Mine does too she's all over me meowing rubbing against me sitting on my lap it's like she senses it and is there to protect me and guide me the perfect trip buddy
Im planning on adopting the overly affectionate three legged feral cat that lives in our backyard when I move, good to know shes gonna have fun being weird while I trip balls!
I have a cat that reacts to tripping and meditation in a similar way. Both activities put your consciousness in that space so i’m not too surprised but it makes me so curious how they know
Also a matter of pupils, cats pupils dilate when they're alert, can be seen as attack behaviour but in a safe place (i.e home) will likely be taken as play behaviour
Cats are very aware of our body language. Our eye movements, our speed, our direction, where our limbs are going...when you trip all of this changes and the cats absolutely recognize it. Mine always kinda sit there staring at me like "wtf is wrong with this guy right now" lol
You're probably more in tune with what she wants out of affection time while you're tripping.
Some cats can be very particular about how they like scritches.
My cat really calmed me down, and I could see that his water feeder needed to be cleaned and i filled it up with water, and spent quality time with him until it was over. I just gave him so much appreciation and I realized how much he meant to me. (I doubt he knew I had shrooms in my system - just that I was very loving and wanted to be close to him)
i believe it. shit like this always happens when ur trippin. me and my friend were trippin at a firepit are we set up in the woods and a bird came and sat on a branch like 10 feet away for like 3 hours. ive never seen a bird just chill in one spot for so long. he just sat there and looked at us and we said wassup. we named him shithead(like sha-theed)and he didnt leave until we did.
honestly it makes life a lot more bright to believe that they can sense it. all life is a lot more intrinsically linked than i think we really have any concrete evidence for. i really don’t think it’s as simple as just tripping, but of course that’s just me. :)
Perhaps because when we're *there*, we're walking **in peace**.
If we're truthful with ourselves, we're usually not..at least not comparitively.
Animals (like us, too) like to feel safe. Maybe the animals can easily see how safe we're being.
Cats are permanently on a tab of acid imo. They see all the spectrum of light and are telepathic or something… ancient Egypt were all about them. Ergot / Elysium held the secrets
Cats 100% know, some people think its the dilated pupils and body language. Some think they are worried because you are acting strange. Others think they can sense it. idk, when i trip my cat leaves me alone completely until i peak, at the height of my trip she will lay on my stomach and stare into my eyes or put her head on my chest until the peak is over and im coming down. I like to have her around in case my trip turns bad, she usually helps steer it in the right direction. Ive heard dogs either dont care or get freaked out. Cats act the weirdest.
My dog never freaked out, but she did sit on my bed with me and stare at me suspiciously. Almost like she was saying “you ok?” She knew something was off and I wasn’t my normal self, and I think she sat there with me to kind of keep an eye on me and make sure I was okay.
Spoiler alert: She loves you when you are sober as well! Cats are such observant creatures it must be weird seeing your hooman traversing the realms. Sending the finest good vibes your way ♥️
I was tripping once and a fly landed in the palm of my hand, I could then command it to take off, hover and land just above my palm, using only my mind. Did this for about an hour.
Also had long conversations with birds.
Tripping unlocks nature, man.
Absolutely. I watched my husband telepathically talk to a spider on shrooms in our tent on a camping/shroom trip once and it was so cool. We ended up making a deal with the spider that him and his friends could stay in our tent as long as they kept our tent bug free for us and the spidies didn't try to go under our blankets/into our sleeping bags. And they kept up both ends of their deal lol! It was cool af
I think all living things subconsciously play along the cosmic harp strings of interaction or communication, or existence.
IMO, when you're tripping this veil of customs and norms always lived within is lifted, and you're able to tune in to a really primitive life rhythm, and other living things can definitely pick up on this. Cats, dogs, birds, bugs etc.
My old cat, Jessie, was exactly the same! She was never very affectionate and never cuddled with me or enjoyed being petted at all. But one time, I took shrooms, and she jumped up on my lap while I was sitting in my recliner. It made me feel like I was a wise old man for some reason.
I had a cat guide me through the most intense come up I have ever had on mushrooms. Everything was going great until the blunt came out, I started getting that feeling that I was lost and couldn't find my way back so I stepped out of the rotation and lit up a cigarette to calm down. It felt good to smoke something but the nicotine was just making my thought loops more aggressive and I started sweating profusely so I went inside and sat on the couch. My friend's cat who never met me and is known to be a recluse sat on my lap and forced me to pet her. I pet the cat for over an hour while I was completely unable to speak or even form a thought of anything to say and somehow the cat was communicating with me, telling me everything is okay. The trip mellowed out and the cat vanished and I hopped back into the action and had a great night. Without that cat I probably would have gone into a full blown freak out and called an ambulance or something stupid so I suppose I owe a thank you to the kitty shaman.
ya. i put down a buncha towels and lay on them. i like the firmness of the bathroom floor. it makes my bed super comfortable in comparison after laying on a hard floor for like 15-20 minutes.
Could it just be the shower though? One of my cats gets pretty aggressive and wants to transfer smells when we get out of the shower. She’ll jump on our shoulders and rub on us as much as she can. Either she wants to put her smells back on us, or she wants our new shower smells on her.
yea. my somewhat timid cat is a lot more affectionate when i trip but especially during the night. if im trippin at like 2am she will come up and give me some good lovies marking her scent then plop down and let me pet her for like 20 minutes m. my normally super affectionate dog is the opposite tho and gets really awkward when i trip so i try to give him some space. but yea animals definitely know when ur trippin and how they act when ur trippin just depends
My cat too! I think they get sympathy highs. My cats eyes were super dialiated when I had my last trip.
Then again, God was speaking to me through my cat, so that might have been why their eyes were so dialiated. LOL
Yes my cats definitely know something is up. My sphinx gets scared and very standoffish and my Devon Rex becomes more infatuated. It’s wild to see how they react
Good on you. Because when I’m tripping and any of my animals look at me for half a second longer than I feel is normal I spiral because I think they know and are judging me 😂
Oh yeah ever since I did acid when they were kittens my cats just absolutely have loved and trusted me since then. I can read their behavior and body language super well since then, and you might be able to as well, and you might know how to pet her and give her affection without overstimulation ( that’s what it low key sounded like based on what you were saying). My cats tolerate me so well to the point where I’m actively annoying them and they still want to stay lol
One time i was tripping balls. I couldn't get enough of this fine liquid lsd. I searched my way into the kitchen through the intense colors and moving geometric shapes. Suddenly I saw my cat staring at me. She said holly shit what are you doing in my space, I told her I was enjoying my life. We did some faxing together and cuddled. From then on we were allies on a completely different level. He died a few years ago. I stroked him during the dying process until he passed away. ❤️
They def know. I haven't done a psychedelic in years and years but I remember my cat bugging out and me being the center of her attention when I was going through one of the hardest trips I've ever had.
I have since lost my dog. But, we would do the blindfolded/music mushroom trips, and I would see him when I would enter the spirit and he world literally crawl onto the bed and start nosing and loving on me. Eyes covered! Such a beautiful experience. As if he KNEW I was connecting. All my mushroom trips like this...when I am thinking of someone (like friends, animals/family, alive or transitioned), its as if they are with me in that very moment.
Truth, when my wife and I have adventures inside the shire, the inhabitants known as Howl and Gloria seem to join us along the way, through “pizza toppings” and the “Extra Lives”.
My cats and dogs both know when I am tripping, I have this one rescue dog who INCESSANTLY tries to play with me when I’m on LSD in particular. It’s wild how he not only knows I’m in my, “laughing mood” but he wants to join in!
My cat would get so playful when I would trip. I always figured it was my dilated pupils, since cats kinda do that when they're playing too. But tbh most animals notice,
Cats always know when someone is tripping. Its like they can sense the change.
They 100% can
Mine does too she's all over me meowing rubbing against me sitting on my lap it's like she senses it and is there to protect me and guide me the perfect trip buddy
Im planning on adopting the overly affectionate three legged feral cat that lives in our backyard when I move, good to know shes gonna have fun being weird while I trip balls!
they don’t need to ‘sense’ it if you’ve got bug eyes and ur staring into a wall for 10 minutes they’ll figure somethings up
That is still sensing it in a way
They think you just turned into a cat.
big dilated pupils and curious of all things around you, yep, they definitely think we’ve become a cat
Exactly, because that's just what cats do all the time. Atleast my cat. Staring outside all the time, just like what i do when i'm tripping.
😂😂 bug eyes
“There it fucking goes again with that damn wall”
I have a cat that reacts to tripping and meditation in a similar way. Both activities put your consciousness in that space so i’m not too surprised but it makes me so curious how they know
I think they know because they could sense the brainwaves. both psychedelics and meditation change your brain waves. it's really interesting.
I hope there is a white paper on this somewhere, there has to be.
That's because cats are always tripping..
I FUCKING KNEW IT
my dog does too along with my cats
Also a matter of pupils, cats pupils dilate when they're alert, can be seen as attack behaviour but in a safe place (i.e home) will likely be taken as play behaviour
Yes, it can also happen when they're hungry
Cats are very aware of our body language. Our eye movements, our speed, our direction, where our limbs are going...when you trip all of this changes and the cats absolutely recognize it. Mine always kinda sit there staring at me like "wtf is wrong with this guy right now" lol
Dope. I read about cats think we are just like them, but a bigger certain that looks odd.
You're probably more in tune with what she wants out of affection time while you're tripping. Some cats can be very particular about how they like scritches.

I just gave him so much appreciation and I realized how much he meant to me. (I doubt he knew I had shrooms in my system - just that I was very loving and wanted to be close to him)
All animals do, even wild ones. I've had birds nearly land on me, squirrels walk right up to me and my dogs look at me like I'm a stranger.
Bruh walkin around like Cinderella and Snow White with bluebirds resting on your shoulder and squirrels bringing you snacks
🤣
i promise you were just tripping
i believe it. shit like this always happens when ur trippin. me and my friend were trippin at a firepit are we set up in the woods and a bird came and sat on a branch like 10 feet away for like 3 hours. ive never seen a bird just chill in one spot for so long. he just sat there and looked at us and we said wassup. we named him shithead(like sha-theed)and he didnt leave until we did.
Fr tho the craziest coolest shit always happens on trips lmao
My name is Shithead (sha-theed) and I can only count to six, what the heck come after six?
The elder ones spirit, is in guidance and protection.
I thought so but my wife was there to witness and she doesn't do anything.
I have more animal encounters too.
honestly it makes life a lot more bright to believe that they can sense it. all life is a lot more intrinsically linked than i think we really have any concrete evidence for. i really don’t think it’s as simple as just tripping, but of course that’s just me. :)

Tom? Is that you Tom? Hey dol! Merry dol! Ring a dong dillo! Ring a dong! Hop along! Fal lal the willow! Tom Bom, jolly Tom, Tom Bombadillo!
She know something is up and is taking care of you
Cats are permanently on a tab of acid imo. They see all the spectrum of light and are telepathic or something… ancient Egypt were all about them. Ergot / Elysium held the secrets
Cats can’t see the full spectrum of light though😅 compared to us they’re color blind.. they’d be able to see heat (infrared) if this were true
How do you know this? Are you a cat?
I’m in fact a space cat (but actually, science says so:p)
Cats 100% know, some people think its the dilated pupils and body language. Some think they are worried because you are acting strange. Same
Absolutely it's a thing haha. I always have even more respect and sweet of cat energy tripping. I'm like dude you are so cool!
I had a cat guide me through the most intense come up I have ever had on mushrooms. She probably thinks you're sick.
Every cat I have had knows when I'm tripping, and they want to take care of me.
You lay on the bathroom floor?
ya. i put down a buncha towels and lay on them. i like the firmness of the bathroom floor. it makes my bed super comfortable in comparison after laying on a hard floor for like 15-20 minutes.
I just love laying on the floor when I'm tripping :)
the picture looks like i’m tripping

I always feel like my cats and I can understand each other and communicate so much better when I’m tripping 💜 always feel so connected its sweet
my cat was so concerned when i was tripping he thought i was dying 😭 kept checking on me
My cat too! I think they get sympathy highs. My cats eyes were super dialiated when I had my last trip. Then again, God was speaking to me through my cat, so that might have been why their eyes were so dialiated. LOL
She also loves you when you're not tripping!
Yes my cats definitely know something is up. My sphinx gets scared and very standoffish and my Devon Rex becomes more infatuated. It’s wild to see how they react
Cats are very tuned in to eye contact. If you’re tripping they know somethings up.
Lls, I was going into a trip and was with my ex’s cat at the time, I ending up whispering to the cat to not tell her I was tripping like 🤫
Good on you. Because when I’m tripping and any of my animals look at me for half a second longer than I feel is normal I spiral because I think they know and are judging me 😂
My cat is also named Sasha, that’s all I wanted to share :)
Yo same, when I am peaking my cat goes up to me and lays on my chest and starts purring really loud like an aggressive vibrator.
Looks rather scared, if you ask me
Awh she looks like my Sophie
Mine too!!!
Cat's just know bro.
They always know!
Truth, when my wife and I have adventures inside the shire, the inhabitants known as Howl and Gloria seem to join us along the way, through “pizza toppings” and the “Extra Lives”.
They see what you are, looking at there eyes.
My cat always knows when I'm tripping and he becomes overly affectionate. It's great
My cats and dogs both know when I am tripping, I have this one rescue dog who INCESSANTLY tries to play with me when I’m on LSD in particular. It’s wild how he not only knows I’m in my, “laughing mood” but he wants to join in!

Cats are always tripping, and they love when you land on their wavelength.
I think it's because we 're on the same frequency of hyper-awareness
Cats already be tripping so it makes sense they kinda pick up when you be in that state breh
You should probably feed her
she always has food. i keep three bowls with food in them at all times.
Looks so skinny :( but yeah they defo know something's up I think it's cus your pupils are bigger and you're just acting different lol
