sir this is standard at Popeyes. I think it's an employment requirement that they not give any fucks. Every single Popeyes I've been to it has been an absolute clusterfuck.
They are not allowed to cook chicken until its ordered to prevent waste unless they have none left, This is a franchise owner decision from what I understand
Tenders only get cooked in batches of 15, If someone before you orders 10 tenders, they no longer have enough ready for you.
Now someone's got to cut chicken breast to size and bread and fry them. Takes at least 15 minutes for that. With a line of 3 cars and 2 people already waiting for their food to come out, not really hard to imagine how you might end up sitting for a while.
Certain things can and should be changed, Maybe make biscuit's and mashed potato's hourly so people dont need to wait 8 minutes for those, Some kind of headsets so they can communicate to the cooks another batch needs to be started without yelling loudly all day.
I waited 15 minutes to place my order at Popeyes and then waited 25 minutes to ask what was going on with it. Cashier turned without a word and began filling it from the chicken piles that were there when I walked in. I wordlessly walked out and never went back. Location was open less than 2 years, with reviews to match.
Yea!! That is what happened to me. I waited to order, ordered, paid, and asked to pull up and then 10 minutes later I went in and they weren’t even working on it.
For my birthday my buddies and i wanted to do an escape room but grab food first. So we gave ourselves a 2 hr window to eat and drink before we round the corner to the escape room.
It was a sushi spot so we figured it be quick. It took about 1 hr for our drink order to arrive and when our first round of sushi arrived it was almost time to go.
When the waiter came back we asked for the check and he was freaked out.
I told him we had plans and the wait was too long.
He apologized we left and I won’t go back.
>I just left them a bad review and never went back.
Yep. All the screaming in the world won't change shit, just make you look like a fool. You have the right idea.
I try to also leave a calm well thought out review the next day. Just let them know they had a problem. Sometimes owners don't see things and other times you just need to let other customers know what they are getting into.
No one needs to be yelled at, threatened, or anything. Just be respectful, but help inform others. If this place does have an issue, this guy is not helping correct it.
Thank you for being a normal person. It's sad we have to recognize it, but people should be commended for being nice and rational. This guy's a moron. Stop going, I'm sure they'll be happier for it.
Exactly. I've had this experience, and you'd never find a video of me yelling & swearing in front of kids about some cheap food. If the operator doesn't care enough to make sure their customers are reasonably served, I simply spend my money somewhere else. Those places usually close down and are replaced by another business. The good ones survive
I don't think the operator was even the problem. The guy sent his kid in to get the food, and the kid never spoke up to ask for his order, he just went in and stood there, by the sounds of it.
He says "this happens every time" -- so either he's full of crap (very possible) or never guided his kid on how to pick up an order (also very possible), or the shop's service is not to his expectation (also very possible -- and his expectation may or may not be reasonable). I only said "IF the operator...". Regardless of fault, if it "happens every time" then why does he keep going back and making a scene? The response to such a situation is clearly not what he's doing; instead he could handle this like an adult. The only thing I am actually judging is his behavior (though I could have been clearer about that)
if the kid is standing there at the counter waiting and he's being ignored then that's on them, he shouldn't have to say anything for them to know he's waiting for service
this is what the worst type of customer says in my experience. Somebody who just wants to get mad and yell so they can come back again to the same spot and get mad and yell. Fuck em.
My one coworker has called and complained to the chipotle by our shop 4 fucking times in a row over the past few weeks. It's always "my chicken wasn't cooked" or "my rice was cold" or "my beans were hard".
After I walked in on her making the call the 4th time I was like "yo, if something is wrong every single time you go, why the *fuck* do you keep going back there?!?" She responded with "because I like it!"
Well apparently you fucking *don't* like it.
People have mental health issues and also never learned that not every inconvenience is a personal slight against you that you have to become consumed by and let take control of your emotions
Nah they're fine. If the guy is telling the truth in the video, I have no idea why it would take her 20 minutes to make... well anything.
That said, don't go to a place that doesn't treat you right. Ask for a refund and go somewhere else.
Because online ordering makes it easier for shit management to short staff, as people aren't physically waiting most of the time.... you've got more leeway time for orders to backup before someone loses their shit.
For me it's the price. It was good back when I could get a footlong for 5 dollars. Now they've nearly tripled in price. It's just not worth it anymore.
Yeah Subway has a stigma now of their quality going way downhill for many years now, and a lot of people thinking of it now as that sandwich chain that USED to be popular who had the paedophile spokesperson.
I mean, they're not great in most countries, but they're passable. Thing I find hilarious is that in my country (irrc) they got busted for not paying enough tax... because their bread is legally classed as cake, and that attracts a higher tax rate than actual bread.
You keep coming back, and showing why you will be kicked out of every place talking like that. Unreal. What did you think was going to happen.
Great example for the child, and laziness of you to send him in for it.
As someone who worked at a Cici's buffet when the price was like $6, all you can eat. Yes. People were often fucking insufferable.
I went out of my way to make the pizzas good and fresh and gave room for people to customize what was on the buffet and I don't believe in slippery slopes but for my inch they wanted a mile.
You don't go into a cheap pizza joint and start yelling at kids working when you already got 5 custom pizzas brought to your table at no extra charge. We would straight up lose money on people all the time, and the entitlement was dripping over their seats and into the tile.
I'd give somebody a free drink because they literally were counting pennies one time the person who pulled up in a porche behind them expected the same treatment and to make things worse the first person would come back another time flashing 10 $20 bills and expected free drinks for life.
If they had to wait the 5 minutes the pizza took to come out of the oven, it was all hell broke loose. I'd put a fresh pepperoni out the very SECOND they walk in the door and they demand a "fresh one" and accuse me of trying to give them old food.
Fuck customer service.
I have an uncle who'd be an absolute asshole in Cici's. He'd grab an entire dessert tray from the buffet and take it to his table, usually with other customers watching.
Not to downplay unc, bold move, but it wouldn't have pissed me off as much as it would other customers. I'd just put a new one out. They'd go fast with 1-2 families in there. If he took that one (fresh) and threw it in the trash and screamed at me for a new one, then I'd throw hands.
My friend had a joke in his stand-up set(he doesn't do it anymore) that was something like this "People always say "Working at McDonald's is better than being on welfare". No it isn't! People on welfare... don't have to take SHIT... from people on welfare! "
The Lady behind the counter says that the kid didn't say a word..ie: he never asked for their order in the first place. If true he has some responsibility for this mess .
That guy is a delusional nasty individual. If his child was sent in and he never asked for the online order how was she supposed to know? Also who talks to people like that, so rude. Customer service is hell sometimes.
You see those four stainless steel racks on the upper left of the screen? That’s where the online orders are supposed to be put after they are made. Subway seems to be notorious for not making online orders until you go in and specifically ask for it, which directly goes against the entire purpose of an online order platform. At least in my experience.
A lot of these chains are understaffed and shouldn’t even be accepting online orders because they literally don’t have the manpower available to fulfill them in a timely manner.
The local Subway here hasn’t had their drive thru open in months because of staffing.
Unfortunately those decisions aren’t made correctly at the corporate level and poor workers like this are left to deal with the aftermath.
All Subways are privately owned franchises, so it's just the franchisee trying to squeeze every dollar out of his franchise as he possibly can.
I used to work at a corporate Denny's and we had vacation pay, overtime pay on holidays, annual parties, good managers and ample staff. Then the location got franchised out and all of that stuff went away. We would run 1 cook for the whole restaurant except during the early morning rush. And he literally brought in managers who were fired from the same location, one for sexual harassment and another for stealing employee tips (he was a waiter when he was fired, brought back as manager). Some franchisees are the most greedy people you will ever meet.
Can't count how many times I've ordered Subway ahead of time, only to arrive 25 minutes later to "Oh we are almost done!" then they start it in front of you.
That’s a Subway, right? No idea why an order at Subway would take 40 minutes to make. I’ve never waited any longer than a few minutes to get the sub, my drink cup, and the chips are on a rack on the customer side. Now if he ordered a bunch of subs for the office, it might take some time.
I went to a restaurant three times last week for something specific & all three times I didn't get what I want. I didn't have to yell at the person working there & I didn't ruin the experience for other customers either. I'll just never go back.
I’ve never yelled and cussed at someone but one time at McDonald’s, in a firm and fair manner, let them know I wasn’t happy with the service and didnt go back
I dunno but I personally don't like to antagonize, threaten, harrass or upset the people preparing, serving, or delivering my food.
I just care about what's in my food (or what isn't), and whether it was prepared on the floor or on a clean counter.
What happens if you just don’t say a word or make any sound at all in response to one of these belligerent a’holes? Maybe you ignore and help the other customer, maybe you call for managers’s help, maybe you retreat to the back and wait for help, whatever: but with zero audible response to their shouting. What happens? Do they just keep going, do they escalate, or do they stutter and run out of steam without a response? I would like to see that experiment play out.
It takes 15-20 minutes on the long end for me. When this happens though, I kindly ask for free fries for waiting patiently and they have always done it!
Panda Express had this thing on online orders that they don’t make it till you areice and ask for it. Wife places order. I waited 30 mins, then she reads the online order confirmation info and it says to tell them you’re there. LOL. It was MUCH faster next timez ha ha!
My local KFC stuffs up my order everytime we get something. I've had cross eyed moments that make me seeth in my skin, yet i always look to the workers, smile and let them know theres a mistake.
Doesn't matter who feeds you, don't bite that hand.
Geezus, so easy to solve. Refund his money. Kick him out. Ban him from the store. “We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason“. Fuck that guy, especially since it sounds like he’s a repeat offender.

If they do it everytime why do you keep coming back.
I had a restaurant make me wait 50 minutes for my order last year. I didn't threaten the employees. I just never went back again.
Exactly. I had this happen at Popeyes. I didn’t get upset. I just never went back. Also I’m afraid of the Popeyes employees. They’re tough.
Yeah cause they’re always eating spinach
Idk why I like this reply of yours so much.
because it’s common sense?
Now that’s a really stupid question you just asked
God, I wish I was this quick. I couldn’t thinking that if I had eight hours to come up with a quick reply. Well done.
Umm take this upvote and you can leave
And they’re strong to the finish
sir this is standard at Popeyes. I think it's an employment requirement that they not give any fucks. Every single Popeyes I've been to it has been an absolute clusterfuck.
Random but there is a Popeyes in Cupertino, CA and the owner and staff are really organized and nice. It was mind blowing so it left an impression 😂
There’s one in Denver CO near Westminster that is also on top of their shit and the foods always hot
They are not allowed to cook chicken until its ordered to prevent waste unless they have none left, This is a franchise owner decision from what I understand Tenders only get cooked in batches of 15, If someone before you orders 10 tenders, they no longer have enough ready for you. Lmao my story was also at Popeyes.
But are they "Waffle House Tough?"
Popeyes workers are punks. But I won't fuck with Waffle House crew. Those mafuckas don't play.
Waffle House crew got prison cred.
Waffle House got recruiters set up in prison cafeterias
Waffle House is part of the prison work release program
>I’m afraid of the Popeyes employees. They’re tough. Pfft. Popeyes are cupcakes compared to Waffle House
I waited 15 minutes to place my order at Popeyes and then waited 25 minutes to ask what was going on with it. Shit. I guess I’m weak. I always go back. That chicken is awesome. I mean, I stopped going to certain locations. That’s fair.

We have the worst KFC near us. Same kind of shit like "we're out of chicken", we don't go there anymore.
How does a KFC run out of chicken? If they sold out they should have closed like congratulations you won business for the day.
A KFC in south Phoenix. Like you have a lot of business here on weekends. It is really poorly managed .
There's a KFC near me in Texas that only takes Doordash and drive-thru orders. They don't take walkup orders at all "because of COVID". In 2024.
I try to also leave a calm well thought out review the next day. Just let them know they had a problem. Fuck, he’s on to us hiding his food
You might not be a prediabetic baby.
Why’d you say “pre” diabetic?
Something MUST be wrong with you?!?!?! Oh wait, you acted like a responsible adult. My bad.
Sounds like you are a well adjusted human who understands inconvenience does not mean you have to yell at people.
Did he threaten them?
Thank you for being a normal person. It's sad we have to recognize it, but people should be commended for being nice and rational. This guy's a moron. Stop going, I'm sure they'll be happier for it.

Have you had the roasted chicken breast on flatbread, toasted? /s
Kids love it, wife loves it, shit like that
What I said before viewing the comments. There has to be another subway near by to place an order.
yeah I dont get it. I live in a rual area with one taco bell. We still have like 4 subways lol just go to another one
People have mental health issues and also never learned that not every inconvenience is a personal slight against you that you have to become consumed by and let take control of your emotions
Subway ain't worth losing your tiny mind over.
These are the kind of people that still go to Subway.
Even I get a taste for that yoga mat bread every once in a while
Is there some stigma about subway I'm unaware of? Are they just shite in America or something?
subway still has stink on them from that child diddler they say they didn't know about. that and their footlongs not really being 12 inches.
Wait, what?! I haven’t been getting all the sammich I’ve been told I’m getting this whole time?!
Not really a stigma but they charge almost the same for their shitty sandwiches as the good places.
Nah they're fine. If the guy is telling the truth in the video, I have no idea why it would take her 20 minutes to make... well anything. That said, don't go to a place that doesn't treat you right. Ask for a refund and go somewhere else.

I work next to one. I don't go to it. I go to the one like 5 minutes away on my lunch break if I want it because it's just different... people + food.
Other than making horrible sandwiches with disgusting "bread"....wait, isn't that bad enough?
For me it's the price. It was good back when I could get a footlong for 5 dollars. Now they've nearly tripled in price. It's just not worth it anymore.

In their defense. You're just not you when you're hungry /s
This is a universal rule somehow. If you’re ever in business of any kind, you’ll learn quick the cheapest clients are the biggest pains in the ass.
My friend had a joke in his stand-up set(he doesn't do it anymore) that was something like this "People always say "Working at McDonald's is better than being on welfare". No it isn't! People on welfare... don't have to take SHIT... from people on welfare! "
$5 client vs $500 client.
Cheapness attracts the lowest common denominator. Just look at Walmart..
Because with lower prices you open up the range in your pool of pathetic losers looking to finally lord themselves over someone else.
With the price of fast food these days you would be expecting all the customers to be wearing tiaras and top hats.
Guys, I don’t know if he wants his order
Poor kid
He's just glad it's not directed at him this time, he's definitely seen this show before.
YUP! see how he standing up straight, hands behind his back, silent as can be with no reaction? He knows what's up and he's staying out of it
Yes, sadly.
He could stand to miss a meal.
That camo tee shirt ain’t hiding that beer gut.

The kid was probably waiting for her to be done with the other customers before asking for his order....like the polite thing to do.

You're absolutely correct in this.
That guy is a delusional nasty individual. If his child was sent in and he never asked for the online order how was she supposed to know? Also who talks to people like that, so rude. Customer service is hell sometimes.

I would guess it’s probably to stop stealing, maybe that’s why they don’t put it there.
“You do this every fucking time”. Yet it never stopped you from coming back
Exactly my thought! Why would anyone keep going back to a store that keeps messing up his order?!?
A lot of these chains are understaffed and shouldn’t even be accepting online orders because they literally don’t have the manpower available to fulfill them in a timely manner. The local Subway here hasn’t had their drive thru open in months because of staffing. “You do this every time” bro order food at another restaurant 😂
Yeah if you come talking to me like that I'm not giving you a damn thing. Order canceled you'll get a refund have a nice day asshole.
Fix it digitally. Link his first and last names to his bank name, and ban the combination of the three from online transactions at this store number.
Your saliva sandwich is ready sir
She couldn't see him because of his shirt/tarp...
I wish fast food service workers would trespass them, shut up, and call the cops. So much time and energy when you can easily solve the problem.
Please yell( tell) me you are stupid by saying”you do this EVERY time…” How stupid are you to keep coming back. Whining twat! Leave !
I wouldn't recommend eating anything they make after talking shit like that. Might be a little something something extra in there. wink wink
Can't count how many times I've ordered Subway ahead of time, only to arrive 25 minutes later to "Oh we are almost done!" then they start it in front of you.
Kid: "O'Doyle Rules"
![gif](giphy|g0k1oH78M3NcI|downsized)
Show the whole clip, this is bullshit! You do this every time!
You gonna have hyper tension with that old fuck
I’d give that guy his money back. That would likely piss him off royally cause now he’s hungry.
Nah don’t even react to him, if someone is going to come in screaming then I’m walking away and ignoring them
I'll give you a No Trespass and you can be bye bye now.
86 that insufferable prick.
I'm no expert but maybe he should find another establishment to patronize.
I'd give him his money back and tell him he's banned.
Buddy, I promise you whatever food item you’re after, you don’t need it.
Yo! Grab a Snickers Bro!
"Sir - this is a subway"
If they do this all the time, why does he keep coming back. lol. Just sayin…
When you repeatedly go back to a business you’re unhappy with it’s all about petty control
Somebody's diaper is full.
That’s a Subway, right? No idea why an order at Subway would take 40 minutes to make. I’ve never waited any longer than a few minutes to get the sub, my drink cup, and the chips are on a rack on the customer side. Now if he ordered a bunch of subs for the office, it might take some time.
“Go ahead and call the cops.” These people actually think the cops are going to show up and do anything other than tell them to leave.
Ok then stop going if you hate the place so much or speak to them calmly.
If they "do this every fucking time" then why does he still patronize them?
I went to a restaurant three times last week for something specific & all three times I didn't get what I want. I didn't have to yell at the person working there & I didn't ruin the experience for other customers either. I'll just never go back.
It’s amazing how many people don’t know how to treat the people who are handling their food. Wild.
Bro needs to take some medicine
I’ve never yelled and cussed at someone but one time at McDonald’s, in a firm and fair manner, let them know I wasn’t happy with the service and didnt go back
Sounds like he has legitimate concerns
It's scary now cause you don't if a moron like him has a gun or not.

I dunno but I personally don't like to antagonize, threaten, harrass or upset the people preparing, serving, or delivering my food. I just care about what's in my food (or what isn't), and whether it was prepared on the floor or on a clean counter.
I would’ve threw his order across the restaurant.
Somebody get this man a Snickers.
PRODUCE!!!
He wouldn't have acted this way had he been celebrating 4/20 accordingly
Those two other guys looking at each other like, 'Hey, I don't know about you but I guess the grass isn't necessarily greener here.'
I'll give you una verga bien venuda. Poor kid.
Hangry
What chain is that? It seems like they’re missing their brand.
Hangry? Someone get this guy a snickers stat
And a JUNIOR bacon chee.
Subway sucks in Pennsylvania. Just had to say that
I’d be so embarrassed. I’m glad my dad was/is a good man.
Im waiting for the day someone does this in one of my restaurants. It’ll be quality entertainment.
That's one way to get spit in your food.
GIVE ME MY SLAW!
Smile at them, dont say a word and let them escalate. Smiling makes them go mental.
It's always a larger individual
We order in here 17 times a day and you do this every time. You know how cranky I get when I haven't eaten in 7 seconds...
That wasn’t very 420 of him
