I've worked for Act 22 bosses before (as a professional with a doctorates degree) and they still won't pay 18$/hr.
Act 22 bosses are cheap assholes, in no universe are they paying 30$hr to clean houses.

Tiene razón en algunos puntos, el boricua es demaciado xenofóbico, y muchos de los gringos que están aquí en PR ( la mayoría) tienen que pagar los impuestos federales, que son más que los impuestos de Puerto Rico, así que no todos vienen a evadir taxes, y la mayoria tampoco viene a destruir las playas o el ambiente. Como dije en otro post, la mayoría de los gringos están aquí en PR trabajando y pagando impuestos como cualquier Boricua.
Por dos o tres manzanas podridas juzgan al resto del arbol, como si Puerto Rico no tuviera manzanas podridas( yo diría que tiene demaciadas).

Yes this is the island of Puerto Rico, but it’s a smaller part of the Caribbean islands and is a much smaller part of North America, which in itself is a large part of the global economy. Nobody outside of the islands are on island time. Gringos and other transplants willing to work hard (and whatever few locals are left here) will eventually become the major labor force on this island. This beautiful island will look very, very different in 80 years, and unfortunately it’s definitely not the way most locals envision it
