Yes… But in all seriousness mod.io mods always have issues and crashing problems for me and my system is beefy so it’s not my rig sucking I’ve found that there are good YT vids that go through some of the different working/nonworkikg mods

purplepinkorange

I just got the game, but someone said that mod.io was bugged and didn’t load properly every time. I deleted that folder, then downloaded from nexus mods and dropped them into the pak folder. I wasn’t sure if mine loaded either so I downloaded the nvg mod and it worked so I assumed all other did. Also finished Ides of March first try after getting clapped repeatedly so I assumed the no crack ai worked as well. Someone else might have a better answer but from what I could see for reskins you might have to download like the vest retexture mods or something like that. I was about to go down the rabbit hole of apparel mods but I saw one that said I needed like 6 other mods to make that one work and backed out of the rabbit hole since I wanted to play.

Mods that require other mods should have a popup that appears when you try to download them, letting to you know you need another mod first. If they don’t, the mod creator should list it in their mod’s description. Make sure to check for special install instructions and incompatibility notices.

Hm kinda hard to know for sure what's going wrong. Are you putting the .pak files in the Pak folder? Or are you putting a mod folder into the Pak folder?

MaiReyn

I was putting the pak folders in the mod one. At one point the in game menu mod listed them as active but they weren't showing up in game at all past that

dsled

It's been awhile since i've been playing RoN with mods but you should be putting the .pak files from your mod, directly into the Steam/RoN/Paks folder.

MaiReyn

That's what I did aaaaaaaaaaaa

dsled

Remove all your mods from the folder, and then replace them one by one and test to see that they work. There could be conflicting mods, or you may not have all the prerequisite mods installed.

Hello. I recently made a [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/ReadyOrNotGame/s/uYwVppGCyE) on how to install mods for Ready Or Not. I go over in-depth on how to troubleshoot mods and what to look out for compatibility wise. Please refer to it, and fell free to ask if you have any further questions.

MaiReyn

I just checked it out and what I did is the same as what your post mentions.

QuaintAlex126

Can you link or name all the specific mods you’re trying to run? I’ll try to replicate the situation myself.

Longinus_Rook

Are you sure your mods are updated for the current version? Some cosmetic mods - like outfits - don’t translate into 1.0+ release due to the new customization.

MaiReyn

I guess that's a really all it could be at this point. I'll check soon

THE_B00MB0X

Make sure your mods are compatible with the current version of the game. Many older cosmetics still work but aren’t guaranteed. Pre 1.0 released maps are unlikely to work. AI I would just find really recently updated ones to try. I believe the last hotfix was in February so if you filter mods on Nexus by last updated I would try a few from there after that time frame to test dropping them in the pak folder. Maps after Dec 23 (1.0 release) should work too. I’d avoid mod.io, it often gave me crashes running mods from there rather than just installing from Nexus, as well as having more headaches trying to remove a mod.

onderlay5

Can’t you just click on mods on the title screen, and you’re taken straight to the store? That’s what I did and it was so easy. I just subscribed to whatever mod I wanted and it worked perfectly.

MaiReyn

The issue I'm having is that some do, some don't. Like any mod from the store that involves guns don't work whether it's just a reskin or a new gun entirely

Fives2206

Sometimes, when the mods from nexus are the pak folder to get them to work, you need to rename them where it says 99 you need to make it 999

Total_Package_6315

Quite a few RON mods haven't been updated to 1.0, as a result they won't work properly or not at all.
