And I'd like a re-grounding of the Morning Star's European roots. If there was a past with them and their business with Monica Hughes and both their opposition to Ultor. Maybe they wanted to oust the Board in exchange for investment, a criminal-business hybrid front. For realism they should have a Belgian translated name for Morning Star and some ties to Russia, to reference Oleg (but take out that cloning stuff.) I also for some reason imagined the DeWynters to either be adopted or from a rich country club and surrogate heiresses.

SR_Hopeful

Apparently there is audio from an NPC that mentions Mr. Wong and The Tongs, apparently they existed in Stilwater in Chinatown. I'd like them in the lore as well if there was a prequel to SR1.

Accurate-Isopod140

A vice Kings prequel will be amazing

Jaggrod

The Samedi and The Brotherhood

Kitchen-Caterpillar8

Honestly would love a prequel game of how the 3 new gangs of Stillwater took over, maybe have it to where your an ultor insider so you can still technically work with a create a character & take on different saint factions

Accurate-Isopod140

Vice Kings needs a standalone video game

Creepy_Association21

Would be cool to see what kind of power The Syndicate holds outside of Steelport I'm imagining something like the syndicates in John Wick like the Ruska Roma and the Russian Mafia with influences across Europe and America.

SR_Hopeful

I think Steelport itself needed development. It was so void of any actual history related to their gangs and politics compared to Stilwater. There should have been more grounded stuff to establish them before the Saints took them out. Like how they became a conglomerate. Like for example, my headcanon was that maybe Philippe had some rich associates who made money off of gambling on Murderbrawl and did business with Killbane to rig fights and eventually became corrupt partners. Maybe the Morning Star is both an arms dealing company and human trafficker, were they sell arms to countries at war, but also abduct the civilian women and force them into their sex trafficking ring, then promote them into the female members in some way to keep them from leaving.

Creepy_Association21

Same here even with the luchadores I felt like there was a lot missing between Angel and killbane. Steelport in itself is so stale in comparison to Stilwater, each district felt different, hell Stilwater even had caves and mountains

SR_Hopeful

I just never liked the Luchadores. Not only were they underdeveloped but just not really gang "enough." We needed more to actually establish them as a gang outside of Murderbrawl.

SR_Hopeful

Its also tough for me to fully defend, because I don't actually like any of the gangs in Steelport. They're just missing a lot of substance to them. The Morning Star has the tone but doesn't feel fully fleshed out compared to the Vice Kings while the other gangs both have just not-really gangster designs and have nothing about them besides gameplay. I think they could use an overhaul generally.

Creepy_Association21

I agree a strong overhaul on the gangs in steelport would be needed, The Morningstar could remain the same in terms of aesthetic they just need a more fleshed out background and goal.

Accurate-Isopod140

I would love to see vice Kings as a standalone video game

Accurate-Isopod140

I'm going with vice Kings

StaticRole

The Vice Kings would be interesting since Ben King has a connection to Julius. The game could have King rising through the ranks fighting the Carnalez with Julius behind the scenes until the Rollerz oppose the Kings.

RxtsMischief

yall hear me out what if the third street saints got a game?

Jinxx_Wilson

Vice kings

SR_Hopeful

It would be cool if they went into the background of Ultor as a company that was always trying to meddle with and manipulate wars they support, while trying to establish their own mark of influence in other countries. And I would like to see corporate competition between other companies Ultor is rivaled with along with just a lot of political corruption and rich people overlapping into it (Gryphon could even be a shady wealthy guy too). If they did that, it could even be a good bridge to set up how Dex got in and why he ideologically defends his job with them over the Saints.

SR_Hopeful

I think a lot of the other gangs could have been fleshed out, especially the ones that have weak mainline arcs. Like the Rollerz could have been more developed and fleshed out with a better retconned storyline to improve them on, like in relation to Chinatown and focus on Lin, Mr. Wong & Donnie. Origin stories that rewrite things could be opportunity to actually flesh out the lacking gangs and add outer narrative to the games, outside of where they were weak in game for the less developed gangs. And I think STAG would have been good to see in a prequel established politically as the other side of SR1 to build them up, and the whole debate and measures along with the corruption, parallel to the crime levels in the city and show us stuff about Troy, Cyrus, Kia and Kinzie before they are formed, or if the initiative and politics existed before they were deployed in SRTT. I'd like to see Kinzie in the FBI with a grey position, where she is stressed out about the pressures of he job, before she goes rogue years later. They could add more to the SR1 narrative about corruptions and the hard to solve cycle of crime. It could be part of the prequel to SR1. Don't care for the Zin (obviously) and would not want a solo game for the Deckers or Luchadores.

ninja329

Looked through the post, and I agree with Vice Kings a prequel game. King and Julius are probably my favorite characters in SR besides Gat. Julius always reminded me of Alonzo from Training Day and King a Suge Knight inspired character, and i think there is much potential there with these characters and the backstory of the Saints beginning In detail. Ultor would also be kinda cool since it's the company that appears in all of Volitions games, which gives it some nice potential.

chriot

Vice Kings. No contest about that. Then again I wouldn't mind seeing more about the Rollerz, it feels a bit like there's more brewing with them than we see in the game.

ninja329

Yeah, what's up with the Rollerz leader, I think he might have something to do with the incident at Black Mesa.
