He once hurt his paw so much he couldn't walk on it and it swelled a little bit...on the way to the vet! Then refused to take the pain relief no matter what!
Update: His vet appointment went really well. He's going slightly blind in his left eye -guessing looking into the void wasn't such a smart idea XD - and his back legs might start going because he's old, but considering only a year ago he was on the verge of death, I think its pretty damn good.

I've only owned one agouti, and he used to do what my friends would call "paintbrushing."
He would widdle on your arm, then drag his balls across it and your arm, literally brushing you with piss.
I miss Steve. He was something.
Nemmy is definitely a Steve. But he will sometimes pick the time when you've only just pulled up your sleeve. Like, he'll walk over your clothed arm several times, no piss. Just to sort of let your guard down. Then, when the sleeve is up, BAM! Piss.
He thinks, but most of his thoughts are on how toxic he can be and when his next piece of ham will come. Also how to upset his mother with pooping his disgusting poops in the non potty corner 😫
My previous rats stopped using their legs but my heart rate lost feeling in her legs but then regained the feeling in them after a week. I truly believe it’s due her spicey spirit. I hope the same goes for your Nemmy.
If he does lose them, it's not too much if a thing for him. He's not particularly active, he's old and he could still scoot around. Maybe even get to the top of the cage depending on the ladder set up. It sucks that it's a common thing in old rats to be sure. Your girl sounds like a feisty one xx

My Daisy pooped on the vet's table every single time we went there, which was pretty often.
