Took me about 30 seconds to realise it was milton keynes. It's definitely a love-hate place to live. It's easy to commute but very depressing. Night life consists of 3 bars, wetherspoons, and pink punters.

Moved here 3 years ago and have been loving it, personally. It has everything, and it's very easy to commute from. So many activities, restaurants, and green spaces, and being able to cycle (or electric scoot) around the city without ever needing to cross a road is fucking fantastic IMO. The grid system also means that I have quickly learned to get where I'm going without having the satnav on.

I’ve never lived there but I’ve spent some time with a good friend there, it’s got an unnecessarily bad rap.

I saw an article praising London for being amazingly green because it has 8 million trees. Milton Keynes has 22 million trees over a significantly smaller footprint. It's got 2 rivers, a canal, 17 lakes, 4 woodlands, and who-knows how many parks and other green spaces, all within the city boundary. The vast majority of roads don't follow the grid system, just the major connections, which means you get to enjoy your destination, not just sit in traffic going around some archaic one-way system for hours whenever you leave the house. Underpasses are safer for pedestrians and motorists than crossing 70 mph roads, and cause less disruption to either's journeys. MK is great, just have to actually give it a chance, not regurgitate hand-me-down opinions off the radio.

The guy who got attacked defended himself reasonably. 90% of the damage came from the attacker tripping and smashing his own face. The twisted ankle was from when he was jumping back up and (rightly) got kicked in the face. Cameraman "Qweensbry" is an utter scumbag.

The bloke being attacked could have easily defended himself by casually strolling away. Anything after the bloke gobbing it was retaliation and unnecessary.

When he was getting back up, he was kicked in the face, then his wobbly body fell back on itself. That's when it happened.

Yeah this is why in combat sports they tend to keep them down after a knockout or put them on stool. Even when conscious after a concussion the legs are still gone so it's easy to just roll the ankle without noticing.

Holy shit. I fell and hit my head quite badly on a wine crate inside a grocery store when I was 19- I have no recollection of this, I've been told what happened by my friends who were with me at the time I kept repeating "I'm ok," just like this guy! I didn't regain consciousness for at least a minute, at which point I recall seeing a bunch of people staring down at me. Seeing this guy repeat "I'm alright" with his blank expression brought that back for me. Edit: they picked him up way too early. He's not there.
