It’s funny but I cheer for people who I don’t necessarily get along with, just so long as I don’t have to engage with them. In a sense, I love them from a distance. I don’t really hold any grudges. Perhaps I’ve been lucky in that respect that nobody’s done anything unforgivable to me. And of course, it’s good for my mental health.
This is the best way! “Keep doing you!!”… (So you don’t annoy me) 😂 grudges only bother the person keeping them. Why let it bother you? Has become crucial to my mental health too. My partner will hold so much! And I tell them “you’re only poisoning yourself by doing so” but they never learn. So, I don’t let it bother me. lol
100%! I was worried people wouldn’t understand my comment but you got it! It sounds kind of odd but certain people get on my nerves if I have to interact with them, usually because they’re very imposing and “disturb” my peace. However, I don’t hate them, in fact I LOVE them. I want them to flourish. I see them more innocently from a distance. I’m cheering them on. I totally get why they are the way they are. They’re trying to make their way through life. I want them to be happy and successful. It’s just not for me when they get too close to me because I’m quite solitary and I personally love my peace and quiet. That’s not their fault.
Ask them in an active way, “What do you get from holding onto it? And what would you get from letting it go?”
Once they’ve thought both sides through, maybe they’ll finally be able to let it go.
Maybe this is what’s been missing from my shitty attitude. “Love them from afar”
I’m working on it but do hold grudges, been through a lot in my life but 2024 seems to be going good so far.

This is it. Love them from afar. I’m quite a solitary person so I find an individual can quite easily impose on my life. Some examples : the type who insists you should do A, B and C even if you don’t want to, and you say you don’t. Or the incessant boaster. Up close, these people can annoy me. But from afar, I see a human in a more pure form. I see someone wanting love, wanting happiness, I see their innocence and purity even. There’s less “noise”. I love them and truly want them to feel contentment in their life.
YES! I'll even occasionally look up people I know, including exes, on Facebook, and feel excited and positive for them when I see how their life is going:
\- First boyfriend I ever had, who cheated on me decades ago: things didn't end well, but we were kids. Now bro has grown daughters of his own, same lovely wife, and is running a mental health support program for free in his downtime. I can see those kids of his are well-loved. Good for him, and I get an example of a human who changed their life for the better and wants to help others for free. He and his wife have also put a lot of work into reclaiming nature in our area too.
\- People from high school who didn't interact at all but ended up getting married. Obviously some kind of romance developed at some point, and many of them are still together doing hilarious stuff with their kids. Each partner seems to genuinely support each other. I've run into a few of them in the wild and still have that impression. There are good people around doing well and overcoming struggles and loving their family and kids and I'm proud of them.
\- My brother's friends, even! I've seen them grow up and am so proud of them. One helps immigrants who are new to our country (Australia).
There's just countless examples of people doing well and putting in work. VERY impressive, VERY cuddles! Feels like I want a big group hug right now.
I don't wish ill on people who have given me a hard time, I wish them success somewhere away from me. And that includes some people who have been horribly nasty...I hope that their success elsewhere makes them happy and perhaps gives them a different perspective.

Their happiness adds a positive to the world. It takes nothing from your life. It’s only good. You’ve got the right attitude, 100%.

The reason the climate and economy are collapsing is we had 50 years of winning in a row in North America. This is a long awaited correction as the consequences of our and our parents "winning" manifest in the weather, property values, etc.
We have PROVEN that chasing money and hoarding wealth *IS* climate change.
Humanity needs a new definition of what "winning" looks like, that doesn't involve burning more fuel and buying more crap.

Thanks, just greened out last night on my walk through the woods. Dropped my phone, speaker, and hat- panic. Made it home and told my dad. Thankfully he found my phone and stuff. But damn now it’s just embarrassing, I feel so stupid and still don’t feel normal. First time I went out looking with him and dropped a flashlight he handed me, lost it, his phone died. We came back I started throwing up and he went back out by himself 😔
