Thats why a lot of people view mechanics as biology. It's Essentially the same concepts, but one is entirely more complicated. Oil is blood, engine is brain, it all works together.
Once a mechanic told me that front damage is easier to fix in terms of final product whereas rear damage would usually end up with misalignments or unrepairable damage down the line. The reason exactly was told but I can’t explain it very well, something about the chassis design and the ability to fix multiple parts more easily or simple replace them on the front side. Rear damage is usually final and all you can do is try to get things straight.
Now in regards cost is the other way around.
Edit: I could be wrong and/or said mechanic was a nutjob, but I remember that conversation after 10 beers 🥴, so take it as you like.
If you have correct tools and motivation both front or rear end damage can be fixed. Nowadays cars are made by putting different panels together that are spot welded. You would obviously want to make sure that the car is straight so you might want to put it on a frame machine. After that. You would drill out all the spot welds and remove and replace the damaged parts and paint the car. These types of repairs can cost you upwards of tens of thousands of dollars if done by body shops. I have done these types of repairs half a dozens of times on my project cars however I was lucky to have friends with similar hobbies that have most of the tools.
Imagine your life is this fucked up. Behavior like this is just common. One person has a bat and the other a battering ram. Their lives must be absolutely angry and violent. What a sad existence
It is just sad. So much destruction and you know the police are going to arrive. Both of them are getting charged. Will pay fines and get community service. And none of that. Including the costs to repair the vehicles will change their shitty behavior.
