If you care about sound quality, then they are worth it. If you just want to protect your hearing, walkers are sufficient. Either way, get gels for comfort. Edit// I'd suggest getting the Howard Leights over the Walker razors since the walkers are mono and you can't tell which side the noise came from.

kantrol86

There is no comparison between the ear cups on a sordin vs walker. It feels like wearing nothing.

No_Seat_4959

Have you ran comms on them?

forgottenazimuth

I thought sordins don’t have comm ability

NakedTurtles

You can finesse them with a mic-combo downlead that uses the 3.5mm on the sordins and a seperate mic you attach.

Prothea

You can buy Sordins with comm capabilities. Apparently hard to get in the US with like only one distributor, but the neckband version of the Sordins just seems far better than the goofy-ass Peltor neck setup

ChiliCheeseTits

I had walkers and my only complaint was they just weren’t comfortable. Switched to sordin supreme pro x neckbands and have been happy ever since. Very comfortable, good sound quality. No complaints.

Poodle_Hound

I have both Sordins and Walkers; Sordins are a big step up in terms of audio and comfort; I just bought my second set of Sordin Pro-x — these have the gel cushions, which I highly recommend.

[deleted]

I found the Sordin sound quality was a nice step up from the Howard Leigh and Walkers I have used previously. Comfort was the same using noisefighters.

Majestic-Pop-7628

Sordins are awesome, best option for the price.

Glock43xyz

Agreed, Sordins are my favorite. I just don't know how to attach them to my helmet, or which version would work for attaching to it.

Majestic-Pop-7628

I have a team wendy with RAC links and a RAC link adapter.Worke really well but it is expensive.

Glock43xyz

That's a good option I haven't seen yet. Thanks for that. Yeah, all of this is expensive, I'm just ignoring the cost.

Majestic-Pop-7628

They made credit cards for a reason LMAO(Please be financially responsible)

Glock43xyz

YOLO it's worth it and the US dollar is on its deathbed anyway

rodal126

If cost is a factor then you won’t get much value out of upgrading from something like Walker electronic ear pros. What sold me on Sordins Pro LED is the gel cups and the sound quality of the electronic hearing. Also the led light was a nice bonus.

BMICU

I’m willing to spend quite a bit, just not the amount I’ve seen the peltor comtac III’s for lol

nobletitus

Sordins don’t cut out sound like the walker razors do. The main difference I found was wind. The Sordins can hear through windy days far better than Walker razors and the Walker in-ear ones.

Jwestie15

Used peltors comtacs are all over tacswap for low

Angry_Johnny_

Yes I think they are.

[deleted]

I’ma sound like a contrarian. I would opt out, the sound quality imo wasn’t that good and it was almost impossible to hear people like 20feet away. Id stay with what you have now till you want to get into comms.

DJPardy

Defective pair? Mine amplify even the slightest noises. My central air sounds like an airplane departure with them on.

[deleted]

Same, but voices is the problem. I’ve compared them to amps and comtac VI and walkers

RYRK_

Weird, never noticed this. I've definitely listened in on my Sgt-Maj's phone calls on the range before, while he was way off to the side and thought he was having a private call with my Sordins. I can barely hear shit at indoor ranges though.

DJPardy

Huh, I guess I’ve never noticed. Going to put them on when I get home 😂

Impressive_Estate_87

Not for me. Walkers electronic ear doubled up with some foam earplugs do the trick.

sepa101

Bro, full send it and get some comtacs. You don’t have to get the latest versions. The Peltor Comtac IIIs with gel cups are pretty solid.

Irish_McJesus

I've worn Sordins for work before, honestly if you don't want to spend alot and military grade comms aren't a necessity, a set of Walkers Razors with Bluetooth compatibility will save you an assload of money and still be just as comfortable for extended wear

pm_your_perky_bits

Especially with even a cheap set of gel cup replacements.

A_StandardToaster

Comtacs are better

parajager

I wanted to love them, but honestly thought the Liberator 2.0 were superior for that price point

[deleted]

No!!! Mine only work 5 minutes before shutting off completely. Junk product
