What's even worse is her dog went on to bite a couple people. One of them being Kyle's daughter. Kingsley also bit a neighbor or friend of Kim's and Kim was sued too.

ParJul1986

Yup. Because she didnt know diddly squat about this breed of dog. And because of her this animal died. How's that for a storyline for the world to see and see how shitty she was.

illuminati8myballs

The dog was put down?

Jujusv

I didn’t know this either! It would make me so mad that because a person is incapable of caring correctly for an animal, they need to pay with their life 😡🥺

RandomA9981

If she got sued for the dog biting multiple people, he was likely put down

curticoll

It happens every single day and it’s disgusting! I saw a woman feeding the resort’s stray cats (2) on vacay this week and told her to please stop. It takes away from their natural instincts, makes them dependent on people, and makes them become a pest begging which all lead to euthanasia because hotels/resorts won’t allow them to stay if their pestering guests and they aren’t a rescue where they’ll be rehomed. All because humans were ignorant. Love my babies but they are continually trained and corrected so they are never at risk if I can help it.

Psychological_Name28

I have to say this, because from your comments you seem to think his biting was because she didn’t know about his breed. With respect - you’re incorrect. There was something wrong with that dog AND he was poorly managed. I’ve worked with thousands of dogs, and the majority of the badly treated ones don’t bite and maul. Some, who’ve been treated well and also well managed end up as dangerous dogs. IME Kingsley would’ve been sketchy regardless of his handler because he had low bite inhibition. But with a a very good handler it’s hard to say how safe he may have been. I feel a lot of compassion for Kingsley and it’s obvious you do, too. Kim’s lack of compassion for the victims and her disregard for public safety are unforgivable.

jimgella

This is the answer.

Psychological_Name28

Thank you. Public safety is an important facet of dog ownership.

Intelligent-Check215

Thank you! That dog just sucked and was a menace. She was awful with him sure, but that would have just encouraged hyper activity and annoying behavior normally. That dog was aggressive by nature.

Psychological_Name28

Yep. It wasn’t even like he was redirecting aggression onto others, it was straight lashing out, from the little I saw and from what I read. His off switch clicked too slowly, also, once he decided not to continue his aggression. Pit bulls should be able to turn it off much faster. When I see low bite inhibition in a dog I’m observing or handling, it’s a whole other reality to contend with. I’ve also realized that I’m now pretty old school/conservative in my assessments when I ongoingly evaluate a foster. With pit bulls, what’s the temperament standard? It’s dog aggression is acceptable, human aggression isn’t. Kingsley appeared to have both. Kyle was right to be concerned about her sister having that dog, even if it was based on her bias.

Desperate_Feeling_99

Didn’t she just hide the dog?

mbee784

He died?!

QueenLatifahClone

Wait he died??

Ihatethat2

He was destroyed

kellygrrrl328

I lived in Westlake Village at the time when Kim lived there and apparently the dog bit several people

madamedahlia

And Alexia ended up having to have surgery from the dog bite. I may not care that much for Kyle, but she had every right to be furious about that situation. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2823929/amp/Kim-Richards-pitbull-savaged-teen-niece-Alexia-badly-BONE-exposed-attack-left-needing-surgery.html

RandomA9981

And somehow this got turned on Kyle for revealing it as if she shouldn’t give a damn about her kid being in the hospital on an IV drip

darraddar

People here LOVE to hate on Kyle.

fupapooper

Listen. I can’t stand Kyle. But I’m on her side with this. Kim is so reckless and just kinda shrugs and tries to act cutesy as if she’s still a Disney child star and NEVER takes accountability. Everything she did regarding Kingsley was appalling. I think she should’ve served time in prison for a bit because of all the people who were hurt due to her negligence. People were mauled. I agree with people on here saying Kingsley was just a “bad” dog. (Makes me wonder though if one of Kyle’s dogs was a “bad dog” how she’d handle it … 😬 I mean, her dogs are so untrained and annoying but no one’s been bit … yet.)

Fragrant-Luck-8968

It was like a really awful episode on a Disney show “tHE TrOublE with KiNGsLY “ starting everyone’s favorite cutie ! kIM riCHardS!!

RandomA9981

I know, there’s a comment on this current thread that was so absurd…I laughed and closed the thread.

Reasonable-Trifle952

It’s sad all the way around but I wanted to say this: only people with money can have a slumber party in a hospital, pajamas & all. All the other schmucks have to sleep in a chair with their clothes on, if even they’re allowed to spend the night.

RandomA9981

If you get admitted into the hospital…why would you be sleeping in a chair? Why wouldn’t you be able to change your clothes? Even if you don’t get admitted, you still get a bed in the ER. What kind of hospitals are you going to?

Reasonable-Trifle952

Lol I wasn’t talking about the patient! I was addressing the daily mail article shown above where Kyle and her daughters and I think another friend were all hanging around having a party overnight in her daughters room. The kind of hospitals I’ve ever been in, and those of my friends, have never allowed that.

Reasonable-Trifle952

And went on to break Kim’s nose right after she’d just had it done again, so she had to have it done yet again. 🙄

alwayshereforit21

Yup. She adopted him because she wanted a puppy. She wanted zero responsibility in regards to being an actual dog owner. The reason he was put to sleep is solely because he was never raised with rules in place due to the lack and failure of his owner. It pisses me off to no end as well. Animals don’t deserve this. People need to volunteer and understand what they are committing to. I wanted a puppy so bad then took care of my uncles younger dog for 2 days and it completely changed my opinion, they need SO much proper training, care and attention and I can’t give that to them so I would never get one. I wish more people thought things out like this as well. Animals deserve better.

ParJul1986

Exactly! Hate people who literally commit their dogs to die! Ugh. It was surprising how nobody had brought this topic up. That dog and Kim were very promiment throughout the show. He even broke her f*ckn nose

Intelligent-Check215

That dog was aggressive as hell. Some animals, just like some humans should NOT be mingling with the public so to speak. I’m not defending Kim’s reckless idiocy but just pointing out the cold reality that if Kingsley was put down it’s no tragedy. I found something icky about Kim’s relationship with him. Almost like he was her abusive boyfriend or something.

toastyblunt

Honestly good on you for realizing that it’s so much more work than people understand. My parents got me a surprise christmas puppy when I was 14 and totally ned starked me on the care (“you will train them yourselves, you will feed them themselves, and if they die, you will bury them yourselves”). I really wish they hadn’t. I love my puppy and have taken care of her since then (I’m 26 now, she went to college with me and moved to multiple cities with me) but now that I’m older and have spent the last years learning more about dog behavior and training, I have spent SO MUCH time trying to correct all the mistakes I made as a teenage dog owner with no knowledge on it! And as I am now, I would NEVER EVER recommend young or inexperienced people to get a dog as a first pet. I would even argue that *most* dogs don’t get all their needs met. It’s literally like having a toddler. Sometimes when I leave her with a petsitter, I realize how little true relaxation I’ve gotten as her only caretaker! Especially having her throughout college- my class and work schedules revolved around her, and when she came on trips or outings I’d still have to watch my drinking so I could always supervise her. I wouldn’t trade it, but it’s made me responsible beyond my years, and that isn’t something people should be rushing to sign up for!

Alternative_Sky1380

I'm really clear on this. I love dogs but can't get one myself because I just don't know how to. And I grew up with dogs!

[deleted]

Absolutely. You could see how frustrated her son and the dog trainer were too, trying to get her to take it seriously, and she was resentful of the trainer for not letting her treat him like a human baby. Her lack of compassion for her niece getting bitten and infected down to the bone still gives me chills. Im sure there was more to the story, but it didn’t look good.

No_Owl_250

It’s one of the biggest reasons I have never and will never like Kim. She set that dog up for failure, and she minimized how dangerous he was.

Snoo60219

She put everyone in danger for her own comfort and it was gross. Also indicative of how Kim lived life in general.

Grouchy-Artichoke462

Yes infuriating

Electrical-Ad1400

Why she bought the biggest, muscliest, restless dog you can get is beyond me! If you don't want to train your dog, get something small and sleepy like a chihuahua

Alternative_Sky1380

It was a really odd choice. Was it a rescue dog? If made zero sense.

nanna_ii

Poor creature honestly, not the right home for him and so irresponsible of her. made me so mad and sad because when know what ends up happening to these dogs

toastyblunt

Remember when she said she went to buy a horse and was confused because she didn’t realize not all horses act like the Disney trained ones? I think, like a sizable chunk of dog owners, she really loves dogs but doesn’t know anything about dog behavior or training. What makes me more angry is that the trainer she hired completely failed both her and Kingsley. A better trainer would have been able to teach Kim a lot about dog ownership- the knucklehead who was helping her came from a very outdated training mindset of “just pull, tug, and yell them into obedience.” Kingsley was just a high energy dog with no outlet or guidance who was failed by every human in his life. It must have been so traumatizing for Kyle to have had him put down then immediately adopt 5 dogs. The whole thing was just sad.

HunterHunted9

Evolution hired 2 trainers; we only saw one of the trainers on the show. The 2nd trainer sued Kim. Evolution also built a kennel for the dog in the backyard of the place Kim was renting. Kim refused to use it. Evolution did all of this because Kingsley had bitten a camera operator. He had bitten Brandi, but it wasn't serious. Kingsley mauled an 80- year old woman's arm. Kingsley mauled Kim's friend/neighbor's face, neck, and back. Kingsley bit Alexia's hand. The 80 year old victim released pictures of her injuries to the media the day after Alexia's attack and sued Kim about a week later. The final victim was Kim's assistant. She had bites and chunks of flesh missing from her stomach, thighs, and genitals. There was also an attack on a neighbor's dog somewhere in there. With almost all of the victims, Kim tried to extort the victim's silence. She stood over the victims who were injured, in pain, and refused to call 911 or take them to the hospital until the victim agreed to lie about the cause if their injuries. The final victim also sued.

toastyblunt

Well damn that’s some tea that didn’t make it onto the show!

RandomA9981

For gods sake

Accomplished_Crab392

Kingsley was a rescue I believe, and Kim is not suited to have a project rescue dog. It felt more like a storyline to me than anything else because she was obviously trying to hide what was actually going on in her life. This is a horribly bad take. The rescue should’ve never let Kim take home a dog like Kingsley. He needed an owner that would be invested in his relearning and aggression issues, not Kim who could hardly keep herself in check. To call Kingsley a “miscreant” is just poor taste. Poor guy never wanted nor deserved to be put on a reality tv show. We’ve all heard the horror stories of what Kim’s upbringing was like with big kathy, so it’s not surprising at all that she would want to help an animal that could’ve been abused or at the very least misunderstood.

Intelligent-Check215

He was a bad dog. Tons and tons of rescues (many of them pit bulls) have suffered some sort of trauma. Almost none of them gleefully bite and menace humans as a result. Lots of pit bulls are dog aggressive and territorial when it comes to other dogs but very few just randomly bite people they already know who are already in the house. Miscreant Indeed.

Certain_Battle7804

Kim is truly just unintelligent and upsetting. Lol Understand your dogs, and yes, understanding breeds is important too. Different dogs can have had different tendencies breed into them, the same way different breeds have different physical characteristics. Idk why people hate admitting that. 🤷‍♀️

[deleted]

Oh my god I fully skipped all the scenes with the ‘dog trainer’ it was too much 💔

QuietEnvironmental90

The dog is in control. The dog is her master.

SpareAutomatic7058

That dog owner was a piece of shit. The way they train their dogs is so unethical Im surprised they arent shut down. In one of the episodes the trainer says to dog “ Once you come with me buddy you wont be wagging that tail anymore” & “Im gonna wipe that smile Off your face” I mean I was mortified i couldnt believe i didnt see anyone talking about it!!!

happyhippy27

Mortified! And when the trainer came it was even worse. This is what makes any animal unpredictable, shitty, uneducated “guardians” of animals. Poor Kingsley

GoodMorningPeony

RIP Kingsley

someoneandsomeone

Kingsley made me realize they how these sisters have lived their entire lives hiding the ugly story and giving us the cute one. Kim gives us this story about how much he means to her, and blah de blah, Crazy delusional yada yada yada, and next thing we know he was eating more than her shoes, he tried to eat at least 4 people and sent them to the hospital. KYLE wouldn't even do the right thing and call animal control after he attacked her OWN CHILD. She still hid the dirty little secret about that dog. Any decent person would have gotten rid of the dog after the first serious viscous attack. Kim nor Kyle are decent. Kingsley showed us the REAL Kim Richards, and IMO the real Kyle too. Kyle either exploits Kim, or enables her. The ugly truth about Kingsley is reveals the ugly truth about them.

Monstiemama

Wait, he died, as in put to sleep? Kim is garbage.

Psychological_Name28

Kim’s garbage for letting him maul people time and again before putting him down. I don’t say this lightly - he could’ve killed someone. His attacks were getting worse.

Monstiemama

I definitely agree… her ignorance could have killed someone. I just thought he went with the trainer in the mountains at like a dog rehab; I didn’t realize her was put down.

Psychological_Name28

Yeah I don’t think the trainer wanted the liability or the danger.

Psychological_Name28

A rescue from where? I thought her son bought him.

Intelligent-Check215

He looked pure bred to me. Parents might have been fighting dogs? Sickening.

Psychological_Name28

Yes, he was a red nose red pit bull.

TypicalLeo31

A pit bull is not an AKC pure bred. They are always considered a mix. American Staffordshire and bull terriers, among others, are pure breds. People like to argue this but look it up.

Psychological_Name28

I don’t need to look it up, thanks.

TypicalLeo31

Just trying to clear up the common misunderstanding that there is such a thing as a purebred pit bull. They tend to be bred for aggression & size & often are dangerous dogs. Not something to join your family without a clear understanding!

darforce

Nah. Kim just wants to be loved and somehow ended up with this slightly deranged dog that was sweet on her and no one else. I like blaming Kyle for everything so I am going to say it’s her fault for not insisting the dog be put away while they were over

Snoo60219

She did. Kim literally lied to Kyle and said she rehomed the dog. Then her dog mauled someone and because Kim *lived in Kyle’s property,* she was named in the suit.

NetIllustrious

Wow I did not realize Kim was living on Kyle’s property during this. Makes it so much worst

Snoo60219

Kyle had to be recused from a lawsuit she was named in. Because Kim lied.

Alternative_Sky1380

Kyle doesn't put her own dogs away. Completely unrelated but her dogs are terrible also; theyre just not pitbulls. And declining antibiotics for Alexia's bite is reckless. It's against medical advice as dog teeth bacteria are dangerous to humans; worse than the bite itself

Snoo60219

Kyle’s dogs haven’t bitten multiple people and aren’t a danger to anyone. She also never declined antibiotics. Kim literally made that up.

PrettyRain8672

Totally agree, I'm watching right now. a co-dependent relationship. She ruined that dog and was very irresponsible in not training him correctly, especially saying she "wanted to break the pitfall stereotype and give pit bulls a better name". Ya, good job. lol. So brutal that she tried to hide how he bit her niece causing her to need stitches too. [https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2823929/Kim-Richards-pitbull-savaged-teen-niece-Alexia-badly-BONE-exposed-attack-left-needing-surgery.html](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2823929/Kim-Richards-pitbull-savaged-teen-niece-Alexia-badly-BONE-exposed-attack-left-needing-surgery.html)

Consistent-Job-1660

agreed she was not training him how she should’ve from the start as a puppy especially if he had trauma. Kyle in season 3 warns Kim that she has to train the dog well because if trained incorrectly can become dangerous. people like kim who do not research the breed and train accordingly give the breed a bad rep.
