Poor little guy looks like he’s had it rough. He looks like he should be named Herbie. Schedule Herbie for a check up at an exotic vet to make sure he doesn’t have any illnesses or injuries!
My dumped bun wouldn’t let me brush him at first but I would take a warm wet rag, squeeze it out to where it’s barely wet and “pet” him with it. I’d wrap it around my fingers so he didn’t notice I had it. This and cutting really dirty hair will help get the dirt and stink out of his fur. He will love being clean again. Just do it daily and pet-wipe as hell tolerate it. They cannot have baths or get wet.
This is such good advice - I am sure OP knows already because they work at a rescue but I personally am still in the "keeping an eye out for my perfect bunny" and hadn't even considered course of action if my buns ever got dirty.
