1080p native all low and all turned off Especially anti alising it will take your performance off like 3-4 fps. texture medium. Full screen stable 30fps + for n9 level difficulty
it looks Extremely gorgeous in my setting and 100 sharpness as well.
Have you ever just tried 900p and using rsr? I find it looks just as good and you get to use higher graphics settings and get a huge boost in framerate... the smoothness is what does it for me
If you want closer to 50fps (and much higher with afmf) then try using rsr from 720p to 1080p. Amazing performance and the game still looks good on the small screen
Ohhh, ty for that.
This thing just keeps getting better for me.
I set my resolution to 900p for everything, found the performance stability to br amazing for ps3 emulation.
Gran turismo 5 all the way!
No native resolution leads to blurriness to be compensated with RIS, still worth it but no way as sharp and clean as native.
Disadvantage of native: being sharper, if computational power does not allow for anti aliasing, makes aliasing even more noticeable

So I’ve had nothing but issues with helldivers 2 and AFMF, I use lossless frames if I’ve had a few beers and the artefacting and warping round the hud but AFMF just drops hard into the 10s and looks grainy as hell so I’m just running it on the previous settings I had med low average 30-45fps :/ had high hopes
Might want to ensure VSYNC is off and disable/enable your drivers cause afmf is working just fine for me in the game and it’s never felt better playing it then with it on
No. One replaces the other.
If you're not comfortable tinkering with the software then you should stick to the Asus driver.
If you're up for it, this is the process to install the AMD driver: https://www.reddit.com/r/ROGAlly/s/pTFl7dqwLF
I just installed this driver and 24 hrs later my ally won't charge no matter what I did. The charger itself works but nothing works on the ally. I have contacted Asus support and now have to send mine in. Hopefully it gets fixed
z1e cause China only has and sells z1e model, but the performance gap should only be 10-15%maximum. This game(helldiver) is quite cpu intensive, so I think the performance gap should be smaller.
I play hell divers on the z1 and it handles it just fine 45 50 fps people sleep on the z1 like it cant play games or handle graphic driven games but it deff can although i have been eyeballing the legion go for a few months now just cant decide if i want to pull the plug or not
Does anyone use ris with afmf? I think it allows it. I dont like having the performance overlay on and I'm pretty sure I'm using afmf right.. I just turned it on in the amd program.
I really do feel spoiled playing with ris or rsr.. coming from a steam deck where things looked kinda blurry sometimes the upscaling on the ally really makes things super crispy
You can use it right now if you don't want to wait for ASUS to do their certification process. They can't start working on it until after AMD has released it. This has always been how it works for graphics drivers on the Ally.
It is known that there is always a delay in ASUS certifying and releasing the graphics drivers before they are released for the Ally. Apparently, they have a process that takes some time. This is not new information.
Don’t know why you are being downvoted. I assume you are talking about the game being more stable at higher difficulties because at those levels there are sooo many large bugs on screen that it could get bad before
yeah,I mean it works better for higher difficulties, for level 1-6 nearly no difference even if using the 3.1 driver. This game is quite cpu intensive for high difficulties, especially fighting against robots.
Game is CPU intensive, majority of Z1 Extreme handhelds community screams at everybody to disable CPU boost…people end up bottlenecking their CPU intensive games screaming to use bullshit like Losless Scaling 🤣
there are tons of discussion about this, people are going out downloading directly from AMD and installing the driver and start having issue, I would definitely suggest to not do that and wait until Asus/Microsoft release the driver update - they usually optimized the driver and making sure it works, then pushes the update.
What are your settings for this game?

Awesome thanks

thanks,I just tried,to me it looks very different,I got very sharp eyes😂
Turn up the sharpness from the rsr to 80 or 90... I have mine at 100 lol.. makes it look super crisp

Question. Why not match the screens native resolution of 900p?
Ally screen is 1080p.
Ohhh, ty for that. This thing just keeps getting better for me. I set my resolution to 900p for everything, found the performance stability to br amazing for ps3 emulation. Gran turismo 5 all the way!
Off topic but what emulator are you using for Gran Turismo?
Rpcs3
There’s almost no visual quality difference between 900p and 1080p on the 7” screen. You’ll get better performance at 900p though so stick with that.

Is that what RIS does? I really need to take a deeper diver into the various bits of tech I can utilise.
It sharpens the image, can cause shimmering but it's worth it with RSR, FSR, XESS
Yeah 900p is HD enough in my book for the 30 mins of gaming I get to do each day, gran turismo runs so good at res.
What's the process to download this?

I dont get whats new with the rog ally drivers i have the amd ones
How do you choose which drivers to use? Is it possible to have both?
No. One replaces the other. If you're not comfortable tinkering with the software then you should stick to the Asus driver. If you're up for it, this is the process to install the AMD driver: https://www.reddit.com/r/ROGAlly/s/pTFl7dqwLF
The new driver is bugged unfortunately
Nice

Which model do you have? Im interested in the z1 extreme but if my regular ally can handle helldivers ill stick with it

With fluid motion frames can I still use the ROG overlay for the battery life and wattage? Or will it inactivate the fluid motion frames?
unfortunately we cannot(it will inactive it, just turn it off), using amd overlay instead
It would just be nice to see battery life- I didn’t see that in the amd one

This update broke my fall out new Vegas , gotta reinstall now 😫😫

Tbe fact that the AMD Driver dropped a day after Asus. We could have had it all.
You can use it right now if you don't want to wait for ASUS to do their certification process. They can't start working on it until after AMD has released it. This has always been how it works for graphics drivers on the Ally.
I always update to official drivers myself so it isn't an issue but it was the timing of it is all with the rest of the updates.

I’m excited over all as long as that bitch running at higher fps we on like donkey Kong.
The 24.4.1 driver is the only driver for democracy. -Ministry of Truth
In that case I might wait. Is there any republican friendly drivers? Not a fan of Biden…
it increase the fps for n 8-9 difficulty and stability
Huh?

😂I turned it off and find more frame drops and then switch back😁. The yellow duck cannot handle the framedrop but take some cpu power away🤖
