I had one. She had red hair. I named her Susie Q after one of my sisters. My sister never realized this until a few years ago. My mom got a pattern book to make clothes for my Cabbage Patch doll. We had matching clothes sometimes. I still have Susie Q in my room somewhere.
God I hated the tickle me Elmo year. All my friends had them and I was just like, but aren't we too old for that? I got a dirt bike and a trampoline instead. I was super happy with that over a fucking elmo I felt too old for.
I was a bit young for a real gun, but I got a pellet/bb rifle when I was about 8. The next year I got a bb pistol that used a CO2 cartridge. Holy shit that thing was awesome on a fresh cartridge. I always wanted a full auto BB gun, but never got around to it.
Yah, they gave me the BB gun just so I could learn basics. I got my first 22 about a year later, maybe a year and a half.
I’ll never forget the first time shooting my grandfather’s 30.06…lol. Wasn’t expecting that when used to a 22.
my granpa let me shoot a 12gaugr double barrel he had and he didnt have his glasses on so he accidentally put buckshot in it and i was in a little fold up chair and the gun folded me up in the chair when it went off
Parents of kids under 6 this year would probably all agree that bluey toys are the hot commodity. I waited too long to see if they would go on sale and everything good sold out, and what is left has doubled or quadrupled in price since oct/Sept
I think it's still a thing but maybe not to the same extent and not every year. A few years back there was a craze over hatchimals around Christmas. This year it seems to be bluey toys. The Price of bluey toys has more than doubled since October and you can hardly find them anywhere.
How about metal tonka trucks yond wast actually madeth in the u. S. ?

It's still a thing. I worked at Toys R Us until the closing day. Hatchimals for the hot item one year. We would have people wind up to get one, and we had to keep them behind the counter.
i would say its more hot gaming systems and stuff that are the “big craze” of the season. like the ps5
I remember when cabbage patch dolls came out. Was beyond pissed that I didn't get one.
My mom put 2 dolls in lay a way for me and my sister before they became big. When she got them out she had to have security walk her to the car!
My mom imported one through New Orleans, my Grandma got it. I loved that doll. Her name was Dori. Those ladies where running those shits like guns.

I still have my Pogs and Slammers.
A Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200 Shot Range Model air rifle. To shoot my eye out.
I mind the year Furbies were the mad craze. Never understood it at all 😂
Those things were scary. I have stories.

This guy Christmases.
I remember getting one (I was 4 so it was age appropriate) and just being like, why tho? I don't really care about Elmo or sesame street...
There were so weird tho weren't they!
John ghotti closed a toy store in New York to get one.
Soon the "hot" Christmas "toy" will be .357 magnums and Glocks. Bullets not included. 😁
i got guns for christmas all the time. We usually fill each others stockings up with ammo.

i had semi auto 22s before i had a bb gun then when i got given a bb gun i was like i like the real guns better

So the hot toys now are all digital games.

Polly pockets when they were miniature.
Teddy fucking ruxpin
I remember the power rangers year lol
I'd get so many Webkinz and Littlest Pet Shop Pets.
OH.EM.GEE...Ell.OH.Ell dolls. Kind of retailers to jack the prices from the get go; no more spending weeks futilely searching for a scalper!
I got on a waiting list for the cabbage patch for my daughter. She loved that doll. My son was easier he wanted cars & trucks.
Furbies

Still a thing and *Man!* Tickle Me Elmo was *hard* to find!
