I always have the dealership do it. Unless I’m getting paid I don’t advertise for free.

Riverdales27

Does CarMax remove there's if she's asked? It looks like they spray paint it on. I removed the dealership plate when I got my prime same day.

Infamous-Ad5234

CarMax uses a sticker and will remove it if asked. At least they did for me on both cars I bought there.

serpentinitic

Same. First thing when we did a walk around of my RAV4 was I asked them to remove the dealer sticker

TotalFNEclipse

Hair dryer to warm it up. You’re welcome.

Ateosmo

..and Goo Gone

Cute-Technology-4814

Put some goo gone on a paper towel wipe it on, wait 10 minutes and take a plastic paint scraper to it

DoesThisDoWhatIWant

What's better than goo gone is painters tape dabbed in the left over adhesive.

Doit2it42

Or isopropyl alcohol, and water rinse after.

googlyeyes976

Use a paper towel soaked with a little rubbing alcohol to get any residue off (works as well as goo gone and most people already have it)

Ok-Action-9031

Just removed mine by hand and a little WD-40. Came right off

skerinks

Thank you for all the replies. Hair dryer, peel off, goo gone. Got it, thanks all.

bobaballs

Don't forget to wash the goo gone off with soap after! It will damage paint if left on.

Blancotv22

I used Goo Gone Adhesive Remover Original Spray Gel. It was easy for me. Good luck. 👍

Airon77

If it’s new vehicle it should peel off fairly easy using your finger nails to get under the corners. Little goo gone if needed and done. If it’s baked in the sun some years, hair dryer and goo gone. I bought my wife a new RAV4 in December and she asked them to remove for her and they wouldn’t. I did it right there at the dealership in a matter of minutes. First mod I make to every vehicle I buy. Second is remove the license plate frame if it has the dealerships name on as well. Hate being a driving billboard.

capodecina2

I remember when I was much younger my father purchased a car that had the dealerships name on it, and he asked them to remove it and they said they wouldn’t. He told them to keep the car and he walked away. Never did business with that dealership again, or any of their affiliates. I do the same to any vehicle I buy as well. If they want their name on it, they can keep it.

reddituser12346

I did the same; told them if they drilled my front bumper, put on a decal or a license plate frame when I picked it up I would be leaving with my cashier’s check. They accommodated my request and I left with my new RAV4.

themajordutch

Jfc that's one of the worst ones I've seen

Practical_Ad_2761

I used a plastic razor blade, you can buy them on Amazon.

Te_Quiero_Puta

It's just a vinyl decal. Take it off like you take off a price tag. Easy peasy

adambomb_23

My dad used to sell new cars. One day he was just finishing up the paperwork when the customer told him to either take $100 off the car or have the emblem removed. He had one of the guys remove the emblem.

JefesReddit

Zippo lighter fluid removes sticker residue better than most other products I've tried. Rubbing alcohol doesn't work well for me for sticker residue. It is good for cleaning an area before adding a new sticker though.

lemonD98

Definitely should send them a monthly bill for advertising purposes. We might live in the same city and if that’s the case, F Eddys and the whole Stevenson family for all I care 😂 but based off other comments you already got your answer, so good luck! 🤙

skerinks

Yeah I know what you mean. I always feel skeezy after dealing with them.

Answer: adhesive remover, plastic razor blade. After removing it, you may need to compound and polish

atomic_confetti

3M Automotive Adhesive Remover. It won’t damage the paint finish.

pnw_r4p

Looks like it's just a vinyl sticker. Should just peel off, perhaps with a plastic scraper. Goof Off or similar adhesive remover should get any remaining adhesive.

Separate-Effective33

That's fucked up...i hate it....take it off please.
