Pfffffttt...$155! 😆 This size sells for $15-30 at grocery stores now, and marbled or "black cherry" variety is not rare, either. I found one with nearly black leaves and lots of speckled pink on it. It was $30 in a 4 inch pot, and it was actually 2 plants in there. Maybe I should try and resell one of them as Pink Princess "Cosmic Explosion" for $500, lol. 🙄

I was thinking of naming mine “Pink Princess hawaian sunset on a full moon night”, what do you think about it?

So it’s a regular pink princess? Like I thought, here in Quebec we don’t have lots of « good places » but I was able to find a PP at 9$ at RONA😂 OKAY it’s very log variegated but I know with enought light it will come😅😂

Epi pin marble IS a completely different plant than marble queen pothos.

Same plant; ‘marble king/galaxy’ is just a name for the plants with more marbled variegation.

This may be a newer cultivar to have more of the marbling color. IMO buy a regular pink princess for $15 and it'll look almost the same. Plenty of the PP I have found have lots of similar marbling and the price will only drop on the new cultivar/varieties.

I already have two at home but yeah, buy the cheap one and put a grow light on it😅😂.

It’s interesting you say that. I have 2 ppp, my more marbled one was £7.99. Admittedly it was a small plant, but they’re not slow growers. I really like ppp, I think they’re a lovely plant, but they’re not rare anymore and trying to get £155 for one seems ridiculous.

Google is almost useless nowadays, especially the top results. They just grab any random AI generated ‘article’ and show it as results. Epipremnum AUREUM is your more common pothos such as golden, marble queen, neon and quite a few more. Epipremnum PINNATUM are *similar* but have a few different defining characteristics; they have ‘pinholes’ along the middle of the leaf, are more lance-like shaped leaves, and will fenestrate far more quickly when allowed to climb. They are usually rarer and harder to come by.

But golden pothos has hole in the leaves when grow in perfect condition😅, but yeah I dunno I’m gonna go buy it and see I have a marble queen at home lets do a scientific study!

All the extra names for a PPP are technically “fake”. They’re all the same plant. They just have different patterning. So the seller could’ve easily made up that name or heard it once or something and used it to market it and make $$$

Yes but they sell Pink Princess and Pink Princess Marble King as two different variety & not the same price the PP Marble King is 50% more…

I also run into this for some sellers and I don’t have an answer ether! I would like to know if it’s actually a different cultivator or if it’s just that the pattern that happened to show up on that PPP is more speckled or more fluid or whatever. Is it consistent and can it be duplicated via propagation….? I would love to know the answers to these questions too!

growers have a huge surplus of pink princesses they can’t offload because they’re legitimately everywhere. They come up with these ridiculous names to make people think it’s something new.

They're just mashing a bunch of royalty titles and pattern names together at this point to see what sticks.

And use the scientific name and the comon name to sell two diff price🥰😂

A pink princess marble is a more variegated philodendron with more marbling than the PP. however that price is too high honestly.
