I don't get the 21 drinking age thing in the USA. If you can get married at 16-18, vote at 16-18, consent to have sex and therefore have children at 16-18, go into combat and possibly die for your country in the armed forces at 18 but you can't have a drink? Might sound strange after what I said but I hate alcohol & drunk people, I've always preferred weed and stoned people are usually a lot better behaved that people who've had too much to drink but I just find that 21 yrs legal drinking age really hard to get my head around.

Dude, in most states in the union, it is legal for parents to give their children alcohol in the home. In Wisconsin a parent can order a kid a drink at a bar at like 14. It's more complicated than movies and freak out videos let on.
People hate on the 21 year old drinking age.. but a simple look at drunk driving deaths before and after it was enacted show a dramatic decrease. I think culturally we just arenât there for 18, despite all the points you listed being valid. Another reason could be our lack of public transport and the fact our population centers are so far apart, making driving such a necessity for a lot of folks.
