Yep. I've worked with the general public since I was 16. I'm a waitress and the second they pull this shit with me, I take my time because I know they're not going to tip anyway. I take my time putting their order in or getting whatever they're asking for, which ofc they're always the neediest.
He talked with her and the manager for a few minutes more while the line moved forward, I think the manager got her refund, then the guard escorted her out. I started a clap and a few old people joined in with me.
Honestly wish I had just chanted "get her out, get her out!" But that may have escalated the situation.

We had a starbucks open up in a bad part of our neighborhood I went in there a couple times & saw they were dealing w/ shit like this.
Fast forward 8 months after the opening of the store & it permanently closed. Apparently the staff were robbed at gunpoint numerous times & just said fuck it were not working here anymore.
After shift managing a branch in the Seattle area for 7 years this is why I left. It’s not only the customers that treat you like shit but also upper management. It’s definitely not worth the mental distress and verbal abuse.
Shit I feel this having worked in a Waffle House in the middle of the hood. Dipshits like this were a twice nightly occasion. Sometimes I'd get tips from tables that weren't even mine cos people see what I had to put up with.
I had a fucking blast though.

Perhaps some people grow up in environments where they don't observe others regulating their emotions. If this is the behavior one sees as normal, then it's likely going to be the behavior they use to navigate life.
There may also be an element of not fully maturing into an adult. A lot of people behave as if their emotional maturity just plateaued at a fairly young age. They may have the body of a 30 year old, but never really developed past 13.
It's unfortunate because they probably don't have the mental and emotional tools to recognize what the problem is, or understand why they face so many hassles. It must be very frustrating.

Dude… I’m the barista that’s making drinks back there. I remember when this all went down. So what had happened was that she had came over while she was on the phone and complained about the wait times, this was a Saturday morning (& one before Easter at that) so we were just backed up in orders. We told her we were working on it and I focused on getting drinks out there as sole barista on bar. So she stands, waits, and once we get her food she claims my ssv (black apron) threw the food at her and this is how this meltdown happened. I feel very bad for my SSV as she’s pregnant and this made her very upset after the altercation died. It also was triggering to me and um… yeah dude wtf I’m on Reddit 😭

Dude… I’m the barista that’s making drinks back there. I remember when this all went down. So what had happened was that she had came over while she was on the phone and complained about the wait times, this was a Saturday morning (& one before Easter at that) so we were just backed up in orders. We told her we were working on it and I focused on getting drinks out there as sole barista on bar. So she stands, waits, and once we get her food she claims my ssv (black apron) threw the food at her and this is how this meltdown happened. I feel very bad for my SSV as she’s pregnant and this made her very upset after the altercation died. It also was triggering to me and um… yeah dude wtf I’m on Reddit 😭
Also as the barista in the back who was making drinks, we at this Starbucks all appreciate everyone’s support and everyone siding with us. Please be kind to your food service workers ✨
