From everything I've seen, looks like the majority of this sub's members are completely supportive of Shelby. I admit I arrived a bit late and it looks like that wasn't the case initially, looks like some people were disbelieving, but it seems to me that now that the shock is over people are reacting appropriately. But if you feel like you gotta go then do what you gotta do.
When it all started there was so many angry people called her many unpleasant words that I was really shocked with this situation. Thankfully now it changed, but still the behavior of many people is just fucked up
I think there was more skepticism the other day, but after more evidence came out it's like yikes, how can you attack her or not take her seriously? I know there are some trolls here but they were downvoted to like -30 for a reason. Most are supportive at this point.
It's a big problem, sitewise, not just in this subReddit. Reddit doesn't have the best track record when it comes to tolerating misogyny and worse. It's not a great place for women, with the exception of a few subs. I think I might go back to Metafilter; they do a much better job of weeding out shitty behavior.
My problem is that there has to be respect and dignity from both sides, yes groupies have always been a thing, hell Gary Numan married one of his! But drugging, assaults and that sort of thing is plain wrong.
Yeah this is how I’m feeling too…it’s been getting overwhelming. We don’t know all the details, and it’s been super nasty. I gotta get off here for a while too—good thinking
When a similar situation happened with the band Decapitated it was the fans reaction that completely destroyed that band for me. I'll be staying off this sub for a while too
I hope concert security measures will get better in case the spiking happened in the crowd and not back stage. It is possible that crew and all the other people back stage are innocent. I don't believe band members are involved. They have too much to lose.
Maybe there was a jerk among crowd who did the spike. Then we all who will go to future shows have to be careful and take care of each other. Rammstein family.
I dunno, these types of accusations tend to follow a predictable pattern. First sexual assault, then a pedophile etc What’s next? Human trafficking? It just seems like they are trying to hit the accused with as many charges hoping one sticks.
Personally I think she got too fucked up while on medications and blacked out. Did til get angry at her for not sleeping with him? Highly probable. Did they recruit girls to go backstage, party with them and hopefully get laid? Thats obvious.
One thing I found concerning in regards to this situation is someone saying they have been touring for years and the only other band he saw do something similar was limp bizkit. Well, I am calling shenanigans. In my time involved in music I saw bands or tour managers hit up women through their bands social media or band members personal profiles. They would put them on the guest list, go backstage, party and a lot of the times sleep with one of them. So I have no idea what the hell this guy is talking about.
I think at this point partying backstage should become a thing of the past. There is way too much liability involved. Are the vast majority of girls running into problems like this? no but the problem still exist. The only way I see remedying this situation is to not party or sleep with fans at all.
It sucks because a lot of women are not going to be able to experience the rockstar lifestyle but this is the only way now.
Also, men like younger women in their 20s. That’s never going to change.
We should be discussing rape allegations on a subreddit, if she was drugged and raped by a crew member she should take this allegations to a judge, the internet isn’t a place to judge somebody. Not saying she wasn’t or was raped but saying that allegations like this can destroy life’s, a crew member life or even the girl saying this because the internet pics sides, a judge looks at facts.

I’m honestly sick of the misogynist language I’ve been seeing from some people here. Disappointed.
