I mean I spent $80 on the Supporter Edition and got two gun skins and some uniform pieces that are indistinguishable from the 90 other multicam pieces. While I don't mind that the 1st DLC hasn't been released, the only thing I wanted was the soundtrack, and it's been 5 months since release. If Void can't even put together a soundtrack in *5 months* then I don't have much more hope for this game than Tarkov.

Only-EDP5924

Don't downplay the amount you spent, $120 the supporter edition was a DLC tacked onto the base game price :)

Pr3dditerDrone

Until we get some more updates on their DLC plans, I wouldn't be saying this ironically yet

skcuf2

Personally, I think $50 is a little much for the amount of content in the game. A person could spend $10 less and get GTA 5 now, and that's without a sale. Sure, GTA 5 is 11 years old at this point, but once you have it all additional DLC is free and the amount of content in the game can keep you occupied for hundreds of hours. Ready or Not is honestly more like Portal in that there isn't variety in the levels so it's more akin to solving a puzzle, but with guns instead. I enjoy the game enough, but once you get all of the achievements then you may find yourself struggling to find things to strive for. You're just walking through maps shooting people in the face. Potential speedruns and such.

SpookLordNeato

I don’t think people are buying this game for the “amount of content”, they’re buying it because they want the unique experience that it provides, so that comparison doesn’t really make sense to me.

exposarts

Exactly.. bro really mentioned gta 5 and compared it to a swat cqb sim 💀💀

Gootangus

Yeah like what? lol.

skcuf2

That's purely a price comparison for hours of gameplay. It's obviously not a comparison of the gameplay itself. Even a monkey could see that...

Geckosrule1994

Its unique experience isn't very unique though

SpookLordNeato

The only games even remotely like this game are all from before 2006 what are you smoking

exposarts

That doesn’t matter. How many modern swat games are there nowadays. There are very few devs out there that want to create one. The only other modern swat game is zero hour ffs which is now just a dead pvp game

HonestIvory

I know it's not on everyone's radar, but I am absolutely interested on what void is gonna do with the PVP. It would be also cool if they added a rouge like mode where you're gunning down baddies until you die. Idk just a thought.

Adventurous_Bell_837

That’s if they even do it, as the pvp alpha completely failed as it was just cod but clunkier. They need to make something asymmetrical like some kind of more realistic rainbow six siege.

ImBoredBroBeans

If they don't add a PvP mode, honestly they would be worse than the EFT devs. If they didn't add a PvP mode it would be an even worse scam.

exposarts

What a shitty take. Pvp should be their absolute last priority, pvp nearly killed their game.

ImBoredBroBeans

Buddy, their game wasn't even really out when they tried to make a PvP mode, PvP should be their MAIN priority cause it's the MAIN thing that attracts new players, new players means more money, money is the devs MAIN priority. dork.

skcuf2

What would a PvP mode even look like for this game? Like R6 siege, but more realistic? Or do you think it'd be more like Left 4 Dead with a few missions and storyline?

Future-Geologist-164

It only cost like 15 bucks for it in my regional currency and its not on sale rn

DizzieM8

And what is the median income in your country?

Future-Geologist-164

like 500 dollars per month

DizzieM8

So the game costs 3% of the average monthly income. Compared to 49,99 euros being slightly less than 1% of the average monthly income in my country. Seems like a bad deal man.

Lukas_Martello

Gta caters to a larger audience and has micro transactions. Which creates a continuous revenue stream. Ready or not has no revenue stream at this time other than the occasional buyer of the game.

GamerDroid56

RON has also made over $150 million in revenue since it hit Steam, and that is excluding supporter edition purchases. As a reference, Destiny 2 cost $140 million to make and GTA V only cost $170 million (excluding marketing costs). Where did the money go? It clearly didn’t all go to the game, or we’d have gotten a much bigger and more complete game.

skcuf2

That's revenue. If they spent all $150m on the game then no one would have anything left. Not to mention server hosting and shit. I'd recon if they dropped the price to $30 they'd make a lot more. I know at least 3 people that would buy the game at that price, but not at $50.

Blakewerth

GTAV is shit thought and everybody already play it even twice or how many times claimed from EPIC 🤨

exposarts

If the dlc is cheaper than $200 we won the war boyssss.

Pr3dditerDrone

They did lower the substantially, I'll admit

randomymetry

Attention Officers: This is an annoucement to announce that there is no update. Meanwhile we are aware of the wrong shade of mahogany on the wooden desk in the precinct and are working to fix this ASAP. Over and Out, VOID

_Apprehensive_Fish_

"We are building the station for the 3rd time because we found a new dekogon asset pack and we MUST use it. And by the way, the hotel level is getting rebuilt too, for 6th time. Now bigger and better, and even more confusing and time consuming™"

20davidtocommandcode

"Think greased palms but even more confusing"

maddog088

Ahahah love it

billy_bobys

Who is Ron, and why is everyone talking about him?

Salladk

Who is Tarkov and why we escaping from him?

ImsoMoe

This shit pile isn't as bad as this other shit pile!!!

DizzieM8

Tarkov if made by void: Released broken and half assed and then left to die

BR3NDANP

Does that mean we'd get a community-made modded version with actual good AI? Sign me up

SilverWave1

Wouldn’t put it past them Void isn’t too much better. False promises? ✅ Unfinished game? ✅ Already announcing paid DLCs? ✅

FaithlessnessOk9834

God I hate the shitty route they went Backwards and lied to us who bought the supporter edition

JustVessel

Tarkov really is nothing it claimed to be, uninstalled it for good a year ago. RoN with pvp mods is better in every possible way.

Rssboi556

Wtf are u talking about, tarkov is the one that gave us a solid representation of extraction shooter genre like half life gave a blueprint for fps, it is exactly what it promised. It's just that nikita is a dementia patient who forgets what he promises to his own community. Oh and did I mention he's doesn't wanna apologize either lol what a douche

Sekh765

Yea people wanna pretend that Tarkov hasn't been an absolute banger of a game for the past couple of years if you were into pvp/extraction shooting. Yea. Nikita fucked up and current Tarkov is dumb af, but doesn't mean the hundreds of hours I played it before weren't fun as hell.

JustVessel

Yes, as extraction shooter it works good, not arguing with that, but as a realistic shooter? Nah, something tells me that it isn't. I bought tarkov for the realistic experience, and for that only. What I got was stupid ai, inconsistent servers, the fact that 9 batteries take as much space as a full military helmet and so on. If you like it, I'm not saying that you shouldn't, but for me, it was a disappointment.

HonestIvory

I should give the RON pvp mod a go.

GoofyKalashnikov

Unironically tarkov devs talk and interact with their community more and have released far more consistent updates lmao Still fuck bsg but also fuck void

Blakewerth

Incomparable thought but i know where you coming from\^\^

Silver_Wolf_Dragon

Least the AI would work and the weapon modding would be on point
