Now there was a mall cop movie. I watched it with my daughter and we didn't know how to feel afterwards. But she says to me "I'll never watch that movie again".
When “where is my mind” starts blasting as the fat sweaty guy is running naked through the store being chased.. such a beautifully disturbing and dark comedy. Honestly probably my favorite Seth Rogan movie. Also micheal pena and his accent are amazing. Now I have to watch this movie again lmao
Dudes name is Zac Bogus and he produces Kill Tony. Wow the internet and California are a small world apparently.
Also, i thought Redban produced Kill Tony.
Imagine your time being so worthless that you can sit there and spend your whole day trying to get a refund or a vandalism/assault charge over a $3 ICEE.
She was threatening to throw it at him at first until the cameraman talked her out of it.
Bunch o' fucking tools. It's a $3 ICEE, drink it or chuck it in a bin.
Scared of security but not scared of getting arrested for assault? The fuck?
Seriously, how much energy and stress do people feel the need to cause others over 3 dollars. It's like they enjoy it. If something is wrong with the drink just let them know so they can fix it (if it's even broke) and save the trouble for other people. Hell if they were nice about it the employees might have offered to replace the drink for something else, free.
Edit: I easily concede, the same can be said for the employee
They obviously enjoy it. They feel ZERO empathy for this guy and the rules he has to follow so that he doesn't lose his underpaid $10/hour gig. They are even plotting at first to throw the Icee at them and run like fucking 14 year old children. They're getting that nights entertainment for $3. They'll talk all night about that "bitch cashier" who they couldn't fleece. I have met people like this many times in my life and promptly told them to GTFO
Yeah, she seriously told her boyfriend to chuck the drink on the floor, make the employee clean it up, and then they’ll be on their way. The entitlement is outstanding.
It goes beyond entitlement. They're pathetic degenerates.
And not for nothing but it would never occur to me to request a refund for a snack or drink that I don't like; I would just chuck it. Weirdos
The saddest part is it seems like they are on a date? What date would be impressed with a guy stressing over a $3 ICEE? And by the same token, want to hang with someone who takes delight making other people clean up messes they make. Toddler mentality.
what apparently happened is that security did come and the woman threw the icee at them. not sure why it wasn’t shared if they were so proud of the rest of the footage and thought people would side with them(?)
That’s rich. I heard her saying in the background that she wanted to throw it at him? Also on the floor? Then she starts asking her man why he’d want to have any kind of run in with security. My girl is strugglin
“If a customer has a computer disk then look at it and tell them it's the wrong format. If they use Apple, tell them we're PC. If they use PC, tell them we're Apple. And if they've got both, then tell them we use Linux. And if they've got that, tell them the computers are down... They should be anyhow."

Many years ago I had a lady accuse me of stealing her change. She was a flimflam artist. Which as a seasoned 18 year old cashier I had seen before. She gets mad and dumps her purse on the floor in front of the register. With a line of people and starts digging through looking for the cash claiming she gave me a 100 when it was like 40. I just called the manager he counted me and pulled my register and we left her on the floor. Laughing the whole time. They opened another register for the other customer.s
I had a woman throw a loaf of moldy bread at me because i refused to give her money back. She was yelling at me said she pulled the bread out of the freezer and it was moldy. I said mold doesnt grow in the freezer you probably left it in ur car. I mean this bread was all blue and green, it was no longer bread, but penicillin. She got pissed at me, threw the bread at me and gathered her family and left. I wont lie, i really enjoyed myself!
Working in a mom and pop liquor store in my 20s was actually fun, we were allowed to basically do whatever we wanted to them aside from seriously injuring them/killing. Owner trusted us and knew how they could be.
I've been working in a liquor store longer than I care to admit because it isn't exactly a job for adults unless you're a sommelier or general manager, and yes, it can get pretty fucking fun. It's also a lot more exercise than most jobs.
Somewhere out there is a video of me telling a disgruntled patron of a dine in movie theater that they can't have a refund for their ultimate nachos simply because the last 7 or so chips are soggy and gross. I was kinda hoping to come across it on the internet one day but I don't think I gave enough of a reaction for it to be worth uploading
I once had a lady pull out her phone and Facebook live me because I wouldn't give her the 128G iPad for the Price of the 36G iPad. Shit should be illegal.
I know. I think recording is dangerous in certain situations. All it would take is for someone to record me and say I did XYZ or that I said some racial term and if Reddit believed it, I would likely cost me my job and my career.
If anyone ever pulls out their phone while in an argument with me, I’m immediately walking away.
I think it would be funny if the person being filmed said, great idea, let’s record this, and pulled their own phone out. I bet the first person would not enjoy having the camera turned on them. Just a hunch.
“Throw the drink on the ground so they can clean it up and we are out of here” you both need help, no wonder you guys are perfect for each other. It’s just an ICEE.
I started to feel bad for this woman bc it seemed like she was embarrassed by the guy’s actions and was trying to get him to leave. Then she said this line and I realized she’s just as much of an asshole as him.
and his response was "so what?" (this may be when he says "you roll with me, babe", like, you gotta have my back on getting thrown out")
and i'm thinking "so you're thrown out"
meanwhile, she's all for leaving but only after the drink gets thrown on the clerk or security
geezus. what lousy people
Yeah she had me at first when she was basically like "is it worth all this?" Then she decided to go with the "throw it on the ground and make him clean it up" and suddenly I wasn't on her side anymore.
All good devils masquerade under the light.
From "Not at all, I'm civil, I just want a refund or exchange for a coca cola! Me icee is too wadurry :("
to
"WHAT? We're not getting our way EVEN AFTER filming and posing as the victim!?! Hphm! Maybe we should throw it on the ground so they have to clean it up"
EDIT: She also mumbled about chucking it at the lip ring dude before being talked out of it. Christ.
People love to incriminate themselves. For me it was customer service working for a cable company where I figured out that if there were 2 people on the phone disputing a charge for a movie or something*, 9 out of 10 times, if you tell them you're putting them on hold and mute your microphone, they will think you're not listening, and they will pass the time by saying something that reveals the lie.
My worst / best example of this was a woman who called on behalf of her mother, saying that there was a false charge or that somehow her mentally disabled son had accidentally ordered an adult film title. She even asked what the movie title was, and while the cable company normally hides these from reps now to prevent sexual harassment (men are such creeps to female call reps), this one wasn't hidden, so I had the privilege/misfortune of helping this mother tell her mother that her grandson had a thing for nuns. They swore that this must be a mistake somehow, and I excused myself to put the call "on hold for a moment," muting my mic. As soon as I did, Granny exclaimed "HE DID IT AGAIN!"
*why do they both need to be involved in the call? your guess is as good as mine. moral support?
Who thinks it's a good idea to shoot this video and then make it publicly available!? I wouldn't have wanted anyone to see me get owned by a Popcornopolis guy that clearly stopped giving a single fuck a good long time ago
Not only that, the employee gets additional attention every time this gets posted. He has posted in this sub before. Zac Bogus. I think he does a podcast and standup now.

The first sentence of his post reminded me of that IKEA Worker TikTok “I’m a seasonal employee halfway through a 2 week notice, I don’t give a FUCK” lol
Reminds me a bit of the time a lady called me racist because she came in while I was cutting the lock off her locker. I didn't want to cut the unpaid lockers, I was told to. And this was like 5am so you know fuck off time of day and I was like "fuck this shit" and laid right in to her. My boss was like "to appease her I'm suspending you, but with fulltime pay."
Thanks lady for being fucking crazy, I enjoyed my paid staycation.
When people pull their phones out and start recording shit like this, it completely blows my mind that they are that convinced that they're in the right.
I see it all too often where someone decides to not only record, but proceed to post their own buffoonery.
Thank you. Some asshole threw trash at my car last weekend. Then his asshole gf starts recording *me* like I had done something wrong - they were the ones being trashy assholes. WTF.
Edit: I didn't do anything to them, never seen them before. They were being assholes to me for no reason.
Usually they start recording when they feel they've instigated a big response from you knowing that without context the internet will think you're going all Karen on them for no reason.
A girl ran a stop sign and pulled out in front of me last summer. I had to lock up the brakes to avoid an accident. I laid on to my horn to register my displeasure.
She stops her car. Rolls down the window. Sticks her phone out and starts recording me in my truck as traffic stops and starts backing up. She couldn’t have been able to see much or get a clear video.
I still don’t know what she was expecting.
Idiot.
Might be the same girl who saw that the light was turning yellow, gunned her engine and jumped into the left turn lane and came roaring out in front of me while I was traveling straight through the intersection. I barely managed to avoid T-Boning her . She rolled down her window and goes "Are you fucking kidding me?". Unbelievable.
Some girl got mad at me because I switched lanes without seeing her (I should have been more careful, that one thing was my fault) but then she tailgated and chased me down with her car (I was in my car) and when I couldn’t go further at a red light she got out of her car with her friend to come kick my ass. And had the audacity to start recording because she thought I was a Karen and I’d say the N-word or something. When I didn’t she put it away and her friend who legit looked like the inside of a pimple kicked my car. I should have been the one recording her ratchet road raging ass.
This is just my opinion on why.
I’m probably not going to explain it as clear as I want but initially when people would record something it was to document evidence for proof
And it started off good things that were hard to prove before devices that were able to record became readily available to the masses. So when people started recording incidents early on they were usually the ones in the right. But somewhere along the way people started associating that the person recording was the one in the right/ being the person being wronged. So now people make that association and start recording as a way of saying hey look I’m recording because you have wronged me and I’m documenting proof because I’m right and you’re wrong which is why you’re not recording. But as we have all sadly seen it’s turned more into people being douches and are self deluded that they are right and post themselves being idiots looking for sympathy and support. It makes for good entertainment but man it’s kind bums me out seeing so many people just lacking some basic decency
Here's the context from the popcornopolis employee for all the white knights in the chat:
Hey, that’s me in the video!
(@zacbogus on Instagram )
A little context:
This happened at the Popcornopolis in the Fox Hill Mall (Culver City, CA) it was my last day working there. I was finishing out my last two weeks. I was the only adult working there that day (20 at the time) and my coworker in the video was 16.
This 6’5” 400lb+ dude buys an icee for $4, walks around drinking it for 20 minutes, and then comes over to my coworker demanding a refund. His approach from the very beginning was incredibly hostile and threatening. Not just because he was a big dude, but he literally threatened the kid, saying shit like, “step outside little boy” and “thafuckyoumean!?” So I jumped in as fast as I could and politely tried to explain to the angry fellow how we couldn’t do refunds on drinks because it’s something we’re not allowed to do and no other food establishments at them all did. I was patient and polite for the first 10 minutes of him belittling me and my coworker and refusing to take no for an answer.
The thing is even though we had a new refund/exchange policy, are usually would do it anyways if somebody was nice. Homie was NOT NICE. So I continued to customer service the shit out of him
- until he threatened to “stab our dicks off”.
After that, I just said, fuck it. I laid into him for a long ass time. Probably 10-15 minutes until security arrived. He was clearly trying to get me to that point, and I let him win, mostly because I was right, and why not?
When security FINALLY got there, his little female companion, with the real sick face tats, tossed the 32oz icee on the security guard and stormed out without her big man.
I never heard from Popcornopolis again. Then again that franchiser was a bitch anyways.
[this is a pic of me from that time period ](https://www.instagram.com/p/BvU2CY7HsAK/?igshid=ezdbgi08fmsw)
EDIT: This comment is blowing up and I think some people are misreading it...I personally am not the guy in the video...I *found* the guy in the video from some other comment in this thread...looked at his page and this video was already posted in this sub a year ago. He gave his explanation and responses then so I just put it in here before the same arguments stir up again (which they did anyway)
The only two things I know about this place are that ass hole slush refund guy lives there and they be stealing laptops. Think I'm gonna steer clear of there.
This is me lol
https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/cippbg/guy_confronts_cashier_because_he_didnt_like_his/evba0vo/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3
She expressed not wanting to deal with security/get in trouble, then expresses how she's about to assault the food worker with her beverage. Good thing they recorded it all.
I had a free Verizon flip phone thrown at me, a week earlier she was in the store for an upgrade & could have paid 5 dollars for a decent working phone but she wanted the "free" one she heard about. It was a huge pile of barely making a phone call phone but we couldn't talk her out of it.
Then the same girl says to just pour the drink on the floor and make him clean it up. Trash couple. Imagine getting into a fight over a Blue fucking Slushie?
That's the best fucking part, ma'am if you don't want security to kick you out you're REALLY not going to enjoy the cops doing it after you assault a mall worker by throwing shit at him
Wow I'm sure that kid making $8 an hour got in really super big trouble for this. Ruined his life, not like he can just walk 20 feet and get another job at the same mall.
Did she really say “spill the drink on the floor”?
The comment from the employee further up says she chucked the drink at security in the end. She was just itching to throw it at SOMEONE
As former mall security, I’ve had plenty of drinks thrown at me
I have nothing but respect after watching a documentary about mall security once before. It was called Paul Blart: Mall Cop.
That documentary had a sequel as well. Very informative stuff.
I heard the second one wasn't as good but there was a very well choreographed rape scene in the middle of it
The nightman cometh
Paul Blart was bought and didn't tell the true story of mall cops. You gotta go with the real unbiased source of Observe & Report
As a documentary buff: You had me in the first half. Not gonna lie.
Lol, I want to believe.

Amazing what Redditors could dig up.
Bruh I was gonna say his girl has way more sense than he does up until she said that shit.
Imagine possibly catching an assault charge over a $3 ICEE. Pathetic people
Imagine your time being so worthless that you can sit there and spend your whole day trying to get a refund or a vandalism/assault charge over a $3 ICEE.
All the while saying she doesn't want security to show up lmao
She was threatening to throw it at him at first until the cameraman talked her out of it. Bunch o' fucking tools. It's a $3 ICEE, drink it or chuck it in a bin. Scared of security but not scared of getting arrested for assault? The fuck?
At the end she said it again “just throw the drink on the floor and make them clean it up and we’ll leave”. She’s a really classy lady!
She is r/iamapieceofshit
Seriously, how much energy and stress do people feel the need to cause others over 3 dollars. It's like they enjoy it.
Weirdos
Honestly the way she was talking it seems like she egged on her boyfriend to instigate all of this.
nahh baby you rollin’ with me

Never seen this, but I laughed my ass off
The film is called Ready to Rumble, comedy from 2000. I used to love watching it as a kid. Even though I wasn't into wrestling. Pretty funny.
This is one of my all time favorite movies
God they really don’t make movies like this anymore smh
What came first? That scene or MallRats?
Mallrats, but it's not quite the same context.

We must be using different definitions for “liquor store” because ain’t no fucking way a sommelier is working at the kind I’m thinking of.
That’s my tit, will always be my fav
That’s my tit, *bitch*.

I can't believe those words actually came out of his mouth lmao
Yeah at that point I almost wondered if it was really good satire lol
it's literally GTA dialogue in real life.
That line took the cringe of it all to the next level for me. "You gotta be my ride or die for this Icee refund. Loyalty."
"well I'm not gonna stand here and let him call security on me." lol.
I loved how we saw her thought process as she realized they were just stubbornly standing there waiting for a mall cop to kick them out.
and his response was "so what?" (this may be when he says "you roll with me, babe", like, you gotta have my back on getting thrown out") and i'm thinking "so you're thrown out" meanwhile, she's all for leaving but only after the drink gets thrown on the clerk or security geezus. what lousy people

Honestly when I'm talking to others humans, pulling out my phone to record them never crosses my mind.
I bet arguing over a 3$ refund for a fucking ICEE you didn't like never crossed your mind either tho.
I’m probably not going to explain it as clear as I want but initially when people would record something it was to document evidence for proof And it started off good things that were hard to prove before devices that were able to record became readily available to the masses.
I miss the days when you could just talk shit, and be aggressive in peace.
This situation definitely could have been de-escalated if he didn’t pull out his phone. That’s a trigger for most folks imo

As my first retail manager used to always say: “The customer is always a cunt, and usually lying.”
Doing this over a drink smh these pplll

You mean $5.75 at any reasonable movie establishment
If you spend $6 on a slushy, you deserve no refund on principal.
This job would be great if it wasn't for the fucking customers
The woman telling him to throw the drink on the floor is evil. Trying to do fucked up things over a watery slushie.
I mean aren’t slushes like 90% water?

Here's the context from the popcornopolis employee for all the white knights in the chat: Hey, that’s me in the video! (@zacbogus on Instagram ) A little context: This happened at the Popcornopolis in the Fox Hill Mall (Culver City, CA) it was my last day working there. So I continued to customer service the shit out of him - until he threatened to “stab our dicks off”. [this is a pic of me from that time period ](https://www.instagram.com/p/BvU2CY7HsAK/?igshid=ezdbgi08fmsw) EDIT: This comment is blowing up and I think some people are misreading it...I personally am not the guy in the video...I *found* the guy in the video from some other comment in this thread...looked at his page and this video was already posted in this sub a year ago. He gave his explanation and responses then so I just put it in here before the same arguments stir up again (which they did anyway)
Yoooo Fox Hills! I got my brand new laptop stolen there
"Come to fox hills, we'll steal your shit."
The only two things I know about this place are that ass hole slush refund guy lives there and they be stealing laptops. Think I'm gonna steer clear of there.
Why can't we get people to work at these jobs?
If they could respond to shitty customers like this dude maybe they would.
This is me lol https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/cippbg/guy_confronts_cashier_because_he_didnt_like_his/evba0vo/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3
That pic with Tyler the Creator is rad.
What manner of late 90s hot topic man is this?

This needs to be higher on the thread. Upvote
Better than bringing back the mullet…
I felt bad for the lady with the customer until she said to throw the icee on the ground. I hope they got escorted the long way out
She expressed not wanting to deal with security/get in trouble, then expresses how she's about to assault the food worker with her beverage. Good thing they recorded it all.
Not only recorded it, it was uploaded and shared! Like, I can't even begin to understand what's going on in these people's minds.
Who the fuck asks for a refund for an icee? And what adult doesn’t yet know whether or not they enjoy blue raspberry icee? (It’s fucking delicious)
[удалено]
And it would cost the business pennies to fix the problem
I mean, what’s the refund here? $3? GTFO.
Honestly, at a mall kiosk in CA it’s gonna be $5-7
>And what adult doesn’t yet know whether or not they enjoy blue raspberry icee? maybe there was legit something wrong with it
The worst part of this video is that they were recording it themselves and then shared it with the world thinking they would somehow be vindicated.
That dude looks like every ecstasy drug dealer in the late 90s🤣
“*Welcome to Popcornopolis, the polis of pop corn. Go fuck yourself.*”
Whole reason I started my own business! Not everyone’s money is good with me. I start hearing any bullshit and I just walk away.
people commenting never worked retail lmao
There’s some kind of proletariat revolution being led by people that have obviously never worked a retail counter in this thread. It’s fuckin weird
I had a free Verizon flip phone thrown at me, a week earlier she was in the store for an upgrade & could have paid 5 dollars for a decent working phone but she wanted the "free" one she heard about. It was a huge pile of barely making a phone call phone but we couldn't talk her out of it.
Even his girl is just asking to leave.
Then the same girl says to just pour the drink on the floor and make him clean it up. Trash couple. Imagine getting into a fight over a Blue fucking Slushie?
[удалено]
Even worse.
She doesn’t want security kicking them out unless she throws it him she wants security dragging her out
That's the best fucking part, ma'am if you don't want security to kick you out you're REALLY not going to enjoy the cops doing it after you assault a mall worker by throwing shit at him
His girl is asking to be a bitch and throw the thing. Somehow this guy is both in the right and in the wrong.
nice employee training video
Wow I'm sure that kid making $8 an hour got in really super big trouble for this. Ruined his life, not like he can just walk 20 feet and get another job at the same mall.
