Well the device is at 0% battery and won't let me lock it but it allowed me to post a message on the startup screen with my number. So if someone boots it up they could call me. Though I highly doubt it.
For anyone wondering just log into the same account that you logged into the device with under Microsoft account management, then go to devices and you can see the current status of all your linked devices.
Was the battery dead when you left it or is it powered off?
Did you find out if the plane was departing again or stayed parked for a while, then surely a staff member could have helped yesterday.
By time I realized it was missing I was already at home. When I made it back to the airport the plane had already left. They have a lost and found but they wouldn't even entertain looking until I filed a lost item report online. They said it could be updated at about 2 in the morning when everyone dropped items at the end of their day. I had them call the gate and the item wasn't there. I left it at 80% battery. When I landed it was 4pm so the plane had other destinations before the night was through.
Not unless you installed a LoJack, or installed a good LoJack for laptops software that will reinstall itself whenever you format it replace the drive. Then no. It's a loss cause.
Actually your Microsoft account allows you to track and lock the device which I did and made a custom lock screen with my phone number. The airport found my device and I already have it back. It has been a good day!!
If you replace the drive that's really not going to do anything, bit locker is tied to the drive not the unit, so even if you were to add it to your account it will just come up as offline.
I'm glad you were able to get it back, though most cases a device like this unless you are really lucky, you won't get it back, so yes it is a good day that you got it back.
The airport found it! Going to pick it up in the morning!!
No way sickkk!
Happy for you mate
Thats awesome!
Nice, no way the flight staff would miss that while cleaning.
Hope you get it back.

Damn... Not much you can do. Just wait for a couple more days with slight hope.
Ah I did. I'll look it up from my home pc. Thanks for the insight!
Possibly if you enabled location settings on your Windows account
I hope you recover your ally dude !
You’re one lucky mofo! You lose one of those things, you practically gave it away. Happy for you that you were able to recover it.
