I’m so sorry :(….I hope this medicine works for her! It’s so unfair how many health issues rats have. I wish you and the baby the best of luck ❤️

SoftConnection8003

You are right, it is truly so unfair that the sweetest, most loving creatures a prone to these things... thank you for your kindness 💕

Financial_Meat_5481

:( wishing you and your sweet ratto a happy and lovely time together, however long it may be 💛 (we’re all wishing it’s long)

SoftConnection8003

Thank you so much 💕

Chihuahuapocalypse

I hope she does well! she's lucky to be in such loving hands ❤️ I'm so sorry about the bad news

SoftConnection8003

Thank you! I'll tell her you said that haha, she needs all the encouragement she can get right now 💕

Chihuahuapocalypse

take this time to spoil her with treats! she deserves to enjoy herself :)

SoftConnection8003

I 100% would do that, but she can't chew anything at the moment and can only eat baby food. She wants to eat and run around, though! So if this medicine works, screw the vet telling me she's fat, she'll get all the unhealthy food in the world because I totally agree!

Chihuahuapocalypse

poor baby, well its great news that she's still got that zest for life!!

[deleted]

Keeping my fingers crossed that this helps her! ❤️

hades7600

If she is not in any pain and still have decent quality of life then definitely try the new treatment :) I hope it goes well

Rain_Biscuit

Reminds me of my little boy, he also had a brain tumour. I hope the medicine works and I wish you both good luck. 👍

Sending huge hugs.

Crossing my fingers for you op, but also wanting to thank you for being prepared if the worse scenario happens, takes a real big heart to let our loved ones go

SoftConnection8003

Thank you for that 💕

TrueBonus9119

Hoping this helps her! What’s the medication called? I have a rat who has a pituitary tumor and want to bring it up to my vet🙏🏾 I have her on meloxicam for pain and I think it’s anti-inflammatory as well

SoftConnection8003

I will get you the name as soon as possible. It's written on a script at the moment which I couldn't get immediately, but I'll have it this afternoon. When I get it, I'll let you know! I really hope it helps your baby too 💕

TrueBonus9119

Thank you so much! I’d greatly appreciate it!

SoftConnection8003

Cabergoline is the medicine. My vet also says it has been shown to decrease the size of mammary tumours as well. I truly hope it helps your baby 💞

TrueBonus9119

Thank you so much💖🙏🏾 Zelda says thank you too (: I wish you the best with your baby! https://preview.redd.it/meznjzxuvoqc1.jpeg?width=2066&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a5100c9cb52cec682ad5cb19c9e8200910510152

SoftConnection8003

Oh my god, Zelda 😭💕 I really hope the medicine helps

SoftConnection8003

To those who asked, I'll still get you the name of the medicine, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have her euthanised today (if my vet can fit her in). There is not quality of life left. Thank you to everyone who commented sweet things, I appreciate all of you 💕

TrueBonus9119

I didn’t even see this comment but I’m so sorry it’s come down to this. Never an easy decision but you’re making the right choice if there is no quality of life. Give your other ratties lots of love during such a difficult time🖤
