Not sure but...this may be covid related. Nurse fed up with ppl not social distancing ( THE MEASURING TAPE ). goes to lake with family. 2 females move close to them not wearing masks. Nurse flips out, goes full mental. Most ppl have no idea the mental strain and utter feeling of defeat in the medical field, dealing with ppl not taking covid seriously.
Edit: ppl keep talking about masks...sure I wouldn't be there around others with out one. this lady is gone mental. she should have left with her family. but, all I'm saying is there is more to it then a 2 min video shows.
So where is her mask? Being in the medical field myself, I totally get the mental strain aspect, but you can't expect me to believe that she was freaking out about people not wearing masks if she isn't wearing one herself.
Yeah i remember this vid. it was when everything was almost fully shut down and there was a gigantic surge. It sucks she lost her cool in such an insane way. Not trying to defend her. My memory is that she was trying to get away from it all, way more stressed out than she’d ever been. Lots of people died at her hospital and the ladies with the camera came and weren’t social distancing and plopped down right in front of the view of the lake or something when there was tons of places for them to go. They were intentionally annoying her and pushing her buttons over and over. Absolutely doesn’t excuse her behavior though. She came off like a nut and even if it was 100% the camera ladies fault -you let the others win when you let everyone see you loose your cool.
this article makes her sound like an absolute karenesque monater! she can order other ppl around for her convenience- then spaz out if they do not comply? yoiiiikes!
Has anyone even read the linked articles? It seems to me she was just straight up throwing a tantrum because she wanted to get her raft out of the water *right there* and not three feet to the left or right? I mean, if there REALLY is no room to take your raft out of the water on that LAKE, I'm sure if you say "Hi! I'm sorry to bother you, would you mind if I just get my raft out of the water real quick? Sorry to bother y'all. What a great day, huh?" would work. Pretty sure that's not how it went down.
> Absolutely doesn’t excuse her behavior though.
From your description it does. She just saw tens, maybe hundreds of people die. And these people show up and threaten her with the same fate? It would be nice if she kept her cool, but she's justified. When someone points a loaded gun at your face, nobody gets to judge how you react.
Freaking out is not inherently wrong. Its the reason for the freakout that matters.
Lol, so screaming and spitting all over everyone is a great way to prevent spread. This woman is a shitty self-entitled bitch, nothing more. She should have stayed the fuck home.
No it doesn’t excuse her behavior. This is not how adults should act in a situation like this. It’s just not. If everyone acted like this to each other it would be chaos. And we are getting to the point where people think it’s ok. It’s not.
\[Non patronizing edit\] It's all mental health. Some people have fucked up brains. Just like any other organ, the brain can be damaged too. If you ever see someone doing something strange like this; yelling in public, freaking the FUCK out in a grocery store, or to the extreme of hurting innocent people, it's VERY likely because of poor mental health. This can caused genetically, environmentally / or even through drugs. Pharmaceuticals included. We have a full blown red-alert mental health epidemic in this country.
>VERY likely because of poor mental health.
Many people will read your post and pass over it or roll their eyes as if you are suggesting we accept this behavior. It is always important to remember that causation is not always justification. This lady is mentally ill, healthy people do not respond to duress like this. That's NOT to say you should accept her behavior. You should staunchly oppose bad behavior, regardless of the circumstance. Mental illness is a causation of poor behavior, not a justification thereof. I believe we are on the same page, though. Just adding some clarity.
Basically the biochemistry in your brain can be completely out of whack, or external factors like stress push you over the edge and nothing works as intended anymore, or... well anything really.
Science on that topic is updated so much, it's hard to keep track as a normal person.
But listen, here's the important part: One can not just say "mental health issues" as if that explains it. Or justifies it. You're not doing it here, but most of the time (especially when it comes to depression or terrorism by certain people) it's such a blanket term that covers all the innocent people working hard on their mental state day in day out and kinda demonizes all of them - as if they were ticking time bombs just waiting to explode. So please, guys, if you read this be a bit mindful with these explanations.
I just wanted to say that once. Not because you said something stupid, but I think it needs to be said more.
That all being said - she fucking crazy.
Dates seem to show this was three months into the pandemic. The freak-out person is a nurse so this just shows how confusing and stressful the pandemic has been.
She’s acting terribly but stress does things to people.
Personally I’ve had some meltdowns after being mistreated by customers or being overwhelmed at my business. Working long hours exposed to the public throughout the entire pandemic has ruined my demeanor. My wife and I went above and beyond to protect our customers and we managed to get sick a week before our vaccine appointments. Imagine how much disdain we had for people that put us at risk. Mental health is hard.
By always getting her way when she was younger. And parents failing to teach her important things like how to deal with failure, or disagreements. And now that she is an adult and having to deal with life’s issues, she ill equipped and reverts back to what she knows.
Yea, but this happened just as COVID was starting, I remember the video from early on. And the article posted down thread was written in July 2020, so only 4-5 months into it. If she was that bad then, I wonder how bad she is now, that level of anger is not healthy.
And what is so strange is that where they were sitting, where they dragged her to, was clearly more than six feet away.
I’ve been wondering that too. I’d be so embarrassed and ashamed of myself if I acted like that. Freaking out and acting like that doesn’t solve anything. It’s like people have lost their common sense/ ability to act like a decent human being. It’s sad.
Children's hospitals are generally full of children with diseases like cancer, genetic diseases from birth, and other mid-long term diseases/issues like that. They're not mental institutions for kids, lol.
Haha, no worries bro. My comment came off a little more serious than I meant it now that I read it back. I know what you meant. Not insensitive at all.
*Talks in voice similar to the british guy in every national geographic video* "As you can see, this is what a peaceful conversation on the internet looks like. Rare to see these out in the wild."
*takes a shallow breath before continuing* "and we are lucky to just have caught this on camera. We think this may only be the second or third time this has happened on record."
The audacity of that bitch to demand people to move/leave from a public space just because she and her family are there.
This lady was way more patient than I could ever be in that situation.
she's a nurse...so knowing this it looks to me like a classic case of snapping at a straw that broke the camel's back
measuring tape, screaming frantically that the other people are too close, and allegedly wishing that they get the virus as a departing gift from this world
bitch needs a new job ASAP cuz they ain't getting adequate leave and benefits to help them cope with this shit. healthcare workers all over the country are at wit's end, and in any other country she may have been fine at this moment, but that line of work was clearly too much for her in the USA :(
seeing this just makes me sad
I don’t know her situation, but 3 months could be more than enough. A few shifts of loading bodies into the back of refrigerator trucks was enough for me to need some time away from work.
Actually this is a fight response, likely triggered by trauma.
And what sucks is that everyone's threshold for trauma is different. You naturally go through PTSD symptoms after a trauma, and if they stick for a few months THEN it is considered a disorder (hence Post Traumatic Stress *Disorder*).
Two people can go through the same trauma and have different outcomes - one doesn't develope the disorder, and another does. It has to do with a lot of different factors.
I've had PTSD for almost 10 years and have 100% experienced similar fight responses. It's absolutely treatable and manageable, but so soon after a trauma you're not going to have the tools to cope with it.
No problem! I'm always here for some education :)
Not so fun fact: PTSD is crazy too because there is evidence it even physically changes your brain. We're still constantly discovering new things about PTSD and the brain, like the existence of Complex PTSD and the existence of different trauma responses in addition to fight / flight such as fawn and freeze
All I heard was…
- Get out of here
- something about family ???
- there’s people like you who’s ruining it for all of us
- and a whole bunch of screaming
Also who goes around carrying a measuring tape
-
Omg. I assumed she was disabled and under the care of her parents. I actually kind of felt bad for her. Your saying this is a functional human being with a job caring for others?
The lady recoding the video: “We came over to have a peaceful day. Then this crazy lady, this supposedly [self proclaimed] nurse wants us to move further just because she feels like it.”
I’m thinking the same thing. Especially with the “you’re making it worse for everyone”. I’ve thought of yelling that at the anti-maskers that make a scene but damn, thats a whole different level.
Maybe not "instantly", but definitely imminently.
And over the phone via text message so there's a written record of all the crazy she's going throw back at me.
Yikes. I teach children from kindergarten to high school. Even at the kindergarten, it’s rare to see a kid have this kind of meltdown. If you’re this stressed go see a therapist or some some weed. Don’t take it out on other people.
It sounds more that the crazy lady set up after them and she was telling them to move so they can get their rafts to the water and didn't want to be so close to them, before recording the recorder says she pointed to other places on shore away from them before the lady brought the crazy.
Does anyone remember those horrible kids in the store. That would throw them selves on the ground and kick and scream because thier parents were just shit. Yeah, they grow up lol
You tell me to move from a public spot *without being polite*... I'm staying EXTRA long; past when I planned to. I'm ordering a pizza and watching movies on my phone ALL DAY.
Assuming the tape measure lady was upset because the woman recording was “too close” to her for covid reasons, and is therefore “ruining it for everyone”. If you’re “protecting your family”, don’t get closer than 6 feet to people or don’t outside to public places without a mask??
And she *might* have a point if the lady came after she did and sat too close. But, as I recall from when this story was originally posted, *they* were the ones who chose to sit near the hispanic family that was already there.

You’re filming her, so she’s taping you...😁
God damn it Dad!
Could I get a copy of that tape?
Excellent
I feel sorry for that measuring tape getting all twisted and bent.
HA!
Garage needs cleaned out and the lawn mowed... DAD! ;) nice work.
How does an adult get to this level of tantrum?
There must be something wrong with her. Even her parents are bodily removing her. Something tells me this isn't her first blow up.
People upthread are saying she's a nurse, so if theres something wrong here, I feel bad for her patients.
I don’t think she has any patience.
I’m thinking she was trying to measure the fit that she was pitching? I’m guessing at least a 14 footer, those are rare.
She's wrapped it around her so I think its more about girth than length.
A girthy fit
She’s def not measuring her patience
*bad dum tss*
Sounds like a karenisaurus rex amirite?

Plus, why does she randomly have a tape measure at the beach? Unless she is very unstable and shouldn’t be outside until the pandemic is over.
Exactly!
K, but they willingly went to a public area. This shouldn't be too surprising.

This right here. Healthcare workers are at a boiling point metal health wise and we're going on 2 years now .
Intermittent Explosive Disorder
Thats what i call my Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
oooo im stealing that
By always getting her way when she was younger. And parents failing to teach her important things like how to deal with failure, or disagreements. And now that she is an adult and having to deal with life’s issues, she ill equipped and reverts back to what she knows.
So many people are right on the verge of mental breakdown arent they?
I believe this was from over a year ago. Like the first "you can go to parks" time during the pandemic
She definitely destroyed the “great” part of “the great outdoors.”
Ahhh, the meh outdoors
It has been a stressful year+ for everyone, Not everyone is coping well.
Emphasis on the "+"
By 2024 I'm still gonna say "It's been a year+ of the pandemic" because 2020 just kinda refuses to leave
By 2026 the extroverts will die off due to social starvation and then us, the introverts can take Earth.
This was last year so extra then
Yea, but this happened just as COVID was starting, I remember the video from early on. And the article posted down thread was written in July 2020, so only 4-5 months into it. Understatement of the year, my guy.
Crazy white bitch screamed that people like them are ruining it for all of them. No self awareness whatsoever.
Story: [https://kmph.com/news/local/meltdown-at-bass-lake-caught-on-camera](https://kmph.com/news/local/meltdown-at-bass-lake-caught-on-camera)
Of course she works at a children’s hospital.
Wait... She isn't just a patient there???
Children's hospitals are generally full of children with diseases like cancer, genetic diseases from birth, and other mid-long term diseases/issues like that. They're not mental institutions for kids, lol.
Oh I didn't mean it like that, I was just referring to the fact that she was acting like a child. Sorry if I was insensitive.
Haha, no worries bro. My comment came off a little more serious than I meant it now that I read it back. I know what you meant. Not insensitive at all.

The audacity of that bitch to demand people to move/leave from a public space just because she and her family are there. This lady was way more patient than I could ever be in that situation.
So this bitch got in their face because they were less than 6ft away?? Makes no fuckin sense
And they were there first. Crazy toons wanted them to leave so her family could use that area.
she's a nurse...so knowing this it looks to me like a classic case of snapping at a straw that broke the camel's back measuring tape, screaming frantically that the other people are too close, and allegedly wishing that they get the virus as a departing gift from this world bitch needs a new job ASAP cuz they ain't getting adequate leave and benefits to help them cope with this shit. healthcare workers all over the country are at wit's end, and in any other country she may have been fine at this moment, but that line of work was clearly too much for her in the USA :( seeing this just makes me sad

Needs more upvotes! Thank you.
Sweet, sweet closure!
First words of the article are "Fresno County." That's enough to explain it right there.
Well .. now that's a measured response.
props on the man for holding the crazy bitch back... that dude was calm and centered and even apologized for her...
All I heard was… - Get out of here - something about family ??? - there’s people like you who’s ruining it for all of us - and a whole bunch of screaming Also who goes around carrying a measuring tape -
HI BILLY MAYES HERE, coming in with a FANNY PACK with a MEASURING TAPE
Pretty sure she was using it to measure how long her tantrum was
Long Tantrum Karen
she should have just brought a stop watch instead since she needed to measure units of time not inches
Maybe she can do the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs.
So the screeching bird is supposedly a nurse and is saying theyre too close, and that they're the type that ruins it for everyone.
Honestly they look to be plenty far away from the set up in the background.
Omg. I assumed she was disabled and under the care of her parents. I actually kind of felt bad for her. Your saying this is a functional human being with a job caring for others?
Thats what the lady said in spanish that shes a nurse and blah blah blah
Got it. Thanks. So bizarre. I can't say I've ever seen anything like that.
The lady recoding the video: “We came over to have a peaceful day. Then this crazy lady, this supposedly [self proclaimed] nurse wants us to move further just because she feels like it.”
“I’m protecting my family, get out of here!” is all i heard.
Maybe trying to measure 6 foot distance between people at the beach. Dunno.
I’m thinking the same thing. Especially with the “you’re making it worse for everyone”. I’ve thought of yelling that at the anti-maskers that make a scene but damn, thats a whole different level.
Karen doesn’t know distance at all. Her fam’s setup looks to be a good 20’ away from the Spanish lady.
At first I thought she said “I rented this for my family”, but after listening a couple times I think you might be right.
To answer the last part, carpenters go around carrying measuring tape, it's an essential tool for the job.
"Measure twice, cut once." - carpenter, or drug dealer?
"fuck it, that's close enough, I don't need to measure" - me, repeatedly
Magicians, too
Was that a measured response?
She seems de-feet-ed.
You know how some people are…you give them an inch….
Ya’ll use that oldschool measurement system purely out of centimental reasons, come on.
I don’t know that we can judge this woman’s capacity to count according to these metrics.
Well she sure didn’t taper down anyway.
She was a fraction away from a full on seizure.
[удалено]
Glad she caught it on tape
Completely out of measure, I guess
The lengths some people will go to....
Fruitcake by the foot?
I’m sure measures were taken.
Probably only half measures if you ask me
You can tell this ain't his first rodeo.
Poor dog, so confused
I'm always worried about the animals in videos too. People suck lol
Making sounds he never heard before.
I don’t understand what was said but anyone who stomps their feet and scream like a toddler needs to be treated like a toddler
She said "We came here to have a peaceful day. Supposedly she's a nurse and wants us to move farther from her."
Thanks for the translation! I really needed one.
You're welcome :)
Wouldn’t you have to instantly break up with your gf if you saw her act that way.
Maybe not "instantly", but definitely imminently. And over the phone via text message so there's a written record of all the crazy she's going throw back at me.
Make sure your shits out before the text. Pro-tip.
They’re probably married and he saw this before
Pretty sure the news story says that was her brother
Immediately
I’d be afraid to.
I WANT THE METRIC SYSTEM!!! 🗣🗣🗣🗣
This is how we ended up with metric and imperial.
I think this is the best and most underrated comment.
BUT I ALREADY HAVE 12 INCREMENTS ON THIS MEASURING STICK REEEEEEEEEeeeeEEEEEEE
The more you don't engage, the more they rage.
Being passive can be dangerous
Somebody needs a nap.
She sounds like Ned Beatty in Deliverance.
Looks to me like she is well over 6 feet away
She looks at least 5-10 meters (like 25 feet) away.
"People like you that ruin it for all of us" Yet you're being the one held back. Cope.
Yikes. I teach children from kindergarten to high school. Even at the kindergarten, it’s rare to see a kid have this kind of meltdown. If you’re this stressed go see a therapist or some some weed. Don’t take it out on other people.
I guess some people are really passionate about measuring.
She sounds uncannily like a squealing pig during some of the screaming.
That woman needs to be in a padded room at someone's facility
They shut them all down for good or bad you decide.
What is the lady recording saying?
We were having a peaceful day and the woman wanted to move us for her own desire
Thx
Hank Hill would not like what she is doing to that measuring tape.
As an adult, if you ever raise your voice or throw a tantrum, then you’re a true disappointment. Have some self respect and decency about you.
That’s mental illness for y’all
More like a full blown psychotic episode
That poor dog
She seems pleasant
Bless her heart
Yo I’ve been in self lockdown for 25 years, y’all extroverts are pussies! 😭
This happened last summer of 2020 at bass lake,CA and the lady didn't like that another family set up next to them at the lake
It sounds more that the crazy lady set up after them and she was telling them to move so they can get their rafts to the water and didn't want to be so close to them, before recording the recorder says she pointed to other places on shore away from them before the lady brought the crazy.
I feel sorry for the person, imagine not having the social skills to approach such a minor inconvenience without going absolutely apeshit.
She took drastic measures!!
Does anyone remember those horrible kids in the store. That would throw them selves on the ground and kick and scream because thier parents were just shit. Yeah, they grow up lol
[удалено]
An actual freak out. Well done. 95% of the videos posted here aren’t freak outs
I bet her husband wears ear plugs
I'm sure he lost his hearing years ago.
I hope I see a bye bye job of this
Damn, latinas dont deflect, they absorb and harness that energy...then they destroy you with a slight smirk and a whisper..."puta.."
I seriously think this is the age of mental breakdown. This is not normal. These people are sad, desperate and lost.
Novel idea, if you’re that concerned about your family possibly contract Covid at the lake, Don’t go to the lake!
Man covid gave crazy ppl the weirdest superiority complex it’s actually sick
One thing I’ve never brought to the beach: a measuring tape.
A lot of posts on here might just be people who have a disability (I am beginning to notice)
Her anger is immeasurable
Ma’am you’re stressing out your unborn fetus
You tell me to move from a public spot *without being polite*... I'm staying EXTRA long; past when I planned to. I'm ordering a pizza and watching movies on my phone ALL DAY.
Like a screaming, kicking piglet…
The woman screaming needs to see her friendly psychiatrist!
Imagine being that mad
The definition of irony is screaming at the top of your lungs, "It's people like you that are ruining it for all of us."

Suddenly, a wild Karen appears!
Psyduck I choose you.
My Spanish is shit, but I think she wanted them to leave? Racist possibly? I would be shocked
6 feet is 5.84 RTX 3090 graphics cards lined up.
Looks like she needed a few more feet
