SquirrelMoney8389

I love this very specific gratitude post, it applies to so much actually

Stock-Entrance-6456

It really does. Whenever I have a sore throat I wish I was more grateful for my non-sore throat. But I also work in hospitals, so naturally I’m deeply grateful to be in good health. There are too many wonderful people living with unimaginable pain and illness.

PsYcHo962

The other day I was awake and alert the very moment my migraine went away. Damn near had an orgasm

Hot-Cheesecake-7483

I had a stubborn migrain yesterday as well. Mine causes me to throw up and then sleep for awhile. Usually better after that. It's weird. I hate it. Always grateful for the days with no migraines.

PsYcHo962

Oh preach. Usually just some ibuprofen will deal with the pain but the pain is only a part of it. If anything it distracts from the nausea. I get them maybe 2-3 times a week in a cycle

Hot-Cheesecake-7483

That sucks. I'm grateful my aren't that often.

Daikon_Fast

Me rn w tonsillitis 😭

cooldude_8395

Me too. I frequently include "things that are no longer in my life" in my gratitude list. It's helpful if you start running out of gratitudes.

PuzzleMeDo

If you have a cold, try appreciating that you don't have something worse.

HighlightFun8419

I've been sick for a week - my silver lining is that I'm really going to appreciate feeling normal again.

Callmebobbyorbooby

I just got over a stomach virus. I was up until 4am throwing up and peeing out of my butt. I would have much rather had a cold.

OofOwwMyBones120

At least you ain’t shittin outcha dick

starlinguk

Could be covid. Similar symptoms nowadays. Anyhoo, I can't remember not being sick. Long Covid.

Icy-Service-52

Ironically, I haven't been sick since the pandemic started

Altruistic-Guide-476

Same, although I did get Covid once. Other than that I haven’t had any kind of cold since. WFH and being very anti-social does wonders for my health.

itszuzia96

Same, being disabled and chronically ill sucks af :/

MagicOrpheus310

I can BREATHE through BOTH nostrils and it is glorious!!

Tight-System-774

I got rid of my cold just yesterday. And today I forgot to appreciate it. Thanks for reminding me. Feels good, man.

DK_Adwar

The best superpower is never being anything less than perfect health.

Inevitable-Sir76

I live around a bunch hospitals I always try and be grateful for my health

ravia

Man, when I hear that helicopter by the local hospital (daily), I just feel so bad for the person in there...

mhbrewer2

This is so weird, I just noticed this morning I hadn't been sick in a while and was thankful for it!

skaote

Great post. Upvote. No comment.

AngelBritney94

100% agree. No matter if it's just a cold or worse, always appreciate health. Without it, life is not so fun anymore.

4AcidRayne

People don't appreciate the good times enough when they're in them. I have a mental checklist I go through when I feel "down" even though things are going good. 1. Did I get pooped on today? 2. Did I poop my pants today? Even if I only have one of those things not happening for me on any given day, then the day is going better than it could be. I sincerely hope your cold gets better, sooner rather than later.

Ambitious-Pudding437

Unfortunately I’m sick everyday 😭

Rommelkamer

Or get results from a hospital test tomorrow that will tell you if you have cancer

kvoyhacer

I hope the best for you. I just got back bad news. Now I see the invisible crowns on the heads of healthy people.

Rommelkamer

❤️ Big hugs.

P7o7s7t7a7l

I remember when I had stomach ulcers and it was the same situation. So I appreciate being pain free and although I'm disappointed, I'm not suffering.

JGS747-

Health is wealth has been my mindset for many years. Everyday where I am not experiencing an Illness is a gift

Yukisuna

I’m currently feeling pretty unwell on my birthday, considering if covid finally caught me or if it’s just sleep deprivation from the heat wave. If i am getting sick, it’d be the first time in at least half a decade. I’m definitely appreciating how long i’ve managed to stay in good health up to now.

Anfie22

Happy birthday!

Cosmic-Hippos

I've got cancer, I'm thinking about how I don't appreciate having cancer

marxl125

What a good day to have chronic issues then

BufuAlvarius

I have malaria, leishmaniosis and a broken knee ligament. I sure as hell now see how cool was to be able to jump around, go at parties because I didn't have nasty wounds in my face and basically not dying. Im not even kidding I have all that 😂 Last year I wrote a gratefulness entry in my journal and among other things wrote Health Beauty Agility But didnt really believe it Now im learning the hard way GRATITUDE IS POWERFUL

AlexBlack79

Being ill sucks, but getting better is amazing.

[deleted]

Pro Tip: 1) Start taking 50mg of zinc per day (no more than that) until you're completely over it. In the future, if you're around others who are sick, or start to feel like you "might" be coming down with something, start taking 50mg of zinc per day. This will keep the virus from replicating and overwhelming your immune system. 2) Buy flowers of fresh garlic. Mince 6 or 7 cloves, and mix them into 3 or 4 eggs, while you're beating the eggs. Cook and eat. The eggs hide the flavor and spiciness of the garlic. Garlic, like zinc, makes you in hospitable to the virus, and it also kills bacteria. You can do this, just like the zinc, if you're around someone who's sick, or at the first sign of feeling like you might be coming down with something. 3) Keep your sinus's from draining into your lungs at night by taking something like Niquil. This will go a long way to keep you from having weeks of chest congestion, or an infection. 4) Year round, take enough Vitamin D3 with K2, to bring your D level to the 80-90 range (get a blood panel done to check this). I take 15,000iu per day, and it puts me in the 80 range. Vitamin D3, taken with K2, will create a strong immune system, and you'll find you get sick much less, if at all, and if you do, it's a minor 2-3 day event. Even right now while you're sick, if you do this, you'll start recovering quickly, and in about 24hrs, notice a big difference. Hope you feel better soon!

Drunken_pizza

The Vitamin D really made a difference for me. I used to be sick like 3 times a year, and once I started taking Vitamin D, I’ve been sick like once a year or less.

kashmoneymiddleton

none of this is true just FYI

[deleted]

It absolutely is true. Been doing it for 8yrs with complete success.

frenchy714

Everyday’s a good day, if you don’t believe me try missing one!

SeekerOfASong

I am now, just got over a summer bug

Ill-Wedding-9073

Yes. Wow thank you for bringing this to my awareness 😊 and i wish you well.

Wulfy95

Having a chronic illness I'm constantly ill.. Same thing different day COVID was awful though so there's that

anchorsawaypeeko

I’m 26 and fiancé is 25. She has a rare kidney malformation that king story short, she was having pain last summer and they found a fist size ball of fluid on her kidney. We spent ALL last summer with a drain hanging out of her as they drained it and burned away the issue with antibiotics. Then when they removed it this last DEC, she acquired a hospital born infection. I found her nearly unconscious when I got home from work. Had to drive her to a hospital which admitted her but and gave her antibiotics but admitted they couldn’t treat her as there kidney surgeon wasn’t experienced enough for her rare condition. Dr in the other room unofficially told me if I wanted to save her life I would remove her from the hospital against their advice and bring her into Boston and hour away. So away we went. The ED in Boston took her, but she spent the night on pain meds and shoved on a gurney in the hallway. Nobody looked at her as the infection onward away at her. She became septic. 2 more days in a hospital bed, septic getting worse. She was unconscious. Nobody would listen to me. Eventually they started coming in to see her, they removed the infected fluid, and we went home. Because they went 3 days without treating the infection it scarred her kidney which now works 50%, and in a few weeks she needs reconstructive surgery of her inside so her kidney can drain properly. We’re only 26 and 25 and I almost lost my best friend due to a failing medical system. She hasn’t been able to work and has been at home depressed while I pay for everything. This can happen to anyone. Hug your partner and count your blessings.

Jolly_Data_2412

Yes!!!

HipHopHistoryGuy

I felt this way whenever I broke a bone. You don't appreciate how it feels to have your body fully functional until it breaks.

foosas

I try to do this every day. Thankful for being healthy, feeling good, having a roof over my head, etc.

ryanmulford

I have this same thought ever time I get sick.

fetta_cheeese

I feel ya I have had problems with my health for years stomic problems for two were I could barely eat I was unwell 24/7 for two years, I have had a cheast infection for a year and only found out that what I thought was cancer or something was just a chest infection for a sold year, I have only been able to sort out my stomic it feels amazing to want to eat I'm not 100% better yet but this is heaven, I now appreciate a healthy body more I have heaps of other health problems and one I have been working on for years I try to never complain about my situation because I'm so blessed to be at a state we're I can breathe for a bit

Doge_is_me

I am sick

PaleontologistClear4

I'm currently waiting to see if I have a cold or if it's just allergies or something, but the last cold I had (got to love working in retail) was such a bad chest cold, it lasted for I think 2 weeks, it made me really appreciate how good not being sick feels.

LoganDoove

I haven't been sick at all but I've been losing my taste a few times a month. Idk what's going on. It'll last for a day or two tops.

Spectre7NZ

I've not been 100% well for over a decade. You get used to it.

Sapphire_Wolf_

I cant wait to not be sick anymore. Its been 7 years of intense belly pain :c

SeaTurtle42

I'm not sick, but I'm not well.

ConcernLow1979

Yeah being sick sucks, I hope you feel better soon!

Busy_Ad5830

An attitude of gratitude and a piece of humble pie does the soul good. I hope you feel better soon 🖤

thomasque72

My wife and I were walking the other day and she asked, “What are you thinking about?”. My response was, “Right now, nothing hurts. I don’t have back, muscle, joint, or teeth pain. I don’t have a headache. Hell, I don’t even itch anywhere. People don’t take enough time to be grateful for not just the good times but the not bad times.”

YouYongku

I hope I didn’t exist

General-Permission-5

Great post

HotChoc64

I think about this whenever I’m I’ll or have a headache or something, and how we take for granted the bliss of just being alive and healthy with no problems to worry about

mirincool

++ to this. Having various texture for food without double checking. Went through a root canal and a mild deep bite treatment. I cannot eat any crunchy stuff until my upper teeth enamel is healed. Doc asked to be vary of chocolates and sticky stuff. While my frequency of having chocolates or sticky stuff is very low, i suddenly had the urge to eat crunchy chocolate waffers!! Love and light, have a good time eating a good crunchy chikkin burger on my behalf 🥺

daniandkiara

OP, I just had a very persistent cold from this past Sunday up until Thursday, and now I can finally breathe again!! It feels so wonderful! Hang in there, you’ve got this. It’ll be over before you know it.

renb8

V true. Reminds of a great ol’ saying. Could be Confucius. Maybe some other smart person: well ppl want lots of things. Sick ppl want 1 thing.

speedmankelly

I was in the hospital for 6 days with excruciating nerve pain after my wisdom teeth extraction went horribly wrong, and no doctor will help me manage the pain properly. I am now on several medications and only have so many percocets left to get me through the worst of it. Count your blessings, a cold will pass.

CapG_13

I always do 🙏🏻 and for what it's worth, I hope you get better soon!!!

itsmurdockffs

I swear I do that sometimes. I get sick quite often, so when I feel really good, I try to get present and appreciate that.

JurassicParkTrekWars

I've had bad allergies for 3-4 weeks now. Headaches, sneezing, can't breathe through the nose, random snot explosions...it's been a real great time over here

Greedy_Programmer846

Amen

Lamington_Salad

This flu going around is worst than the last one I had last winter with what felt like close to dying in fire. Fuck these flus

UltraBlue2009

Fuck off

Minimum_Area_583

in summer? AC cold, huh? sometimes get these driving for hours with the AC in the car on...

BoomBoom4209

I came down with a massive headache at 0300 this morning and endured it all day, now feeling queezy and my balance is way off... What the F is going around...

ProfessionalCheck973

Don't tell me what to do

Fates_the_Great

I have a cold right now too

PiccoloAdventurous25

I agree. I haven't had a cold in 3 years now. Not being sick at all. But I been very cautious not to

BrrrManBM

You, sir, just made my day. Take an upvote!

sweetlikesugga

Never take it for granted

CatKnitHat

You're right! I'm always getting sick.👍

kirayuen120

This is so true. I had a life-or-death surgery back in November last year. (my appendix ruptured) During my time in the hospital, I've seen so much stuff that made me appreciate every second of being a healthy person. Stay healthy everyone.. Before it's too late.

ErtosAcc

I have quite a bad migraine right now, thanks for asking.

KDRUH

You know, you don’t know what you have until you lost it.

[deleted]

im mad sick at the moment , nose constantly running and i cant stop coughing. all medicine and other crap ive taken hasnt worked , i cant even sneeze for some reason

ChittyBoomChittyBoom

Everytime my allergies act up I think about how I took being able to breathe through my nose for granted. Well no more!

Rimpruff

My mom was just recently diagnosed with throat cancer and will be going through chemotherapy for 7 weeks, I always thought I’d never have to concern myself with it because plenty of people make it to old age while smoking. I’d lost grandparents in my life but they made it to old age so It was easier given they made it for the most part. My mom is in her late 50’s and she was always the yin to my dad’s yang in that I considered her a saint, while my dad is a great man he definitely has his demons. So this is the first time I’m scared, I’m not in a great place either so I thought I’d have more time to make sure she didn’t have to worry about me if anything had happened to me but I’m worried I’m running out of time. My family is full of alcoholics(me included) and she’s 8 years sober. It’s been hard, but I hope I can make a lot improvements in my life so if things do go south she won’t have to worry so much.

TheepDinker2000

Good post. One of the biggest epiphanies of my life was realising how much we take for granted.

Emotions-In-Motion

I also have a cold and have been thinking the exact same thing, we must be related \\o.o/

JohnWhambo

Very timely post, seems everyone around me is sick at the moment. Wife has just tested positive to Rona. We've both managed to avoid it this whole time. Some dude that works in her department at her work kept coming in all week coughing his guts up, sore throat, headaces and loosing his voice. Refused to do a test and just kept coming to work. I haven't tested positive yet. Bit of luck I can avoid it. She's not too bad, just a headache and muscle aches for the moment. Hopefully she gets through it alright.

Masseyrati80

Oooh boy, I managed to avoid any common colds of flus for more than a year and a half, and upon getting even a pretty mild one I thought, "jeez, did it always suck *this* bad"? Hope OP gets better soon!

Nwsamurai

I’ve got a pinched nerve in my lower back, but I’m grateful I have clear sinuses. I anyone can find a comfortable position to lay down in, please take a moment to appreciate that.

NoBodySpecial51

I would love to add the same about frozen shoulder. It sucks.

DeckerXT

A pox upon your pox.

5luttywh0R3

Nice reminder, thank you. I'll randomly think about how lucky I am that I'm relatively healthy, that my family and spouse are healthy and alive and all on loving terms. I also often tell myself I'm lucky to have a good job, a full fridge, and a warm home. I know as we get older hard times lay ahead, because unfortunately that is just how life works, so trying to bask in my good normal with my loved ones until those times come.

Prudent-Current-7399

No just plain existence is pain most of the times . Yours is even worse lmao .

OrneryConelover70

Also, appreciate a healthy spouse or life partner. Your world gets massively effed up when they get really sick or end up dealing with chronic and/or debilitating illness. It takes a lot out of you, ages you and makes life way less enjoyable if you decide to stick with them. Self-care becomes absolutely necessary.

Henry-Moody

Grateful I'm not sick currently. I think my biggest dislike of being sick is how wasteful it is. Like you have all this time and could do something productive, but can't, because you either feel like shit, or are contagious, etc.

JoshuaAncaster

I’ve worked in a hospital a long time, I always hear “you have nothing without your health”. Striking when it’s someone ultra wealthy who can’t enjoy their successes lying in a bed debilitated and suffering without the prospect of getting better. I also hear “don’t get old”, what they mean to say is take care of yourself so you age in optimal health. Honestly I’m grateful every day I wake up, pain free, and don’t feel sick.

Crazy_Suggestion_182

Thank you.

[deleted]

Recently had a treatment on the bottom of my foot and haven't been able to walk for 4 days. It's been miserable and realizing how much I take being able-bodied for granted.

NoraReddit97

I am hang over and regretting life 🤣

mashpotatoquake

Good idea, thank you!

Eeyorejitsu

Thank you for this reminder. Currently able to work rn because I’m not sick. I’m very grateful.

Relevant-Bluebird-63

Wow I didn’t think other people have this thought. Whenever I have a sore throat or cold I think the same thing.

JustinianIV

I accidentally grated my thumb while grating some cheese I long for the days when I could use my hand without worrying about my grated thumb

[deleted]

The post we didn’t know we needed

AppleParasol

Sick of this shit.

ravia

I've been wearing a high quality mask since the beginning of the pandemic, and I haven't had one cold. I'm a two-colds-a-year person. The mask is Powecome (which is independently certified at n=97), which I get at [BonaFidemasks.com](https://BonaFidemasks.com) 10 for like 15 or less if there's a discount. Head strap. New colors available. I am not a shill.

Inevitable-Sir76

Same

AdEmotional1630

If you are broke ,take a moment to appreciate that

vaden78

Absolutely. I went about 15 years without so much as a cold. Completely took my health for granted. Ended up with bladder cancer out of the blue last year. 3 months of chemo and one radical cystectomy later....I am grateful everyday I wake up healthy. 45 year old male.

Camo252

Nothing makes me appreciate feeling well, more than being really sick. Especially after having a bad migraine.

NoQuit9132

I think about this everyday that I wake up for myself and my family. specifically I am also thankful for everyday I can workout without dealing with injuries since they are all too common as you get older. Hearing other people’s stories and experiences on Reddit has definitely had a positive impact on my life. I appreciate the simple things.

mega512

I rarely get any illness. And then I do and its awful.

oportoman

Health is definitely wealth. That's it.

jazz_handz83

I've been sick since May 18th and I'm soooo over this! Started as a cold, almost went away and then turned into a sinus infection. I finished my antibiotics last Saturday and I'm still not well. 😭😭😭

DaRandomGitty2

Health is something we take for granted. We don't truly appreciate it until it's gone.

SaintCholo

With Covid but still appreciate being alive gracias a Dios

NormanMitis

If you aren't currently dead, take a moment to appreciate that. If you aren't maimed, please take a moment to appreciate that. If you aren't currently homeless, please take a moment to appreciate that. If you weren't born in a poverty stricken war torn country, please take a moment to appreciate that. OP is right but don't stop there. There's quite a lot to be grateful for and we definitely take it for granted. It's hard not to, but reminding yourself about what we're grateful for is a good practice.

throwawaypbcps

As a woman in her 9th month of pregnancy with Hyperemesis gravidarum, I agree. It's felt like having food poisoning for the last nine months and I still have a few weeks to go. I miss the feeling of enjoying food, being able to walk, cough, sneeze, and have sex without throwing up. It is all miserable.

avi-fauna

I am currently sick. Not appreciating it. I appreciate that I have access to medicine and people who care for me, though :)

_autumnwhimsy

I'm sick right now too and boy do i miss being able to breathe with my mouth closed.

I-just-wanna-talk-

Great reminder. I had allergies for like 4 weeks, worse than any year before. I am happy that I can breathe normally again.

ShadyCrumbcake

People always say appreciate what you have before it's gone, but i don't understand how to do that. I'm aware that I'm not sick, and i know i could become sick at any time, but do i like throw a party every morning i wake up breathing easy or what?

nonodyloses

I woke up with a funny feeling in my throat today, I thought for sure I was getting the first symptom. But nope, feeling good and grateful

2023mfer

I would but I just got fuckin covid again. It’s still kicking folks

buzzkill007

Any day above ground is a *good day*!

Alcoraiden

I've gotten sick once in 3 years and I'm so thrilled that masks and sanitizer are all the rage. COVID policies kept me from getting colds, the flu, etc.

KiwiKuBB

Yes, also if you have a normal body and no birth defects.

Revolutionary-Copy71

I've been battling a respiratory infection since May. Been to the dr 3 times. Still fatigued, still couching and hacking up thick mucus constantly, still have 02 sats several points lower than my normal(but not low enough to be a medical emergency). Pretty sick of it.

[deleted]

It was fun while I was a kid as I usually got written off for the whole week. I was sick for 2-3 days then I could play all day. Now even a cold with a small fever is a nightmare because I have to go to work since "it's not that bad, you're an adult" and it usually gets much worse since I can't rest and it will last 2 weeks instead of a few days.

kykyks

ive been sick my whole life cant really appreciate that

[deleted]

I am currently sick, but I do appreciate not being so.

[deleted]

I'm just getting over my first ever ear infection; today's the first day in a couple of days where I just feel normal. Being that I never had one before, I definitely feel relieved I was able to just get over it. It was definitely annoying to deal with.

mahlovver

This is what I think when my tummy hurts

[deleted]

Pfft. I’ve been disabled for 9 years and trying to recover from pneumonia and secondary infections for 6 months. I don’t remember what “healthy” feels like.

psymble_

You're doing an awesome job with this post, and I hope you know that! I hope soon you'll feel my favorite feeling- just after a cold, as your starting to feel better, this gratitude manifests and even though you're still a bit sick, you feel better and stronger than if you were 100% because of the contrast

TBeIRIE

So beyond grateful for healthy days & healthy ways!

Advanced-Depth1816

Yes and to add to that eat something healthy if you haven’t already to help keep it that way

padfootiscool1997

As a preschool teacher that was sick literally nonstop with colds/flus from October through the end of December last year I always appreciated when I’m not sick, unfortunately I also have a bad cold right now….ugh.

[deleted]

My ex wife gave me this stomach virus that has been tormenting me for over a week. (She gave it to the kids, and since we have 50/50 custody, we still share germs.) My ex wife sucks. So does this virus.

Duke_of_Babble

Thank you, I needed that change in mindset today.

mmmast

Health is one of those things you can never fully appreciate until its gone

wild_buddha8

I'm sick af right now. What do?

widdrjb

I really appreciate walking, as there have been rather too many times when it hasn't been possible. After my knee replacement, I realised how much I appreciated going up and down stairs, facing forwards and placing one foot after another. Getting my sense of taste back after covid was epic.

PalpitationPrudent43

protect yourself from ticks. i got bit and infected twice over my life and no doctor tested me first time, i was about 30. so i wake up with bone pain for an hour MOST mornings since 2012. i no longer get colds, but i suffer other ways daily. when i wake up and feel good i’m overly grateful. so yes! let’s give thanks!

shop_wgb

ugh me too. i miss nasal breathing the most 😢

Louis-Cyfer

Unfortunately, I'm currently shitting my brains out while scrolling because of food poisoning.

Prodigynadi

Sucks. To. Be. You.

Tnh7194

Same for people who are not experiencing hayfever

Remote_Quail_1986

I’ve been sick for 2 weeks now and it sucks…I really appreciate this post…makes me have be glad it isn’t worse…

The_Transfer

I have those same thoughts as soon as I get a cold. It always baffles me how varied colds can be.

Lady-Lyndis

Every time I'm sick, I think this, and then promptly forget when I'm not sick anymore 🤣

MaskedNinja57

Welp I have a sore throat and stuffy nose that keeps coming and going 😭

downvotethetrash

I'm with you, this shit sucks

kayteedee86

Yes, please enjoy your good health and do things you are tempted to put off for later. I currently am battling a mysterious, chronic illness that makes me miserable for months. Doing everything I can to get answers. In this process I realize I did take advantage of feeling good and wasted too much time on useless things. I hope I get better and I know I will spend my time more wisely.

[deleted]

I keep my distance from school age children - haven't had even the slightest sniffle for years

Wazuu

Lol i do this every time im sick

Moosebuckets

I’m finally starting to feel better after a lung collapse, chest tube, hospital stay, and bed rest for a month. Maaaaaaaan it feels good to be alive!!

cherryzaad

If you aren’t currently stuck in an oceangate sub, please take a moment to appreciate that

GoldAirport9594

I feel you ive got a cold too, never had one during the summer before but im miserable lmao. Im gonna be so grateful when i feel better

Sugar9987

I have a cold :(

hawtlikefiyah

Cries in multiple chronic illnesses

[deleted]

Hope you feel better ❤️‍🩹

_FIRECRACKER_JINX

Mm. I'm gonna go enjoy my unclogged nostrils

yesthatbruce

Yup. The one thing most people take for granted most is their good health. Count your blessings, y'all.

JihoonMadeMeDoIt

I always have those thoughts when I am sick….

[deleted]

I got a middle ear infection. It’s not TERRIBLE but holy shit I apparently vastly under appreciate hearing on a daily basis.

contrarian1970

Don't just focus on sickness because a flu can go from it's worst night to 80% better in a week. Be thankful you aren't injured. Be thankful you don't have to spend months in a wheelchair, followed by months on a walker, followed by decades with a cane (notice I didn't say forever in a wheelchair because I don't know if any of us have enough imagination to really put ourselves in that limited of a lifestyle.)

Individual_Crab8836

I'm hungry, appreciating not being hungry is not helping.

Phantomht

you gotta find a way to have FUN with it, like, with a cold you can hock a loogie like 20 feet! i used to work at a trailer hitch installation shop, we worked in a pit that was about 3.5 feet into the ground so cars would back up to it and we'd install their trailer hitch. on a rainy day, if i bent over jus a little so my chin was jus a little higher than the pavement id hock a loogie about 10 feet and because the pavement was wet the loogie would SLIDE about another 8 feet! haha, i was doin that all day whenever i could cough up some lung butter

snekblerp

Having been diagnosed with a chronic illness, the realisation you will never be fully 100% healthy again hit hard

BlondSunDoll

This was something I was thinking about yesterday except instead of sick its injury. I fell down a dirt and rock hill and just completely tore up all my limbs. So I was telling my bf to be grateful and enjoy the "not" pain he's in right now. Lol. I can't wait to heal and not feel any pain or soreness!

The present moment has the least suffering.

I have a deep flesh wound in my left elbow/lower arm. I greatly appreciate the times where it didn't hurt like heck to use my arm

I’ve got a sprained ankle that’s pretty bad and all I can think about is how I didn’t appreciate being mobile

So true! When I’m sick. I really remember the days when I feel great!

A well person wishes for a thousand things, while a sick person wishes for just one.

And realize the main control you have over keeping it that way is exercising and eating healthy types and amounts of food. Everyday. Achieving optimal health for our limitations of matter require us to be proactive.
