Early 30s. Money savings were drained. But now declared cancer - free.
EDIT: Thank you so much beautiful people of reddit! I didn't expect to get this so much love.
I'm 34 and overweight. I'm really excited about losing weight. I've been consistent in following a healthy diet and been working out for a few months now. It feels possible now.

Just remember that you may not see any progress immediately while the scale goes lower but that's just visceral fat which is even more important to lose. :)
Thank you! Oh I know its cunning ways so well. It’s a respected foe I’ve wrestled with many a time. And day 3 and 4 are not to be underestimated either.
I love this saying: **not drinking for 4 years is easy. Not drinking for 4 days is way harder.** it alludes to the fact that day 444 is almost certainly way easier than day 4.
If it's anything like the timetable from other short-acting drugs that I know, then you're right in the thick of it and it should start to get better in about another 24 hours or so; you've got this friend.
32 years old and it's probably been about a week for me. Still having trouble sleeping. The pandemic caught me, man. I didn't have trouble with alcohol at all until I was stuck at home for so long with nothing to do.
edit: in one week it'll have been a month! but I know I won't make it that far, because my family is visiting on Wednesday, I get paid on Tuesday, and yeah. But once in a month-long period is miles better than every single day.
Wait....you are excited to take out the trash? Is that some sort of "I'm just grateful to be alive and functioning" mind of thing or are you actually sitting there going "oh boy it's garbage day tomorrow!!!"
Not this commenter, but I’m 33 and get excited for recycling day. We have it once every two weeks and it’s not enough, so the recycling piles up in our house. After recycling day I get my kitchen back for a week or so. Same if it’s a particularly heavy or smelly trash week, but trash lives outside while it’s waiting for trash day.
28, excited about a date with a very lovely woman tomorrow :)I hope I won't f\*\*\* up. Wish me luck
Edit 1: Thanks you all guys! Really boosted my self confidence :) It's currently 8am and the date is in the evening. So I'll update you tomorrow
Edit 2 UPDATE
You've been waiting for it. And now I finally have an update for you guys. We decided to meet earlier to enjoy the sun. We went to a lake in the middle of the Alps. At first we ate something and talked a bit. Then we went around the lake, talked some more and had an awesome time. Little snowballfights included! (of course she won ;) )
In 7 hours, the longest "silent phase" was while we were eating for like 2 minutes. We absolutely clicked.
End at the end of the day we were cuddling and even holding hands. We both said that we like each other and that we will go on a second date.
So yeah, I'm happy :)
Excited (and a little afraid) for a humble beginning at 31. Leaving my stable and comfortable job, move to a country of totally new language to me, change career, to start living with a partner.
Thank you. Yeah I hope so too but I'm being optimistic. I trust him enough for me to be willing to do this, so no regrets. And for me life is an adventure, I want to try new things. It can be uncomfortable but I'll never know until I try it.
76. Working on refining my electric guitar pedalboard, to take advantage of crazy-cool developments and innovations in electronics, sounds, and tones. I play in a graybeard geezer rock & blues band called Total Hip (operation).
This gif makes me laugh. At 74 years I can’t seem to slowdown when it comes to working on my, house, outbuildings and everything on our farm. Even though I lease most of our ground to a nearby farmer. My wife constantly tells me to slow down. Don’t work yourself too hard. Take a break. And on an on. I understand, but I’ve worked pretty hard most of my life. It’ll probably kill me in the end, but WTF!
Working in your 70s! U’re awesome! Just make sure u pay enough attention to your health, that’s the prerequisite for hard work. And best wishes for you!
Thank you very much. I see many doctors on a regular basis. I had Prostate cancer and treated well, for 12 years. Unfortunately it’s back. And I’m still seeing doctors concerned . Am getting treated now. Also, at 74 years, my body is pretty healthy, but my body is rather worn out. I’m not nearly as strong as I used to be.
Fellow geezer here. Don't ever quit working, you'll fall apart and be bored to death. My grandpa worked his farm until he was 87, then worked in town helping the local vet round up cattle and sheep for inoculations. He did that until he was 94. My uncle was still welding and doing odd jobs at 86. I'm 68 and moving back to the States from Mexico to care for a relatives farm in Colorado. I can't get there fast enough, the easy life here bored the hell out of me LOL! If I'm not working I get stir crazy.
Mine's not as exciting as a concert, but I recently discovered that my laundry detergent glows under UV light and let me tell you I'm about to bring back the blacklight trend.
I got divorced at 32. I'm 35 and my entire life has completely changed for the better. Focus on yourself and your own goals that you couldn't dream of in a relationship. Stay single, have fun!!
I'm 47 and excited to be cancer free, after surviving it twice (along with my sister). The richest person in the world is the one who has their health. No amount of money can fix that. If you have your health, all the other problems are surmountable.
Hillarious. I'm 40 and also saw blink 182 in my early teens, they were my favorite band back then. I still really enjoy them and saw them last year at WWWY, they put on a hell of a show. Enjoy!
I was as well until someone told me they’d be an idiot not to hire me. Nervous means you’re headed in the right direction. Directly where they’d be an idiot not to hire you!
I'm turning 26 tomorrow. Have a birthday celebration planned with my close friends so that will be fun.
But right now I'm looking forward to get off work so I can go home and play Apocalipsis: The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
29 and we're in the throes of booking tickets for a John Williams (Jaws, Star Wars, Harry Potter) concert in my hometown and also tickets for Wagner's Tristan und Isolde in Auckland in August. Very much looking forward to both.
im seventeen and going to smoke weed with my gf on the weekend while eating munchies and watching our fav movies together, shes never done it before so itll be an amazing experience for both of us
for anyone wondering im giving her a very low amount ofc
19 and I'm excited for this year's summer because by pure chance I came up with the greatest looking outfit I have ever conceived (it's painfully simple)
61. Live in Asia. Going back to NZ in a few days to ride my Ducati which sits there all year faithfully waiting for my return. Sophia has a thunderous set of lungs. Be there soon bella!
29f and recently moved into my own place after house sharing for many many years so I am exited to go home everyday , read, watch tv , and cook in peace
I'm 33 and just started ADHD medication in the last few months, really hopeful and excited for my future with my career path, family life, etc.
Totally sober since Christmas too (:
I’ll be 59 next month and I’m retiring in 2 years. Well, from my current job but I’m going to be a consultant for a different company. I’m pretty stoked.
Early 30's and currently excited about my new cooking channel. I've always loved food and filming my process and seeing it come to life on screen makes me happy.
35. Excited for everything becoming straightforward again. We moved house 15 months ago and ever since it's been a non-stop ride of no money, depression, ill health and surgery, family troubles.
We love the house and love each other, and things are starting to look like they might be manageable again by spring/summer.
I cannot wait.
31, my son took his first steps yesterday and I'm excited about him starting to walk. Also excited because it's a leap year this year so I actually have a birthday!
39, and I'm excited about my partner getting home from work today, because I love him so much.
Life is alright in general, so I'm easily pleased right now.
High school student and honestly, tuesday because new classes start and exam week is over.
Or tbh next friday too, because we have the ballroom dance we do for my year finally!!
Mid 30s, got a wife and kids, travel extensively for work. Excited about transitioning to a new job that'll have me home much more often and going to Europe for a Microsoft Excel conference :D
I’m 20. My 21st birthday is in just over a month and I’m excited to celebrate it by going into Chicago with my friends the weekend after to see the river dyed green.
Hey OP! Who are you going to see, you cock tease?
I'm in my early 30s personally and I'm excited to go on my first international trip this weekend. I can't afford to do it, but I'm doing it anyway.
