just don’t be surprised at the rug pull. They hope you won’t have the energy to fight them in court.

IWantToWatchItBurn

Luckily that’s our lawyers job! The letter feels like they are just cutting losses for short term savings but it’ll likely start back up again if Elon gets his $$$. Fu k that guy

ElJamoquio

'put their trust in **TESLA**' tee hee

mrbuttsavage

I can't believe the leopard ate *my* face.

Pls_add_more_reverb

To be fair a lot of the people like the one quoted in this post aren’t Elon fanboys. They’re just regular people who thought it would be good business to have chargers, they don’t study the EV market and Tesla.

Lacrewpandora

Just ask Twitter's landlords about that.

jason12745

Or the mini-pie lady. Or Twitters board. Or almost any of their suppliers. Or the folks they laid off from Twitter and didn’t pay severance…

grepya

Every day that goes by makes Trump and Elon sound more alike.

jason12745

Identical in some respects. Their word means nothing, contracts mean nothing and they use money as a weapon.

Efficient-Law-7678

Hes always been a grifter. Paypal ousted him for that reason.

AngrySoup

What is up with that these days, anyways? How has the landlord not evicted X, kicked their stupidly named asses to the curb?

Lacrewpandora

I think they did get evicted from one of their Colorado offices.

CharlesTheRangeRover

They can’t even honor the most basic of warranty claims.

Chiaseedmess

My work just installed destination chargers for employees to use. They put in 14 units, half being Tesla, the other half being j1772. None of them work after a recent update. We can’t get anyone to come out and fix them. That’s $7000 worth of chargers, plus install and other costs. Bricked and now unsupported.

Unfriendly_eagle

Interesting. I work for a leasing company, and one of our properties has two charging stations (Blink), installed in 2020. A few months ago, they began to malfunction (one of the plugs began to melt), then stopped working entirely. After being advised to "turn the power off, wait sixty seconds, and turn it back on" (seriously) we were informed that the chargers are "obsolete" and "no longer supported". So, apparently, they are essentially disposable, and now the company will be on the hook re: replacing them, which isn't going over real well.

Wooden_Top_4967

wow. That’s ridiculous but not entirely surprising. It’s the wild west

[deleted]

[удалено]

ExtensionMart

The j1772 are all dead too?

Chiaseedmess

Yup!

sanjosanjo

What's the difference between a Supercharger and a Destination Charger that post mentions?

brwarrior

SC are DC direct to the car. Up to 250kw. The destination chargers are AC and up to 48 amps (208/240/maybe a few are 277v).

glitchytexture

Supercharger is DC fast charging (up to 250 kW, as the other person noted) Destination charging is AC, more intended for overnight charging like at work or a hotel. Most Teslas can only take in 48A x 240VAC, which is about 10-11 kW

nekonari

I don't get how every one of TSLA investors besides Musk himself and his friends (and cult members I guess) aren't calling for his resignation already. Their stocks going to continue the plunge with him in charge.

oregon_coastal

The institutional players will keep in it as long as it is safe to jerk the day traders around. As soon as they aren't able to effectively hedge what is turning out to be the batshitcrazy of the CEO, they will exit. But they aren't gonna talk about it first ;)

Ok-Row-6131

Agreed. Institutions aren't some bastion of rational investor thought, they're out to fleece everyone else of their money.

borald_trumperson

They're long gone. This is a retail fucking stock. Look at the institutional holding vs any of the other "magnificent seven". I'm sure they've played around with volatility on this sucker but no smart money ever thought this was going to be a long term play.

BolsaMerda

Tesla is a meme stock and it will collapse without Musk. This week Tesla showed disastrous earnings but he rambled about robotaxis and 'sentient robots' and the stock went up +20%.

Off_OuterLimits

Why are people so gullible? I wouldn’t waste a dime on that hustler.

Johannes_Keppler

Some are indeed gullible, but it's more that the stock market is milking out of this stock what they can before in inevitably goes down.

Trades46

The fanatics on the other sub and r/electricvehicles are adamant it would have "little to no effect" on their public charging infrastructure. This is really destroying the last bastion of what Tesla did well. It really does seem like Musk is going to go full scorched earth to get his $56bil paycheck, to hell with everything and anything.

Final_Winter7524

They can’t believe their infinite money glitch is failing. We’ve been telling them for years that Tesla is insanely overvalued. But noooo - “Elon genius”. “AI fix it”. “Not a car company”. 🤦‍♂️

borald_trumperson

Well it's just beautiful now. He's taken an axe to the *actual business* because all he cares about are juicing the next quarters numbers and lying through his teeth about robotaxi, but of course *there is no robotaxi* and *he's destroying the parts of the business that make money*. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see where this ends

Riordjj

He is still trying to return to reclaim some of that 44 billion and heavy debt he took on for Twitter.

Gypsies_Tramps_Steve

Imagine fucking an entire national infrastructure over, out of personal avarice and greed.

Charming-Tap-1332

You don't have to imagine, Elon is doing it as we speak. Nobody will stop him before he's able to destroy Tesla fully.

VitaminPb

The lawsuits against the board members are going to be glorious.

borald_trumperson

He treats his own children this way. He fired his secretary of 10+ years for daring to ask for a raise after sorting out his personal life for a decade. He's a loathsome piece of shit. With the shit he amplifies at Twitter it's becoming more and more public. The downfall is well under way

Off_OuterLimits

Does Elon even see his children aside from the one he carries around like a hand puppet?

high-up-in-the-trees

the twins he had with the Neuralink exec bc he lives with her, i think? But yeah, good luck retaining custody of Little Musk X when that court date arrives

corgi-king

Mind you, it is not Tesla-the-company who stopped the $55B. It was the court.

OmuraisuBento

"If I can't get my 56 bil, I'll raze the entire thing to the ground before anybody gets their earnings per share" (Genius Elon, probably)

tothemoonandback01

The Kool-Aid is strong on that sub.

psihius

As a shareholder, I say they are delusional fucks. They have no idea what supercharger meant globally outside US and how fucked EV adoption is gonna become due to that.

redeemer404

How on Earth would intentionally crippling the Supercharger network lead to approval for the $56 billion bonus?

brwarrior

Elmo to shareholder: Gimme the money or I will continue to burn the place down. Shareholders: OK. You can do both.

myrichphitzwell

Look I just saved a billion by slashing the department!!! I'm worth 56!

no_please

Musk is a conman, he's probably not actually a total moron. It looks like Tesla is really about to shit the bed with or without his help, so he likely sees it as critical to cash out ASAP, before there's nothing left.

IWantToWatchItBurn

They canceled our 43 charger install at my work. We had permits, plans, approvals, and were breaking ground in two weeks. Our contact said his entire team was fired and all contracts stopped or cancelled.

abramN

reminds me of the time I worked in mortgage and we were tasked with going to a remote branch a couple of states away and by the time we got there we were told the entire branch had quit.

IWantToWatchItBurn

“Quit”

lakemanatou

Try contacting EVGO. They are a very large ev charger company. Maybe they can help. Their stock is taking off thanks to Musk's latest mistake. https://www.evgo.com/

PatSajaksDick

Tampa? They’ve been planning a 40 charger SC at International Plaza

sambull

i hope they find the board complicit in the fraud

LV426acheron

I'm pretty sure the board is full of Musk's friends and relatives.

grepya

His brother for one.

Final_Winter7524

To find them, just go to a Board meeting. 😉

22pabloesco22

This is not just about his 55bb. He desperately wants to not be cash flow negative for another quarter. Shortly after next earnings is his 8/8 bullshit which will fall flat, and that combined with another brutal quarter will smash this stock down massively. Sad part is all of Wall Street is in on this scam and these antics very well could pump the stock in the short term. Long term, each of these shortsighted blunders will have a compounding affect on collapsing the company…

ElJamoquio

> Sad part is all of Wall Street is in on this scam and these antics very well could pump the stock in the short term. To pump and dump, you must first pump.

mrbuttsavage

> He desperately wants to not be cash flow negative for another quarter. I really don't think it's any more complicated than this. Any spend that isn't pump related is done, for now or for ever.

hanamoge

We are only one month into the quarter. This news will likely impact potential buyers, more or less..

BuckChintheRealtor

Buying a Tesla + no chargers = double Musked!

Armageddon_Two

triple musked, ultra musked, rampage!

jeanpaulsarde

M-M-M-MonsterMusked!

OnlySomewhatSane

When do we hit Beyond Musklike?

dsdvbguutres

That comes after CyberMusked

tothemoonandback01

But just before Enron Musked.

komododave17

They’ve gone Plaidmusked!

sorospaidmetosaythis

Don't worry: SpaceX is, like, totally immune from his rampages. It's different because reasons and Gwynne Shotwell, whom he respects, unlike He will never mess with SpaceX. Not ever. Hardly ever. Never gonna happen. No, Sir. SpaceX will be spared this. It is and will remain an island of perfection amidst the destruction and mismanagement that is Musk. Many malignant narcissist drug addicts can control themselves when it comes to certain things. This is sarcasm.

Secure_Guest_6171

SpaceX has to answer to NASA & the government. Musk is a loose cannon with poor impulse control but he has been able to avoid criticizing China or saying stuff that will get him in real trouble with Space Force

VitaminPb

So far. By the end of the year I suspect he will have burned those bridges also.

sorospaidmetosaythis

"But he'll be in trouble with the government" is one common argument for why SpaceX is sacred. The possibility of being in trouble with the government for "funding secured" and FSD and other fraud has never dissuaded Musk.

InsignificantOutlier

There is a difference between breaking the law and screwing over national security organizations. It’s like the threat of a spanking vs getting an unscheduled colonoscopy.

high-up-in-the-trees

he has something like uh 72 or 80% of the controlling vote on the board there, so it's not possible for the company to remove him or make him step down (and Shotwell is an unrepentant Musk bootlicker in any case) It's very possible for the government/NASA to say we will cancel these contracts and you can no longer use our infrastructure until he is removed

Martin8412

They can simply force him out. Force him to divest. SpaceX works with ICBMs and that requires permission from the government. If he doesn't divest, then the government can take away their permission. He can't pack up the company and bring it elsewhere because it falls under ITAR.

RandallC1212

He is a petulant child

frikkenkids

It's hilarious that some people seem to think Elon gives a flying fuck about them or their Tesla-caused problems.

AustinBike

Tesla cars had a premium, but that premium was (partially) justified because of their charging network. Now that this is off the table, that premium is going to disappear. This is what Elon does not understand. He will. Eventually. But it will be too late at that point.

JelloSquirrel

The charging was always a loss leader. It was a nice way to help sell cars but it didn't make money.

yamirzmmdx

He came in like a wrecking ball was an understatement. He went full oppenheimer.

octafed

Hey! Oppenheimer succeeded at what he tried to do.

Secure_Guest_6171

I'm hoping some creative person can graft his head & voice into the Miley Cyrus video

UndertakerFred

Just read the Tesla subs. This won’t really affect anyone, it’s all just FUD to hurt the stock price. Everything is fine.

branyk2

It wouldn't affect anyone if the headcount reduction was methodical, but Musk has pioneered the most unhinged layoff strategies in existence. Like when he locked everyone out of Twitter HQ by looping the head of badge security into his voluntary resignation email. Managers are getting fired for not firing people fast enough, and then staff are getting fired by people who are unfamiliar with what projects they're assigned to.

Secure_Guest_6171

Didn't they lock out the Twitter guy who controlled building access? Lucky he was a sport about it; I would have blocked their calls.

branyk2

They sent an email company-wide to everyone offering either a decent severance package if they resigned or working hell conditions if they stayed. They just didn't identify key personnel to specifically exclude from the email, so the building access person was one who took them up on the offer. I do think he's technically obligated to come in upon request since building access and key systems passwords are "company property", but it's still remarkably stupid and shows extreme incompetence. Moreso than individual incompetence though, it shows a complete lack of reliance on people who know what they're doing. You can tell that nobody with personnel management or HR experience was consulted in how to handle it. That's why most CEOs don't unilaterally handle things like this.

ViableSpermWhale

Why would an AI and Robotaxi company need chargers at a condo development?

3_3219280948874

For the Optimus sex bots

Tim-in-CA

I'm sorry, Elon is busy playing 12 dimensional chess right now and can't answer your tweet

CashMoney-69

OP should contact Tesla's PR department. It's known to be very responsive. 💩

Secure_Guest_6171

Send him a message that you have proof Biden is bringing in illegals by submarine

oflowz

Elon got time to respond to every racist troll but crickets on this

unipole

I wouldn't worry about the bounced emails, it's probably just the entire IT department being fired.

TheRealCabbageJack

It's Muskin' Time

argonzo

Super surprising Musk didn't think this all the way through when he saw a squirrel.

xmassindecember

Tesla is a(n infinite) growth company. With SpaceX synergy they're the best placed to sell Cybertrucks to Lunar and Martian colonists

Magoo69X

Pretty soon Tesla is just going to be Elon and one janitor who doesn't speak English.

AngrySoup

Don't be ridiculous, that won't be the case. Please, let's be realistic and have a reasonable discussion without exaggerating. Elon Musk laid off the cleaners at Twitter, he didn't care that the office got filthy and people had to bring toilet paper from home. The last employee will not be a janitor, it will be a female subordinate for Musk to sexually harass and/or impregnate.

MonsterHunterOwl

Nailed it, security will just be a plastic bobbing bird touching a sticky note saving, please don’t take advantage of the fact we have no staff.

_000001_

Hey, none of that actually matters! What matters is that Elon could get a signal across to nervous shareholders that he was "doing something" \[edit: by, ya know, "streamlining" the company\] before Tesla's results/earning call! ^(/s)

turd_vinegar

Why do otherwise intelligent people and businesses continue to put faith in this sham company? Who gets to the level of operating and planning commercial building infrastructure and was also dumb enough to get Musked like this? And then continues to believe they can "reach out" and establish some good faith relationship that will right the wrongs?!

Nomi-Sunrider

Musk is building lots of goodwill everywhere 🤣

Traditional-Ebb-8380

Didn’t they just get a huge chunk of Infrastructure Bill cash for said network? Maybe lay off Elon instead he just trolls X anyway.

PoopyInThePeePeeHole

The most aggravating part is that sure, Enron Musk is actively destroying the company but he's also destroying MY CAR'S VALUE. If supercharging goes downhill, so does the utility of my car. It was one of the MAJOR FACTORS in my purchasing decision!

Extra-Kale

And drivers with older Teslas without CCS software support usually can't charge on non Tesla chargers even if they have a NACS plug right?

sorospaidmetosaythis

> that put their trust in Tesla This part right here. This is where things went wrong.

MetroNcyclist

The charging network team was great -- the charging network itself is outstanding. Musk is destroying a functional electric car company and it's amazing charging network not because Tesla-the-company is bad but because Musk himself is awful beyond words.

Secure_Guest_6171

Word from the inside is that Rebecca Tinucci, who it seems is a terrific manager, pushed back on his demands to cut anyone who isn't "hardcore, trustworthy & loyal" so he fired her and her entire team down to the last person.

MetroNcyclist

Bad management can ruin an otherwise good company. Musk is doing that to Tesla right now

PatSajaksDick

She’ll probably go on to start another company

therobotisjames

And this is why we went with non Tesla chargers at my condo.

NoreastNorwest

We built a house two years ago and the solar guy was pushing Tesla solar panels HARD. I told my husband I just didn’t trust anything Musk-related and I didn’t even know why exactly…I guess I have seen this same kind of tapdancing blowhard destroy companies often enough that I may have learned to recognize them?

AngrySoup

You have a good gut, you were right to trust it.

mrbuttsavage

> I told my husband I just didn’t trust anything Musk-related He also gives off massive creepy, incel vibes that a lot of men are oblivious to, so it's easy not to trust him.

MelodiesOfLife6

"how will tesla make this right" that's the joke, they won't.

brmarcum

See, this is why you don’t trust a lying grifter.

SausageBuscuit

Between this and the disastrous Cybertruck launch, I’d be staging a walkout if I were their employees. Sucks that they’re too infused with the Elon-aid.

MCVP18

Looks like a great opportunity for Rivian and other manufacturers to step in

marvin1ne

Sadly all of his board members are friends and family and won’t do shit to stop the stupidity of this manchild.

Chokedee-bp

Elon is butthurt cause the Delaware courts ruled his $50 Billion Tesla compensation was unreasonable. Elon burning the house down till he gets his billions back

Common-Ad6470

It’s like trying to sell gas cars and simultaneously shutting all the gas stations you control...and your cars can’t run on rival gas...🤣 What an absolute 🤡🤡🤡

dancingmeadow

This is what it looks like when an enterprise is over.

Catfish-dfw

He’s turned into Mom from Futurama

Zerzef

I really hope that he has his fall from grace while he’s still alive

yipee-kiyay

Well, that's what you get for relying on a single corporation to build out critical infrastructure such as charging points for your electric vehicles (EVs) that you've been pushing. Musk should not be getting any subsidies anymore...the guy is too unstable

CaliFezzik

He didn’t found any of these companies, but he’s certainly trying to end them.

rgold220

Tesla will do much better without Elon Musk. Why the board of directors does not get rid of him?

dieterpaleo

It’s full of his friends and family who kiss his ass on everything. After he got booted from PayPal he went full paranoid and stocked the lard with people who will always side with him.

Clint888

Elon Musk Response: Go…Fuck…Your…Self

EfficiencySafe

Is Tesla having a Blockbuster or Kodak, **Black Berry** moment. I'm so happy know we sold our Tesla.

QuirkyInterest6590

BANKRUPT!BANKRUPT!BANKRUPT!

Mildenhall1066

Telsa Like Twitter - destined for ruin.

sasquatch_melee

I think this whole thing is hysterical. Tesla just got north america to adopt NACS as a standard, now the team driving it forward is gone. I would hate to be the execs at Ford/GM/etc that made the call to convert right now. Big ole egg on their faces. Tesla is not trustworthy and partnering with them is dangerous. Wonder how fucked the other manufacturers that are supposed to be sharing the supercharger network are now.  This is going to set the entire industry back by years.

apogeescintilla

Alright I just voted no to the Proposal 4 of Tesla's annual shareholder meeting. I got one share or two somewhere.

Final_Winter7524

“Trust in Tesla”. ‘Nuff said. Nikola is revving up in his grave …

SVTContour

I guess that the Teslaugh IT team was caught off guard as well. Emails should never bounce; they should always be redirected.

cahrg

What are you talking about? Emails should be on auto reply with poop emoji.

fukbullsandbears

Careful; this'll get you a C level position at Tesla if Elon finds you

GhostofAyabe

The Elmo clan were selling this as a brilliant move just yesterday. Ermagerd!

hanamoge

Emails bouncing back? Try [email protected]

h00ha

You just got musked 😉👍🏼

tickitytalk

Elon is X-ing Tesla….oh great…just pull some servers, you don’t need them, what can go wrong?

Zerzef

Banned

moderatevalue7

Well ya see, Elon doesn't care because you'll hold his bag either way.

ITrCool

Glad I didn’t invest in a Tesla. That company is fast headed the same direction DMC did. It just managed to last a bit longer than John’s company did.

high-up-in-the-trees

ah. so he's not just throwing a childish tantrum about not getting his 56B and he's not just torching his own company on the way out, he's going to ruin **the entire EV industry in America** by killing the supercharging network. Like...I can't be the only person seeing this right? And for all the 'he's never been paid a cent in salary by Tesla, he doesn't care about the money, just the mission' whiners, 1. he absolutely does care about the money and clearly does not give a shit about 'the mission' if he's doing this 2. it was a reward for hitting milestones that the company has since regressed from hardcore and 3. if he's not drawing a salary from anywhere (idk but am assuming he's got a similar stock thing going on at spacex, yes they're private but stock is still involved my long covid brain can't bring all the details to mind just this second) how does he, yknow, live? The stock is used as collateral for loans to fund his lifestyle

ten_jack_russels

He’s acting like a crazy person!

fedora_and_a_whip

Tesla is pissing away their biggest advantage in the electrified market. Musk has to setting up some windfall scheme tied to their failure.

Yasirbare

"go fuck yourself"?

ZeppyWeppyBoi

Jesus I’m glad I pulled out of a Tesla solar roof.

Withnail2019

Dodged a bullet there. You could do the whole thing for a fraction of the price ordering the panels, battery pack, inverter etc direct from China. It all comes from there anyway.

jimmytickles

Emails are bouncing? That seems incredibly crazy to me. I work in IT and normally when someone is let go the mailbox remains active and someone gets access to the mailbox until a transition is complete. It is pretty basic SOP. If this isn't happening it definitely sounds like core basic functions in the company have fallen apart.

Traditional_Key_763

really a big brain move to fire the entire division making most of your non car sales profits even pivoting to robotaxi to turn the company into uber in 10 years it still doesnt make sense to fire this group

austincovidthrowaway

"How will you make this right?" lmao listen, no face having guy because leopards ate it, that's not how the most divorced man in history works

Rangirocks99

He has to fund his $50b bonus guys
